Hey JT!! Loved it. You’re right, I actually saw Mikey‘s video a couple of weeks ago when you pulled up to him. Too funny. Headwaters seems like a fisherman’s dream, I know it is. We don’t have monster largemouth up here on Lake Lanier, but the stripers are starting to move shallow and mixing with the spots! Plus that striper night time bomber bite starting to heat up! Gotta say that’s a heck of a trip... Loved that topwater action. That lake is the real deal as I have fished it 3 times since it opened. Still trying to boat a 10 lb bass, I have gotten within 8 ounces tho... That grass is so good to see and fish, pretty much a memory on the Big O to fish grass and it sucks. I also noticed that the bass had changed since August. Loved the video....
The problem with this body of water is that it spoils you. Everywhere you fish after fishing there a day is going to seem like it sucks. I fished there 3 years ago in a kayak and had an epic day. Then I fished Garcia the very next day and had a good day for Garcia and it still sucked. Damn that place for being so awesome. Like catching fish in a barrel.

Literally the whole lake is good. Best advice is keep moving till you start catching then slow down and really work the area. They school up here.

What makes them bite topwater all day like that? I don't seem to get bit on topwater after the sun comes up. Is that just a fishing theory that they won't hit topwater as much when the sun is out?

JT. Looking to come over to Headwaters lake and just wanted to know about parking. It’s a 2 1/2 drive for me so, so I’m wondering what the parking situation is like during the mid week? Don’t want to get their and find the lot full. Can you give me a number to call or you’re personal opinion on when would be the best time to come.
