Instead of just looking at Knight, try looking at how Jones and Knight compliment each other. That’s the key to the run stopping we’ve seen lately. They fill the gaps and don’t trip over each other.
As of now he’s the most impactful. Murphys a rotational player right now and Knight is playing more snaps. Not saying Murphys bad just that he’s got better players in front of him and Knight doesn’t.
@@warrenjohn1307 Murphy doesn't get to run and hit by virtue of his position. The run and hit guys stand out more, naturally. But Murph is doing his job. On the play at 1:45 that this clip covers for Knight, saying he caused the run to fail, look what Murphy (91) does. Stacks and sheds like a pro and actually makes the bigger contribution to the stop. What will be fun to watch is whether he can stretch his game to get more penetration, more often.
All DL are rotational. No one plays 100% of the snaps. McDonald mentioned he likes to see DL stay at 60-65% of snaps. That's why you need good depth. Our run D suffered when Murphy was out
@@gummiesrule88 I’m not saying that Murphy is bad just that he plays the same position as Leonard Williams and Jarren Reed, both of which are better than him rite now. Changing out our LBs is the single most impactful thing on the season thus far which is why he’s been the most impactful rookie.
Really excited about Knight. One thing I do remember from the game is it seemed like he got a little too eager sometimes and let McBride open. However, mcbride is a great tight end, and Knight seems like a really intelligent player, which makes me really optimistic that he can clean up those mistakes.
McBride is a really tough cover, especially for a rookie. He sells the block really well. Coby Bryant mentioned that the D sold out to stop the run so you give something up to do that, which was McBride
Knight in general just seems like a really chill dude. Yes you'd like players to hype your team (Witherspoon, etc.), but when things get nasty and hope feels lost, you want someone that stays calm and composed to help lead. Knight has that and he's only a rookie. Hopefully it's just up from here.
TK is so smooth. Great at just about everything you will need your LB to do. Might not be the flashiest player on the field but him and Ernest Jones are quickly becoming one of the best LB duos in the entire NFL.. watch out now. Seattle entering their scary era. Teams wont want to play us when we are at our best.
Dang good stuff dude you got me fired up about a Tyrese knight!!! ❤ got me I subscribed keep this content coming I’m super excited about our new defense
I thought Trotter Jr., or the kid from NC State was the pick, but Knight has looked great! He’s a dog. He will be a beast in year 3. He’s already impressive.
The defense as a whole is doing really well now and he will keep improving. The O line a problem for pass protection, but otherwise things are looking better.
Remember when some people were saying that Knight was probably going to ride the bench and just help on goal line? Leading tackler in Division 1 football, only helping on goal line-ok.
It's funny how as a Hawks fan he actually reminds me a little of Wagner. Even down to the way he looks when walking normally with a bit of that slight inverted knee movement like Wagner had. I'm not sure who was the first evaluator was to say that he goes off script or is undisciplined, but everyone started parroting that. I think if you're an elite linebacker playing at a small school, they're probably going to ask you to take chances, and even if you're not taking chances intentionally, it might look that way if you're one of few on the D able to compete at a high level.

Dude was the draft pick that everyone dismissed as a reach but he might be our 2nd most impactful pick behind Murphy.
Yes 👏

Jones and Knight make a great tandem. Excited to see them grow in this system!
Welcome to Seattle, Tyrice!
This kid is a tackling machine
Mike's been telling us since training camp
He was a machine in college, not sure why people are surprised

Is that chill meme dude reference
@ I was not thinking about that, but that meme could apply to him lol.

Nice analysis. Thanks!

Ernest Jones and Knight are the dynamic duo 😎💙💚

He will only get better.A great pick.
knight been balling #48 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jones IV is already a top 10 line backer but ince tyrice develops man

Mike Macdonald knows what he wants to do with his defense. Moving on from a few LBs in mid season left some fans scratching their head
This makes the cut of Dodson make more sense. They probably couldn't justify keeping Knight off the field anymore.
If injures don't become a problem for him, call me crazy but he WILL be future superstar caliber type of guy like fred warner or roquan smith
This kid look really good on film.
He looks solid right now remind me of Bobby Wagner

Funny how so many were down on him when he was drafted 😂😂.

Even when he makes a play he barely celebrates unless we winnin…. I likem
UTEP
Who was supposed to take mcbride? Seems like the weak side linebacker?
Raiders need John gruden back fire ap gruden is the only coach who can fix the raiders
