A long long long ago, I said ABBA should have released a Christmas Album, their voices and harmonies are just perfect for Christmas music. Well, at least we have one.
What I particularly like, is that they did not write the Christmas Song from the perspective of children, but from the perspective of parents now. ABBA are adults now, have children ... just like me. I can empathize with this feeling so well. Wake up on Christmas morning, lying in bed, children screaming and playing in the living room,... Times have changed, but Christmas feelings remain. Brilliant!
Good point regarding the perspective. I don't really like Christmas songs but when this song ended with the choir singing "It could be a song that my grandma sings", I teared up a little because for me, the grandmas referred to Agnetha and Frida. It was probably not meant exclusively that way but it's still one of those magical things that ABBA gets right so often: Finding a way to connect to the one who hears their music.
Frida’s warm vocal is perfectly suited to this track… giving me callbacks to I Have a Dream and Like an Angel Passing Through My Room in terms of the whimsical, childlike composition.
I love Christmas, but I'm actually so tired of it being more and more overloaded for every year. For me this is the perfect Christmas song, talking about what's really important in life. (And no, they've never produced anything bad. :-) )
it such a shame that so many people dont or wont carry the feelings and appreciate the little things we cherish at christmas and the holidays throughout the entire year. ABBA reminds us all that we should have joy. peace and love ALWAYS!! god bless you ABBA for brightening up all our lives!!

Look at me, a metalhead all my life. I cried like a little child the first time I heard this song. Melody and lyrics are beautiful and very toutching. Maybe my favourite one on this album.
It’s a perfectly understandable response. This release album is a very emotional thing for many, many people around the world, and I too have been emotionally affected far more than I ever expected that I would.
So so poignant and beautiful...But the fact this will be their last album and last Christmas song breaks my heart...I can't bear the thought of losing them all over again but at least they came back to us...." Like an Angel Passing through my room..." Love you always Abba and thank you for the music...🥰
How thrilling and what an honor for the children in this choir to look back on in the years ahead and know that they had a small part in what is arguably one of the best pop groups of all time's last album. They can't possibly comprehend what that means at this stage of their lives but I'll bet their parents can. How proud they must be!!

This song goes far beyond the Christmas spirit, deep into the essential parts of humanity.

Dude...these new ABBA songs all make me cry., every composition is Special, from the music to the Lyrics, they all have a wonderful message...and watching your reactions...makes me tear up as well...WTF...a grown man..crying to ABBA....it's all true
ABBA are making the world cry. Very bittersweet. I hate the words last and goodbye, but as we all know this is the last album. I've been in tears far too much today, but it's so good to have this album. One thing I do hope is that they'll bring out an album of the re-recorded classic songs of the ABBATAR show, so we can be joyful and have a good dance once again!
This has been described by many as TWEE - excessively or affectedly quaint, pretty, or sentimental. Isn't that what Christmas is all about these days? Look at all the Christmas FILMS on TV. I cannot recall seeing one which was not "twee"! So I reckon that is a back-handed compliment! Well done again ABBA.
Soooo great 🥰😍🥰 But would you like to know the saddest thing about Voyage? The last song "Ode to freedom". It is the last song on the Album. It is the last song of Abba to say goodbye and make peace with it. Peace with Abba. Now, in this case, you have to hear "Ode to freedom" and think about my words, that this is the last song ever. Goodbye Abba and thanks for everything and beeing part of my life. Lets treat this unbelievable treasure with care and love 🥰🥰🥰
I can see that in the song Ode To freedom song too, but remember the over arching theme is that freedom is undefinable by it's nature it cannot be an end or a beginning it means everything. Maybe it means being free to finish but it could also mean being free to make another 10 albums. It just means they can do whatever they want to forever. :-)
These angelic voices keep making me speechless. I've been listening to Abba songs since I was a child, but why do I always cry when I hear the songs on the Voyage album? 🤷🏼♂️. I just dont know...🥰
I was slightly surprised when Benny's Red Cross Ringtone features at the end, shortly afterwards becoming Godnattvisa with BAO. Lots of piano on this album which was, sadly, quite rare on Visitors.

You have a huge heart, my friend... awesome. Many people I have seen have thought this song the weakest link on the album, finding it too sugary. I think it has one of those beautifully simple yet clever Benny melody lines (as you can hear in the piano introduction), and the light touch on the arrangement is just amazing. And I also really love the way this song moves into Don't Shut me Down on the album. Cheers, Given Toe. See you in the second half!

In our busy lives throughout each year, it seems that only the Christmas season brings us closer and back to those times of naivety, innocence, and sweet childhood dreams. Just beuatiful!!
Such a nice piano intro. Frida in lead vocal, supported by Agnetha I think. The lyrics are lovely and the music is great. I don't much care for the children's choir, but at least it's a short section. I hope for a Christmas number 1 for Abba (never had one here in UK). Can they do it? Do they have it in them?

I don't think that there's enough words to describe the deep feeling this song gives. And as for your question no. Abba never has produced anything bad. For the record, the Children's Choir in this song is the International School of Stockholm Choir, and this song wasn't the first one in which they used this school choir. They used it a long time ago back in 1979 on their song "I Have a Dream". Of course, the children singing on "I Have a Dream" are all now Adults. Maybe some the current chorus children are their children or grandchildren, who knows? :) I so love how Frida and Agnetha's voices are still in top shape. They still sound great even after 40 years. The talent Benny and Bjorn have at songwriting is truly amazing. This is real music, real lyrics full of feeling, which is something we need so much lately seeing how the music has changed lyricwise and arragementwise. This album will become a real treasure. Abba achieved something that not many artists from 60s and 70s can achieve. And even more after being separated during 4 decades. That old and new generations can enjoy brand new songs from them and that new generations can see how even now, the music can be of such high quality and a success without the need of using bad words on the lyrics, nor having to use lyrics that hardly would make sense. Abba definitively showed us how is done. They took a challenge and they gave it their all in it. They put all their heart in this album and all was for their fans :)

When I was hear this song first time on 2021 I must be cry too👍👍👍 wonderful song of abba 👍👍
Such a wonderfully nostalgic song of Christmas!
Crying! This makes me cry too and honestly I sing this song all the days (and not because it' s Advent time) this is absolutely beautiful melody and amazing voices. Congrats ABBA ! And very nice reaction video too :-) thank you
Heaps of tissues :)
In our busy lives throughout each year, it seems that only the Christmas season brings us closer and back to those times of naivety, innocence, and sweet childhood dreams. Just beuatiful!!
Just found on you tube a video called Red Christmas from 2005,it is a shorter version of Little things,an instrumental version.
He's getting emotional, again 🤗
Such a nice piano intro. Frida in lead vocal, supported by Agnetha I think. The lyrics are lovely and the music is great. I don't much care for the children's choir, but at least it's a short section. I hope for a Christmas number 1 for Abba (never had one here in UK). Can they do it? Do they have it in them?
It's their Christmas song.
Simply perfect ❤
I hope this track will be release as Christmas chart single on December. I am expecting this to be Christmas No. 1 single.
Hope so! 😁
@@GivenToe It is sooooo! Abba just announced Little Things will release on Dec 3rd, so exciting! Check out their new single cover on their Instagram. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you so much 🙏🏻❤️
@@GivenToe I owe it all to my mom for showing me the then cd ABBA Gold. It was not much after I got the 4 CD set Thank You for the Music. I was young and obsessed ❤️
I so love how Frida and Agnetha's voices are still in top shape.
Love song
God as other reactions, I love ABBA and I love you and youre reactions 🤩
