Welcome to my city Kevin. As much as the historic centre is fantastic, it is expensive. Next time try crossing the Alameda and go to Soho - some great bars - La Fabrica is one - but plenty of others too. In the daytime in the summer, take a short bus ride down to El Palo or Pedregelejo as the beach bars down there are fabulous and cheap but very Spanish. Try the sardines. You ask about Christmas here. Christmas is wonderful, but avoid Malaga city on December 24th and 25th plus December 31st. It is a mainly Spanish city and most places tend to close in the evenings on those dates so that the bar staff and customers can go home to spend time with their families. Some, however, reopen at about 1am. If you want to spend a UK style Christmas or Hogmanay, then you would have to take a short bus or train ride to Torremolinos or Benalmadena where there are plenty of UK and Irish bars. The Christmas lights in Malaga are spectacular though and shouldn't be missed. I will look out for you next time you're in Malaga - though I am never here in July or August as it is too hot. Then you'll find me in the UK.
@@manuelfg2902 Hola, no soy Boquerón soy inglés y estoy jubilado.
