After we published the video, we received a copyright claim for 8 seconds of music that was played in the video. Those music companies are SAVAGE man! In order to get the claim removed, we ended up having to cut out a minute of the reaction at the top of the video (which is why there is a weird jump cut). Just to be clear, we are aware that Talya is Mysaria's (aka The White Worm's) spy within the keep and that she sends out a message to Mysaria using candles :) That's about it!
Helaena’s children are Aemond’s not Aegon’s.
10 reasons why
Reasons: 1) In episodes 7 Aegon says he doesn’t want to marry her and Aemond says that he would and perform his duties.
2) Aegon doesn’t care for his duties that’s why Helaena never seems to know where Aegon is.
3) In episode 8 when Helaena gives her speech about marriage she says “it’s not that bad he mostly just ignores you” then she takes a pause as she looks at everyone realizing that if Aegon ignores her all the time than how could he be the father her children. Then she says “accepts when he’s drunk” to cover her own behind and her children. And then everyone starts laughing and Otto says “Good” as in good you managed to save your own behind.
4) When Jace ask Helaena to dance Aegon looks at Aemond like he knows about him and Helaena and to keep a cool head as to not expose themselves by getting angry for asking Helaena his lover to dance.
5) In episode 9 right before Otto and Alicent come in to her chambers to ask where Aegon is she tells her children that if one sibling is giving everything the other will get jealous and want to take it themselves which represent Aemond he feels that the Iron Throne and Helaena should be his not Aegon’s.
6) Right after Helaena tells Otto and Alicent that she doesn’t know where Aegon is Otto storms off to come up with a plan to find and Alicent tries to talk with him and she says “Father” and you can hear one of Helaena’s children says “Aemond”.
7)Aemond looks shocked to find Alicent in Helaena’s chambers and Helaena looks at him them looks down nervously since they both know they shouldn’t be in her chambers alone since she is a married women and Targaryen’s are known for incest which can cause rumors to spread about them and the legitimacy of her children.
8)Aemond tells Ser Criston that he’s next in line for the throne if Aegon is dead or cannot be found. This statement would only be true if Helaena’s children weren’t Aegon’s . If Aegon was dead or they couldn’t find him then Aegon and Helaena’s first born would be next in line not Aemond. But he knows he is next in line because Helaena’s children are his bastards.
9) This show emphasizes characters hair as a way to determine parentage if you notice Aegon and Helaena both have wavy curly hair but “their” children have straight hair just like Aemond.
10) When it looked as if Rhaenys was going to burn them with her dragon Aemond protects Helaena and she grabs his arm when I believe the show depicts her as being autistic since she some characteristics like she doesn’t like physical contact when Alicent hugs her in episode 8 she just stand still with her arms down and in episode 9 Alicent tries to console her by touching her arm she pulls away so if she is portrayed as being autistic as I believe she is. She would only have physical contact with someone she trust like her lover Aemond.
Rhaenys Targaryen was one word away from ending the series 🐉
Dracyrs
You mean by becoming a kinslayer, the most accursed thing these people think a person can be? I don't think she wanted to be that, buddy.
@@Regenmacher175 instead she stays her hand and ends up killing most of house targaryen anyway. Power of hindsight i guess ha
@@freebird6591 yeah, none of this had to happen. That's the tragedy of it. The blacks and the greens fought first with ravens after Aegon got crowned because they did not wish to kill their own kin initially...until someone got killed by someone from the same family, at which point everyone just was out for blood. We're not at that stage yet and certainly Rhaenys, someone who has been so far very schrewd and a character more neutral than others would not do this at this stage.
@@rudraprakashkhuntia3477 you almost got it
You guys didn't seem to catch it but the reason Alicent and Otto fought over who would get Aegon is they both want to influlence him differently. Alicent wants to counsel him to show Rhaenyra mercy and Otto wants to counsel him to have Rhaenyra, Daemon and their children assassinated.
Another thing they didn't seem to notice is that Larys burned Mysaria's place.
@@jrsoares3074 I didn't understand what was happening in that scene myself
ALicent is not a good person.. She would kill Rhanerya if it came too it without question
@@prettynerd4779 Rhaenyra is not a good person either.
still, alicent wanted to convince herself that her son was supposed to be the king when there were still people who questioned it.
Larys is really a creepy one. He don't need power he only wants the queen's feet 😅
so larys is basically Mort from penguins of madagascar🤣
Both.
Could have done without the foot fetish wanking as part of his motivation.
He killed his family just for some royal feet
He has feet fetish.
I think the reason why it was important that Christon and Aemond got to Aegon first is because if Otto got to him first they would’ve ordered Rhaenyra’s death
He would have convinced his grandson to kill his sister for sure.
It would have been the right call.
@@khaalmalki4039 L they wouldnt be able to kill her anyway lmaooooooooo
reluctance to kill is not a weakness. alicent foreshadowed the end of this episode beautifully.
It is considering she dies later due to this mistake
I also want to point out the numberous fathers and mothers that she killed crash landing her dragon. She didn’t care enough to think of their children but “hesitates” on people she views as traitors? Also, she just fueled the propaganda machine for the Greens. “See, look how bad the Blacks are. They killed so many innocents”
Reluctance to murder
good tie-back, i didn't notice that. lots of people were wondering why rhaenys didn't just toast them all right there. but it makes sense the conversation alicent and rhaenys had now.
Even though she killed hundreds if not thousands of people in that room
The location in the end was not the Great Sept of Baelor, that Cersei blew up (that one wasn't built yet). It was the Dragonpit, hence the appearance of Meleys (Rhaenys' dragon).
Exactly 👍
baelor comes later along the line.
Sept of baelor was constructed by daemon's grandson baelor the blessed
Yup, the famously known danearys entry.
Also, at the beginning Haelana had a vision "there is a beast beneath the boards".
Each time she says a random thing, it always comes to fruition within the episode or the next one.
Sad that no one in her surroundings seems to see that. The Targaryens did have a few seers throughout their story, though. I'm surprised no one, even Vyseris, has caught on about her powers.
Why is Rhaenyra to blame for Criston becoming a jerk? It’s his own fault that he didn’t remain true to his vows and then couldn’t handle rejection.
Exactly, he also chose to be spiteful instead of being mature and letting it go. Especially considering all his crimes including assaulting Laenor whilst brutally murdering Joffrey at the wedding.
The Targaryans ruled the 7 Kingdoms not because the people supported them. It's because of the fear made by their dragons. The "Queen who Never was" just wanted to remind that thing to those gathered people
My theory is that she reminds alicent that she could be powerful if she intends to do so. It's a connection to what she said earlier in the episode, "can you imagine yourself sitting on the iron throne".
Rhenys has an insecurity 'the queen who never was' when you remind her of that, she whip a word or a statement like the last scene on your face, like what she did to young Rheanyra.
Lmao the opposite happens. She's the dumbest person in the dynasty. She killed hundreds of commonfolk which in turn would assassinate their dragons later.
The Greens have the most badass dragon in the world.
@@kurtrivero368 They'll be fucked up at the battle. Demon is Coming..... 😈😈😈🖤🖤🖤
I think she wanted to show Alicent that if she wanted to, she could have ended Alicent's whole snake bloodline there and then. But she didn't. Also, the dragon roaring was declaration of war from her side and also the answer to Alicent's plea for her support. The dragon was like " FUCK YOU ALL, WE ARE NOT GONNA SUPPORT YOU AND YOU JUST WROTE THE SCRIPT TO YOUR DOOM"
That was dragonpit, i can't believe you missed Rhaenys smile when she saw they were going into dragonpit
Eve Best and Olivia Cooke are just killing it. The scene between the two was priceless.
Yes both of their expressions wow that's just simply magnificent.
Yep specially Rhaenys as the peasants in the dragon pit can attest to. Yassss queeeeeen! 🙄
Damn. I didn’t expect Larys to have a little Tarantino in him. Yikes
He killed his own brother and father without remorse so yes he's a sociopath 😂
He’s an ancestor
More like Dan Schneider lul
@@diegobj4600 oh god don't remind me.. Those Ariana Grande videos freaked me out
Talya got the message out with those candles she lit in that window. I’m sure that’s why they showed that.
🥱☠️I’m so ready for Criston to go…
Me too 😠
Almost every main character will go by the end of the show.
Trust me, his fate will be very satisfying.
I agree crispy gots to go
Don't search about his death you will good
For anyone wondering why Rhaenys didn’t kill them with fire, she’s not a kin slayer. No one wants that name and the war still hasn’t gotten to the point of kin slaying. People on both sides still want peace. This will change of course but right now it hasn’t reached that point yet. The war will be fought with ravens first, then dragons
Yeah and i feel like Rhaenys didn’t want to burn Alicent and her children and she knows the pain of that since she lost two of her children with fire and let alone the fact that Rhaenys didn’t have a reason to kill them so far. I feel like what she did is basically saying we can stop this without bloodshed and the war didn’t even start
Not only kinslayer. She'd also be a Kingslayer, one of the biggest crimes of Westeros. She'd essentially doom Rhaenyra's claim, the equivalent of a second Maegor the Cruel.
King ? What King ? I see no king.
Yea, a lot of people don’t seem to get that kinslaying is the worst crime someone can commit in Westeros, and regicide kinslaying is the worst kind lol. She would essentially be (to use a phrase from our world) dooming herself to eternal damnation in hell.
@@TheThanatoros kin not king. most of them there are targaryans
I have to step in as a book reader: Rhaenys would not have taken them all out because they are her kin and kinslayers are considered accursed in Westeros. It's the worst thing a person can do and none of these characters want to actively murder their own family at this stage....that will change eventually.
Except Larys apparently
The Greens were literally plotting to kill Rhaenara (spelling) and her kids to solidify Argon’s claim to the throne. Also, this scene is not in the books, showrunners added it and didn’t think it through. Also, where the hell did she magically get her armor? Also, she was being retained by the queen… did the guards guarding her dragon not question it and just let her pass?? And what’s the distance to where her dragon was? She was shown at the ceremony which wasn’t that long
@@SE-gs6gd but he's knowingly despicable and does everthing so it looks like an accident.
@@dingo7564 the ceremony was AT the dragon pit arena. She was literally right there. I also wondered where she wouldve gotten her armor but we can assume that it is kept near the dragons in case the need to leave suddenly arises. And the dragons are not chained. If she called to her dragon no one was stopping her from getting to it once there. You can be mad. But that was a great moment and it makes sense that she would feel remorse over killing everyone. Also EVERYONE (the people) would know she was not just a kinslayer but a kingslayer. She said "my house's word is not fickle". Appearances matter for their power in the kingdom. It would not be honorable and they would become untrustworthy and they trade internationally. So while we're all wanting her to kill them all, she's being a leader of her people and thinking ahead.
18:29 No achara. the one blown up by cercei was the sept of baelor. That’s the dragon pit
It will be blown by rhynarya's dragon 😅
I think the feet thing is a creepy power move on Larys's part.. he's manipulating her to take part in something degrading, to show that he can make her do what he wants. its likely been going on for a while and represents another manipulation prison she needs to escape. you can see her disgust.. and also a subtle expression on her face while its happening that she does not want it to continue.. and that she will be figuring out how to get out of that arrangement
It's unfortunate that every time Alicent wants to do something good or have someone on her side, it's just another opportunity for someone to use her.
She puts herself in that position to be honest by buying into the idea that her father put forward that the realm would not accept Rhaenyra as queen all those years ago and by getting convinced that her childhood friend would murder her kids. She's perpetuating the system that oppresses her and gets mad at people like Rhaenyra who don't respect certain rules of that society rather than getting mad at the way the system is set up.
She is not innocent girl, lmao. She brought that on herself.
yet she told larrys to go kill the white worm. and has not made him or criston cole answer for their crimes. she is not a victim
yeah even larys was using her to see her grippers
@@jonnysons She would have avoided this by saying no to marry the king and she would not be burden with any duity so everything which is happening to her it's her choice.....but Rhaenyra was born as a first child she didn't choose that
It was for Rhaenyra to exact revenge, not Rhaenys. She also recognized that she had that power and didn't act on it just to flex haha!
Her doing that is the equivalent of letting a villain get a power up
@@KelpyG. like Batman letting Joker escape all the time...

@@KelpyG. "Villain". There is no real villain in this show. One side has a Princess who constantly lies, has whored, created bastard children, and plotted to kill her own husband to be with her Uncle(The guy that her father specifically did not want to be on the throne). The other side has a father who used his daughter as a puppet to usurp the throne for his own bloodline. Buuuttt, both sides have one thing in common. They both unintentionally/intentionally plotted to kill a lord/potential lord.
By “flexing”, she just killed so many people crash landing her dragon to make a point. So many children won’t see their mothers and fathers do to this. Eventually, when she dies like in the book, I won’t care because I’ll remember this stupid moment
Helaena's additional prophecy is actually super important foreshadowing...
Which one? The beast beneath the boards or something else?

There was no one(people) innocent at that time. The same crowd loved to see 10 years kid fight life and death match. And the same crowd loved to see woman's tortured too. And other accepted it to happen as they wanted to live peacefully. So they are selfish, and these crown hungry people's are too. That's it. And as they cheered for Aegon , they made a treason to crown. And the Queen who never became one showed them also what is the punishment/price for treason against dragon rider's.
Do you know how much bribe the innocent guy must have taken , how many kids he might have killed. He might have been a good guy too. But I don't think They all will choose a good solider. There is most possibility that they might have choose a asshole to kill.

when people say the people that died don't mean anything, they are just the NPC's, then make a sad face when Aegon does something to the maid or see children fighting somehow they blame Aegon aren't they also NPCs? what Rhaenys did there shows that although she was the rightful heir Viserys was a better choice. She just did something worse than anything ever done in the series so far she murdered hundreds and felt nothing.
Finally, someone with brain cells
Rhaenys may be The Queen Who Never Was, but don't forget, she's still a Targaryen by blood
She has the temperament of a good ruler. Like even Alicent points out, relunctance to murder is not a character flaw.
But she killed hundreds by crash landing her dragon 🤷♂️ She killed so many mothers and fathers
matchy matchyyyyyy ayo
Idk. I feel bad for Alicent. The men in her life continually let her down. She still cares for Rhaenyra but she should've let her know her dad died. She knew how close they were
yet she told larrys to go kill the white worm. and has not made him or criston cole answer for their crimes. she is not a victim. she chooses to be a prisoner with a window. she could have had her sons bend to rheanyra but she didnt. she also refused the marriage proposal.
GRRM emphasizes that in the game of thrones, the small folk suffer
It was still silly though. George wouldn't write a scene like that haha
You mean just like the real world?
This episode made me respect Alicent so much more - can't wait to see what happens next! 🙌
I think that the beast beneath the board is Aegon. Helaena said it shortly after Otto and Alicent asked her where he was. And he was found hidden under kind of a board. What we learned about him in this and the last episode is that he's a cruel and vile person. And what I find intresting is that during the coronation Helaena looked away from Aegon.
I definitely think that there's two interpretations, yours and also the beast beneath the boards is Meraxes coming up from under the "floor boards". They really should start listening to her
When Aegon asked "Do you love me?" I think Allicent DID say "You imbocile".
She was pretty much calling Aegon an idiot for even asking the question. Of course she loves him.
She shielded him against a FUCKING DRAGON... Alicent has my respect forever

Gotta say tho I really liked Alicent throughout the series, even when she though end was close she stood in front of her sons to protect them.
Mother and wife till the end
Targaryens- we have dragons
Larys- i have queens feet
18:36 this is not the sept Baelor as Baelor the blessed hadn’t been born yet . This is the dragon pit, which was seen in GOT seasons 6 and 7 as a ruin .
agone is targarian so dragon fire would not have killed him. alicent and his family would have died.
Rhaenys was the only person I was supporting from a moral perspective and now they just have her happily kill a few people just to flex
It's hard to morally root for anyone in these show except helaena and jace
Lol you think you can morally support any major character in here?
Morality doesn't keep a kingdom intact.
If Daemon or Aemond did so, it’s within their characters. Rhaenys was not the character to do this. And if she didn’t think as much of killing a hundred people, she should of just killed the Greens who committed treason. And even the fans know that by letting them live will lead to her death, like in the books
@@dingo7564 Apparently, you thought something of her she is not.
I think Larys gets off on seeing Alicent's feet/legs as his is deformed and in his mind it's something nobody else gets to see, creepy as hell but I guess it's a small sacrifice for her to gather info she wouldn't ordinarily gain and by the way she automatically did it, it definitely wasn't the first time!
I also think Aemond is one of the best characters in the show, I see him as the Dark Side Daemon, As for the beast beneath the boards prophecy, I don't think it was referring to Rhaenys's dragon (as it burst through the stone floor of the keep!) rather something more cryptic like the White Worm's spies as they're deployed everywhere within King's Landing relaying info that shouldn't be common knowledge which in turn could be dangerous and something to "beware".
that's the comment! 100% agreed entirely , also unfortunately i really think the other way to take it , the more sinister meaning to beast beneath the boards is blood and cheese.

4:40 She already did. Did you miss the scene where she lit the candles in the window?
6:40 No.
9:23 Achara is correct.
18:28 Nope, this is the dragonpit, not the sept. And the Sept of Baelor hasn't even been built yet.
29:36 I'm guessing you missed that Larys sent someone to burn down her house and kill her.
That was more towards other reactors. As they tend to have bright lights aimed at their faces.
Really? Blurring a hanged man? Is that too gory for ur viewers? Snowflakes everywhere.
Notice Alicent stood in front of Aegon, but where was Christan Cole to stand in front of Alicent...not a very good protector in my opinion.
I think Rhaenys didn't kill Alicent and Aegon because she didn't feel it was her kill and that it would be more appropriate that Princess Rhaenyra's kill, because they took her rightful place to the throne. Rhaenys just casted a warning, that this means war.
I think people have missed that, the people who were closing the gate had a golden cloak and they mentioned that in the beginning of the episode those were daemon's people
Why would Rhaneys kill Alicent and her family? What in her eyes made that ok?Plus she has lost family of her own and it wasn't her place.
Kinslaying is never ok for Westerosi people.
The way Rhaenys could have just ended it all right there!!
She didn't want to kill a whole family after loosing children of her own plus it is not her place to be a king slayer.
Kin Slayer is one of the worst thing to be called in this world, it hasn’t gotten to that point in the war yet. It will soon though

Rhaenyss the true queen 👸♠️👸 🔥🔥🔥
I agree! You know what I thought about this. The Queen announcement is technically wrong! Rheanery is the real Heir. She was formally announced by a many witness and not just one witness after the dying King. That's clearly treason and the one who's been killed by Sir Criston is right. In my personal point of view, the wrong side is in the Hand and the Queen. The rightful heir Rheanery is still technically what's suppose to be in the Iron Throne.
That's the Dragon Pit where Aegon is coronated.
The Sept of Baelor which Cersei blew up isn't even built yet as Baelor isn't born for like another several decades
I don't know if im right about my theory, but I think that also showed huge symbolism with the dragon roar. When Alicent went to talk to Rhaenys earlier in the episode to try and convince her to join their side. As she left, she said "ring the bell when you've made your decision". Besides her entrance, I think that dragon roar was a warning shot but also a symbolism of her "ringing the bell" and saying ive made my decision. I could be looking too deeply into it tho
Idk about you guys saying Rhaenys would've been a good queen. She did murder like 300 people for nothing.
Rhaenys might have been tempted to destroy the Hightowers, but Alicent's children are her blood family. I think that's why she showed mercy.
if you pay close attention to her, she was fighting so hard to stop herself from uttering THE WORD.
Yeah, both factions initially fought with ravens because they wanted to avoid conflict until someone did the unthinkable and that lead to blood vendettas and the war.
yep. Targeryen way is always family and blood comes first. And given that Alicent chose to put Aegon as a Targaryen on the throne which I think would have been the opposite if Otto got hold of Aegon first. Killing your own, especially the blood of your brother cousin a trueborn Targaryen, she would never do it. The shout by Meleys was a warning, a show of disapproval. The way they named him Aegon king without a word of the Viserys' death to her heir and own child.
Stupid move, she could save so many people by burning them.
@@likagrom6953 Well, it happened like this. What can be do about it now? By your logic the show would end in season 1 because the opposition would be dead. Do you want to watch more or it should have ended your way?
This is not the same place that got blown up by Cersei, this is the dragon pit, and Cersei blew up the sept of baelor. Baelor is Rhaenyra's grandson, so the sept doesnt't even exist yet hehe
The Coronation was held in the Dragon pit here the previous big Sept stood first but was burned to the ground and replaced by the dragon pit by Maegor The Cruel The second son of Aegon I. The Sept of Baelor the one cersei blows up isn't build yet.
But they also show a Sept right? From where they get Aegon II?
@@ayanchoudhury6697 yes that’s just a smaller sept idk that one probably will be replaced with the sept of Baelor
Rhaenys Targaryen sent a message to the Hightowers: "This is a Targaryen thing. Welcome to our family war"
No issue with the brightness at all it looked perfect.
I was blown away by the details in the coronation. It felt like watching Nicholas II being crowned in an Orthodox ceremony with all the hollow pomp & circumstance of a rotting system. It's what I'd always envisioned from a GoT coronation. Tom Glynn-Carney was terrific in bringing out Aegon's fear, hesitation, pride & euphoria all at once. I'm glad they kept much despised Criston putting the Conqueror's crown on Aegon II's head. The Kingmaker is born! What this show's doing well is the details, down to locking up servants. Usually the passionate debates, the sense of treachery, the heartbreak are glossed over & we only see the regime change as a "fait accompli". This brings to life the mechanism that historically goes behind a coup, which I assume is as emotionally taxing for the people seizing power. That's why I like agonized & conflicted Alicent more than her steadfast source counterpart. It's more flesh & blood. She vacillates but her messianic fear for her children fates her to make a cursed gamble.
*Jokes aside, Tfw u support our Green Lives Matter King for the extermination of Strong Boys cause ur pro Valeryian blood supremacy.*

Also, the "beast beneath the boards" Helaena speaks of I don't believe is in this season, if you're familiar with the source material
I freaking LOVE Meleys. Known as the Red Queen for her scales and the crown of bones that frame her head. If you think Rhaenys is badass now oh ho JUST WAIT.
Rhaenys could’ve ended it all with one “Dracarys” 🥴💀
She’s not a kin slayer though. No one wants to be known as a kin slayer in this world, it’s a horrible name to be remembered as. The war hasn’t gotten to that part yet. People on both sides still want peace at this moment in time. That will change soon though
The Dance of the Dragons did not start until a certain person got killed by another person from the same family. They first started fighting the dance of the Dragons with ravens and with promises to not murder each other....that eventually failed. I don't think Rhaenys wanted to be a kinslayer in any case.
I have been thinking the same thing, Danaerys smoked the whole KL with one 7 year old dragon and the Blacks have at least 4 massive nukes double the size, if they do a surprise attack and catch them off guard they win this easy. The Greens won’t have the time to retaliate or get their own dragons from the dragon pit. There will be some casualties and a need for massive reconstruction of the Red Keep but it’s totally worth it.
@@Regenmacher175 The dance of Dragons was always going to have started with Aemond. He didn't play the game and wanted to take things by force.
@@rishabhaniket1952 Except the greens have Vhagar and at least in the eyes of many lords of Westeros and a lot of the population they are considdered to be legitimate rulers. So just torching everything will not achieve what you think it will do. If Aemond didn't have Vhaegar then maybe but the greens can retaliate just as easily at this stage and currently none of the Targaryens want to kill members of their own family as far as we know because in the eyes of the Westerosi killing your own kin means you're the worst kind of scumbag.
Rhaenys was pretty much making a statement, she is not entirely on Rhaenerya's side, there are things about Rhaenerya she disagrees with.
But Allicent and her father have made up a lie to install Aegon as King, she knows Viserys never changed his mind about Rhaenerya being Queen, and although she doesn't entirely like Rhaenerya, she still respects her cousins wishes.
Btw, Rhaenys' dragon, Meleys, is known as the Red Queen and her previous rider was Alyssa Targaryen, the mother of Viserys and Daemon.
The only statement I saw her making was that viserys was always a better candidate Lol. The woman murdered hundreds and felt nothing. She's honestly worse than Aegon she's also a grown woman, she knew she wasn't going kill the greens she did that for a boss lady moment.
What an episode 🔥 Rhaenys is such a badass. Who could've thought Larys gives us Quentin Tarantino vibes? And what are your thoughts when the twins dragged Aegon out from his hiding spot relating to Helaena's quote 'Beware the beast beneath the boards'? 💭💭💭
I thought she meant the dragon 🐲
l suspect Larys his #foot #fetish is a coping mechanism tied to his foot disability/trauma. I surmise that the same thing that was used to overlook & ostracise him (feet) is the same thing he is now actively perverting. It's perhaps his weird way of balancing the scales by bringing the most powerful women's feet down to his feet's level of respect/disrespect/treatment/objectification. His feet were used to cause him #pain and made him look #weak, now subconsciously/consciously, he is trying to reverse his pain impulse by repurposing feet as something that GIVES him #pleasure and #power instead of #trauma...
The psychology is perhaps that if the queen's feet mean nothing to him but a cheep thrill then surely his own disabled legs aren't less than anyone else's... It's a taking of his Ego's "power" back by perverting another Ego's dignity (like was done to him), thus bringing everyone to his level.
Otto Hightower wants more power. Wow nice rhyming Achara
"The beast under the boards"
Many think this moment is meant here. Rhaenys and her dragon break through the boards. I think that's distraction. I think this statement refers to the new king, her brother directly. She knows Aegon very well and knows how he really is and tries to warn everyone. Behind the façade, he is the beast.
I don't understand the logic in the end. Raehny could have ended this on the spot in the end. All of them burn and that would have been it. However, if she agrees with Alicent's suggestion, she would not have had to show up with her dragon. So either I show up there and kill them all or I leave it through the other exit intended for dragons. As a threat, this move is also not suitable. Why? To end it later when it gets harder?
Of course, she would have become a king-killer at that moment and would have lost the common people to it. But as I said, then I don't even show up there and kill the common people. Completely pointless author decision and also not to be found in the book. I think they just wanted to bring action into a quiet, dialogue-heavy episode that wouldn't have been necessary. Again at the expense of sense and understanding.
Middle finger Strong, if he turns off the white worm, would of course also have the power over all the spies that the white worm leaves behind.
If it was Daemon on that dragon the greens would be dead dead. Like dead to the dead. Like dead times 100. Also can't these people get a clue that Aegon doesn't want to be King? & his reign begins in war...yeah. Get the feeling he's gonna be miserable as King. Difficult not to be with a grandfather controlling your every move and a brother plotting to steal your throne. Imagine Aegon was so close to getting away before his brother dragged him back. If I was Aemond I'd help him leave on a ship and wave until the boat couldn't be seen anymore...then I'd go back and say Aegon couldn't be found then point out one of the King's male heirs need to be on the throne so I'm your last option.
I like achara i really do but her thing is defending the negative can let you to a cliff and push you like a breeze when you know it you will be in a dark place
Not the cradle trades for another, means that a son would be trade for another, is a foreshadowing the next episode and the stupidity that Aemond would do, child for a child.
Not even that the king has left us, or the king passed away, we just say the king is dead
“aemond is such a badass” dude I felt that
It is that the nurturing matters. Alicent doesnt have the thought to become queen as her family has always been the ones who plays this game. Politics is their foray and they never think that they could lead. Where as Rhaenys is from the family of rulers. It is in her blood to lead
Firstly kudos to past me for catching last week's easter egg #prophecy of "BEWARE THE BEAST BENEATH THE BOARDS"😂 Shout out to Helaena, she seems like the audience's 4th wall breaking guide constantly hinting at what is to come. I'm paying close attention🧐 to EVERYTHING she says and does now lol.
In this week's #prophecy/criptic message she said (as she embroidered a #beetle 🕷 on some cloth),
"It is our fate l think, to crave always what is given to another. IF ONE POSSESS A THING(birthright?throne?power?) THE OTHER WILL TAKE IT AWAY."
This one is quite vague because "the other" can be anyone. Perhaps she is hinting at some future backstabbing coming between the Targaryen brothers because Aemond was looking power hungry and thirsty for his brother's crown.
Sidenote: When Helaena was asked who took Aegon, she dropped her head down and stared intently at the beetle 🕷 symbol she was embroidering, the same beetle symbol l think we see later carved on the walking stick of Lord Larys (that creepy handicapped foot fetish dude subscribed to the queen's feet onlyfans🤣). Could he be the #metaphorical "#beast🍆 beneath the boards" or was the Dragon the #literal #beast beneath their symposium(board)? Or perhaps both?
I wonder what this new information entails.🤔
even she decided to side with Rhaneyra, Rhaenys kinda had a connection with Alicent earlier, and under the circumstance, she wouldn't kill a mother wanna protected her son.
I LOVED that Rhaenys has sympathy and understand Alicent 🥲
Wouldn’t kill a mother??… how many mothers do you think she killed when she crash landed her dragon? Go back and watch. Many kids won’t see their parents again. Show runners added this on as its not on the book but really didn’t think it through. Just wanted a badass moment. First glaring hiccup I’ve noticed in HOTD
@@dingo7564 some people just wanna be mad... its a show.
@@breebree9319 But she must not be praised for killing all those people by saying she's a badass. while Aegon gets hated for abusing women we praise another for killing hundreds of people for nothing.
The place where Aegon’s coronation commences in this episode is not the same Sept (temple) that Cersei blows up in the Game of Thrones.
This place is Dragonpit where the Targaryens keep their Dragons until this Dragonpit is later destroyed
kill count black: 70-100+Rhea
kill count green: 3 (Larys 2 )
thats why Aegon should be the king 💚💚💚
No one’s innocent in the game of thrones 😈
Something I thought up after watching a couple of reactions, it's implied that Alicent had Larys get rid of the spy "issue" by burning down Mysarias house and presumably killing her. But I think this was actually Otto's wish, when Larys tells him about meeting the Queen often and how there's no need for the meetings to not benefit Otto. Otto probably did not like the fact that Mysaria has something over him. I am not fully sure why Otto would want Alicent to think she did but I guess we'll see if it's actually true.
People talk about the dark lighting and being hard to see but I genuinely dont have any issues with it on my tv at all. That Dolby Vision 4k tv is the best birthday gift I could've got myself
Rhaenys was probably very tempted to kill the Greens, but couldn't bring herself to kill so many relatives - hence the dragon roaring but not breathing fire?
You have to remember, during this time being a “kinslayer” (yes I said kin) was VERY taboo, not only that but had she have killed the king she would’ve been a kinslayer and a kingslayer and they would’ve moved the earth itself to find her. Nowhere would’ve been safe.
7:22 I understand what Aemond is saying but he's incorrect, he's either second or third in line currently. His nephew is next in line.
I think he knows exactly where he is but the implication is that he thinks that the kids are expendable....
aemond would do what he needed to become queen and if he did it the less violent wa he would marry his sister and nullify the childrens claims
I think it’s iffy to say that Alicent is justified in thinking she has a mandate from Viserys to make Aegon king.
He had the entire family at the dinner only a while before. If he’d wanted to supplant Rhaenyra with Aegon, he could have said it then. He also didn’t correct Alicent when she gave her toast and said Rhaenyra would make a fine queen. That would have been the perfect moment for Viserys to say, “You know, actually, I’ve had second thoughts about that.”
Alicent has also been tending to Viserys for years with him in this condition and I’m sure that night wasn’t the first night he rambled. She also knows that every other Targaryen male is named Aegon!
So, her justification is a slim thread, at best. She basically just heard what she wanted to hear so she would not feel guilty.
you got it perfectly. she just needed an excuse to convince herself
@@adedayooyegunju828 I don't think it is malicious though. Alicent really wants things to work out without violence and her father got in her head that if Rhaenyra becomes Queen her family will be put to the sword.
I mean that's a dumb logic. That's like saying, well if the king wanted to say the Rheanerya will be the one to unite the realm why didn't he do so in the dinner just a while before. I think it's 100% justified especially when they are a king's dying words.
@@timothyranck you know she can want her son to be king and still hope that their is no bloodshed.
If ever there was an action that would bring supporters away from Rhaenyra and into Hightower camp, it would be princess rhaenys killing an entire section of innocent bystanders with a dragon during Aegon's coronation. Then, she follows THAT stupid action with another. She doesn't kill the crown's usurpers when she has the clear advantage of power on her dragon.
Not sure what the writers were hoping to accomplish with this scene but if they wanted to make Team Green's position more strong with the people then they certainly achieved that.
thank you. finally, someone gets it, everyone is busy saying she's a badass.
Well Rhaneys didn't kill them because of Alicent
The conversation they had earlier where Alicent shown her honesty and loyalty to the princess got her in the soft spot
Had Alicent not been there she wouldn't have a second thought of killing the rest of them
No audio. Is this for deaf people?
I feel like the writing with Alicent was a bit inconsistent in this episode tbh. I love what they're doing to her character and fleshing her out more than in the books, but saying she had no idea, neither expected her father and the other men backing Aegon to become king? Really? Just in episode 6 she was the one hammering into his mind Rhaenyra was gonna kill him and that "everyone knew in their bones" Aegon was gonna become king. Then episode after episode we see her reprimand his actions for this exact same reason. I understand she may have backed down after the dinner and considering letting Rhaenyra rule for a brief moment, but come on. The moving pieces were all there already, the biggest one being her father whom she wanted by her side because he would back the Targ- Hightower side of the family
Facts that was weird af. She told Aegon he would be king in episode when Aegon was beating his meat out the window. Now all of a sudden she doesn't know about the plot to put Aegon on the throne??
She wanted him to be King. She was unaware the small council had been plotting behind her back to make it so by doing violent things. That’s consistent for Alicent. Just like with Larys and his brother and father - lying to herself about the violence certain wishes can entail depending on who fulfills them.
she wanted him to be king but didnt know abt the whole violent ploting part
Rhaenys is a mother that lost both her son and daughter. She knows how it feels if she burn Aegon Alicent and anyone in that spot 😊 she spared them but still goes to Rhaenyra cuz she knows what Viserys really wants for the kingdom.
Bro killed his family for feet
Ramin Djawadi you beauty
No audio folks :( cant hear you
The Beast beneath the boards meant that if no one takes out Rhaenys when the had the chance the greens plans of killing the Targaryen cuz Meleys aka The Red Queen was going to frack their who sneak attack plan up. Also it can symbolize the beast that is Daemon he’s been chilling this whole time. For ten years while married to Laena Daemon has been studying any and everything TARGARYEN. They don’t want these unleashed Daemon and Caraxes problems.
The beast beneath the boards isn’t a referral to the dragon. It’s a reference to a person.
Correct, though it does NOT refer to Aegon which I see some people posting online.
I still don't understand how cristen cole was still in the kingsuard after murdering joffery(Laenor's lover),not listening to the king when he told him to stop(during dinner when the children were fighting),killing beesbury?!!?
