"I Hope I Never" with Split Enz and "Living In A Minor Key" from Escapade are superb compositions. I listened to both on long road trip last week, and they stand the test of time. Poignant, evocative lyrics against superb compositions make them endlessly enthralling. He's brilliant. :)
I like how pleasant everyone is and they all seem genuine. Must be an Australian/NZ thing. Good people. Have given the world a lot for such small nations.
I love Tim Finn…. I am an American who lives in Los Angeles and sadly the Finns are hardly known here. Some people know Crowded House and some people remember a couple of Split Enz songs from 80s compilations but they haven’t enjoyed nearly the success and acclaim in America that they deserve.
@@gavinhicks3474 I think he beats it every time he sings Charlie. If you've never heard the version from Melbourne '80 you're missing out on something special.
Tim is a hell of a writer and seems painfully honest through his work. Just listen to the lyrics to "without a doubt" by split enz. And what a remarkably classic and brilliant song, just one of many by both Finn brothers.
It's called Dupuytren's contracture.I inherited it from my mother.Affects little finger of right hand(if right handed) and ring finger on left hand.I changed to a low inflammatory diet(keto) and it stopped getting any worse. That was nearly seven years ago.
Yes! I know a Physiotherapist who has to change careers now because her hand is in constant pain and she discovered from her Doctor, that it was this Viking hand thing that Tim is talking about!
The Finns are true class and pure talent...and humour!! We are so lucky they've given us so much over the years❤❤❤
Tim is a true inspiration for many reasons. Our world is lucky to have such a brilliant songwriter/musician in it.
Amen
God bless you Tim ❤
I love the way he says "joyous" so often. Uplifting.
Six months in a leaky boat is an absolute classic. Love it

The whole 'Escapade' album is a sonic acomplishment.

Brilliant! Good to see Tim in good shape 🙏🏻
who is this old fart?
Always try and make sure i see Tim, when he is in Scotland.
What a refreshingly relaxed interview with sensible questions
I love that Man. Legend
‘I hope I never’ is an incredible song. Haunting song! Best falsetto ever!! Even better than Barry Gibb.
Unbeatable

How can someone look so good at 70?
The Finn brothers are gentleman
Tim is so great. I am willing to put up with watching The Project for 5 minutes. I agree " I hope I never " is brilliant!

Dude got more handsome as he's aged
What an attractive man !!!
I have the same condition. In my family, we call it Viking finger (I'm pretty certain that's not the correct term). Sounds like a heavy metal band.

Splendid interview, and I love these interviewers too. Makes me wish I was in Oz, but at least I can subscribe here!
Nice interview. But they could've asked about his new album with Phil Manzanera.
Forenzics. Fantastic stuff.
I'd love to have a beer with this guy and I don't even drink.
why start now then?
The only good looking old guy ever ❤❤❤
Why is the closed captioning always turned off when you need it the most? I have no idea what they're saying!
You are loved.
Not even close! ❤
Great interview.
legend
The "hand thing" is likely Dupuytren's Contracture.
I hope I never is my fave song too! ❤
Tim looks to be doing and looking great, while Neil is over in Glastonbury
Best work IMO was with Phil Judd - incredible songwriting partnership.
🌀 super interview 🌀 🌟
Top class
Paul said he wish he could write like Tim
A hard act to follow...
Six months in a leaking Snekke or was that a Drekkar
Saw Tim Finn on his 'Feeding The Gods' tour in Sydney. Worth every penny.
Save time. It's the song he wrote yesterday.
😊
I suspect it is Dupuytren's contracture, not great if you are an artist or musician!
Yes, difficult to stretch an octave! 😟
I said I hope i never before he did hehe
Unpopular opinion- Tim is a better songwriter than Neil.
I don't think that's too unpopular. Both great, but I think Tim is a genius.
