    Quite a difficult project. It came out really nice. Are you going to oil it? I remember in the video of you making the first cover how hard a time you had with the angled sewing on the bottom. Looks like you have that all figured out now. Still quite a fussy job I'm sure. Thanks for another great video!

    hey nice work! im working on a case of my own. do you think its important to have the fasteners placed between two pieces of leather like you did at 10:00 ? or do you think it would work just fine with one single piece of leather

    • @garyipip
      @garyipip  12 днів тому

      Thank you for your comment, I think it is possible to not having a fasteners, the purpose of having the snaps is for the camera straps, the case is more secure to have a loop around the snap. Besides, one single piece of leather is totally fine, honestly, two pieces glued together is a little bit overkill, happy stitching!

    Thanks for sharing these videos, they are indeed an inspiration for these of us interested in leather art. Is the original drawing of this cover available in PDF format on request?

      @@garyipip thanks so much! I'm planning on working on a similar project. do you have a recommendation for the chisel and thread size?

    • @garyipip
      @garyipip  2 місяці тому +1

      @@derekhackert4585 since this is a relatively smaller item, I would suggest use smaller chisel along with thinner threads, the outcome will be more delicate.

    May I know what sort of material did you use for the black base in 2:55?
    Feel like making one half case for my camera as well after watching this..

    Hi! This is a nice project!
    How thick is rhe leather that you are using?
    Another question: what's the name of this leather or the kind of this leather?
    With these informations it would be easier for us to find the right leather in our countries to buy.

    • @garyipip
      @garyipip  5 років тому +1

      Thank you very much!!! its about 1.8 to 2mm thick, vegetable tanned cow leather, original color!!!
