I own Lalique Encre Noir Sport and this review really has me thinking about getting Encre Noir, I'm sorry to hear that you didn't like Lalique Pour Homme, I own a full 4.2 Oz bottle of EDT and liked it so much that I bought 2 full bottles of EDP since they're on clearance and I'm afraid there will be no more😂 It smells so manly and clean for me that I'm gonna wear it a lot this summer.
Nice choices with classic true masculine scents and Encre Noire ! You should do a review from that Bijan , I really appreciate you mention the forgotten powerhouses of the 80s . Speaking of which . I just bought un Homme by Charles Jourdan one of the first fougéres , wasn’t cheap but can’t wait to spray it haha ! Good top 10 , bro 😎
Thanks for your excellent reviews. My recommendation for the colder weather is L' Anarchiste by Caron. Dry, woody, spicy, musky, with an unusual minty menthol note. It's a very distinctive fragrance, nothing else like it. Wonderful.
Any list with flagship Aramis (or Devin or 900) and PS by Paul Sebastian gets my endorsement. My favorite description of Aramis comes from an old TV ad: “for the established man.” Some of the lighter, sportier scents are my favorites for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice climbing, and other winter activities: Denim original, Clinique Chemistry, even Old Spice Pure Sport.
Great video Kellan. I don’t have any of those but my go to winter scents, Muglar Pure Havane, Oud Wood TF, Tabac Rouge by Phaedon to name few. Could you do a top 10 Tobacco list? Cheers 🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed, any scent on this list is great for the cold if you pick any of them up. I could do a tobacco list I am not sure I could fit 10 in it but I can certainly pick my favorites
Some true classic powerhouse unapologetically masculine selections ideal for cold temps. None could even remotely be considered unisex. Just the way I like it. 👍🏻
I love Paul Sebastian, I was first introduced to it in 1995 as a senior in high school it was a gift from my Tia. I’m now 45 and have used it off and on throughout these years, different bottles of course. I was under the impression that this was a cold weather fragrance also until I went up to Flagstaff Arizona in December and it could not hold its weight in the cold air. Paul Sebastian is usually a strong fragrance and I couldn’t smell a damn thing. Kind of made me sad because I love the smell and wanted to stand out from the crowd. Nonetheless I still rock the shit out of this fragrance! Thanks Tia!
the only thing i love about winter in new york is that i can wear polo green all the time haha. most of the year i wear the same kinds of scents that you cover, but ill change it up a little in winter and throw some sweetness in the mix here and there. fahrenheit parfum, gucci envy, la nuit de lhomme, vintage burberry london, ect

Unfortunately I did not like Ted lapidus because everyone just used it at the time and I hate the bottle . On the other hand, my father’s friend brought the Bijan from America on the 80’s and I wanted it so badly. I remember being really jealous, tnx bro
That’s to bad about Lapidus but I can understand someone not liking it, the bottle is awesome though I think. Bijan is amazing too It’s perfect for the cold. Hope you are well Asaf!
For 17$ for that gift set you can’t beat it, it’s a great daily scent, I could see that money scent comparison actually lol thank you for watching and commenting dude !
here in your list, there are two fragrances although they are great colognes, they didn't go the way I wanted when I used them; the LAPIDUS POUR HOMME is a great and super powerful-strong fragrance, too much for me, although I love to smell it on somebody else, in my skin, this fragrance gets crazy and practically chocks everybody around me (including me), even though the scent is awesome and masculine but it gets too much for my taste; CIGAR(Remmy Latour) when I use it, has no projection, sillage and the longevity I can get is 1 hour, so it was a total waste of money; it's a real pity as I really like these two fragrances but on my skin, they work no exactly the way I like. ARAMIS for the contrary is the perfect one for me; it's one of the fragrances I have chosen as permanent (daily use and any occasion) along with YATAGAN, QUORUM, BOGART(signature), AGUA BRAVA and BRUMMEL, these 6 fragrances have turned to be the ones I've decided to keep and wear all the time. but if the money situation forces me to cut down, then I will keep ARAMIS(original), QUORUM and AGUA BRAVA as the ones that I will always wear and buy.
sorry to hear they did not work out for you, i love bogart and yatagan and i have more recently been enjoying my vintage quorum bottle and its matching aftershave. thank you for watching and commenting
Thanks for the support as always ! You know I tried it in a store once and I don’t really recall how it was, ive heard it’s got a thick sweetness so I’m not sure how I would feel about it, what do you think ?
Do you mean the newer on e from Aramis? It’s nice. It does have a sweetness to it, but it’s not a sweet fragrance if that makes sense. I have 18.21 Sweet Spirits Tobacco. That is sweet whereas Aramis TR has a fresh spiciness to it that takes away some of the sweetness, or balances it to pull it away from the sweet end of the spectrum. TR is a nice take on tobacco. Kellan-- great list you put together here sir.
I just got Aramis a few days ago, and the opening smells like Big Red cinnamon gum, then dries down to like a weaker version of Pinaud Clubman aftershave, very powdery. I got the same opening with Sung Homme. Maybe the Sung Homme, and Aramis I got were dud bottles. Definitely don't wanna smell like cinnamon gum and baby 🍼 powder.I mean I like those scents but not when I'm looking for a classic masculine cologne to wear.
Hey, in your opinion between paul sebastian and sung homme which has better performance and which has gotten you more compliments. Also when did you get Paul sebastian?
They both last a very long time, id pick sung Homme personally because I like the scent better. They both are great masculine scents. I got paul sensation about two and a half years ago
I've been passing off the Remy Latour Cigar for quite sometime now despite it being readily available in my city. I'll try to get it now. What's its longevity and how's the tobacco note in it? How long does tobacco last? Can it be worn year around?
It’s great I mentioned the performance is awesome, it’s so cheap and I think it’s best for cool months obviously, the tobacco is there but it’s not a super strong tobacco note since it has fruit mixed in, definitely pick this one up and let me know what you think
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Encre Noire Sport is an awesome scent too, it’s a more wearable scent compared to the other Encre Noires, citrusy at the top but still having that signature vetiver at the bottom. Cheap too! People love it on me.
I love encre noir original but I have not tried sport yet but I plan on buying it, price is great and I’m sure it’s a quality scent. Do you have it ? How is it
I have not come across anything like it, I blind bought it and I love it, look on eBay you can get them for like 35-40. I think it’s worth it the scent is awesome for cold weather and evening wear very masculine
Rewatching this and, yes, my takeaway is that Zino still sucks. Culling my collection and just giving away to my tenants and friends and family. I can't, in good conscience, give Zino and so threw it in the trash instead.
Kouros is much better first off but they both have very musky strong notes, share honey as a note but kouros is better quality and I would wear it all year round whereas Lapidus is best in the cold
Bijan Man doesn't have many fans. The guy opened a huge shop in Beverly Hills in the 80s and sold his overpriced clothes and perfumes to rich celebs. I'm not so sure of the pedigree.
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Thanks for the superfast reply. It’s great to find some cheaper old school fragrances. I’m still looking for a cheap, but good everyday fragrance. Giorgio Beverly Hills was suggested by many people, but it’s not for the summer at all. The patchouli is so strong, even with 2-3 sprays it lasts a really long time.

@@ScentsOfSouthJersey eBay is full of them 75$ - 85$ the Pensky version is the oldest but only comes in a splash
Love the list. I have all except Arabian Nights. I had to sell it because of that stank opening.
Arabian nights is definitely a polarizing scent for sure people either enjoy it or hate it lol. Thank you for watching and commenting dude
Nice work mate. Is Santos similar to anything else? I own Cuba , it’s great.
thank you for watching ! you know i cant think of any thing that is similar to Santos
What ever happened to 'Fleur du Male', by Jean Paul Gautier? It was fab and there's no trace of it anymore.
I’m pretty sure it was discontinued a while back, sadly
Still on ebay for a decent price
your video made me buy a remy latour cigar !
That’s awesome dude I hope you enjoy it ! Please keep me posted
I bought Cigar about three months ago. It's now my daily work fragrance. Call me crazy but the dry down kinda smells like money.
For 17$ for that gift set you can’t beat it, it’s a great daily scent, I could see that money scent comparison actually lol thank you for watching and commenting dude !
i completely agree that smells like money ! though it doesnt project well
Bro you gotta try CARON LE 3 HOMME DE CARON so good very vintage barbershop 👌 fragrance
I have a 5ml decant of it I got from mcbag and it’s really nice
I love it my uncle Pasquale weres it all the time my mothers brother definitely reminds of old-school guys from 18th Ave in Brooklyn
here in your list, there are two fragrances although they are great colognes, they didn't go the way I wanted when I used them; the LAPIDUS POUR HOMME is a great and super powerful-strong fragrance, too much for me, although I love to smell it on somebody else, in my skin, this fragrance gets crazy and practically chocks everybody around me (including me), even though the scent is awesome and masculine but it gets too much for my taste; CIGAR(Remmy Latour) when I use it, has no projection, sillage and the longevity I can get is 1 hour, so it was a total waste of money; it's a real pity as I really like these two fragrances but on my skin, they work no exactly the way I like.
Good list. Glad you did not do the review in the parka. :)
Great list, Kellan! Speaking of Aramis... what are your thoughts on Tobacco Reserve?
@@jean-luc6158 that’s good to know I am more interested in it now
@@jean-luc6158 Thanks for your insights... I will give it a try!
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Been looking at it a while but haven't tried it yet... was hoping maybe you had.
You can also go to eBay and get Aramis Concentree right now. Excellent!
i have not tired that one
I also love Arabian Nights. *brofist*
It’s awesome this is the best and only time of year to wear it lol
Man I love this channel lol. My kinda shit.
Haha glad to hear man ! Thank you for watching and commenting as always !
I got the whole Encre Noire line of fragrances and i must say The Al’Extreme version is much better than the original Encre Noire!
How is sport ? I was interested in that one
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Encre Noire Sport is an awesome scent too, it’s a more wearable scent compared to the other Encre Noires, citrusy at the top but still having that signature vetiver at the bottom. Cheap too! People love it on me.
Lapidus is my SOTD.
One of the greats !
i read somewhere that sylvester stallone used to wear bijan
Thats funny because I read that it was Arnold that wore this one lol a
Beard looking clean, is that your 5 o'clock shadow? Lol damn, my beard is patchy until like 3-4 weeks in lol
That was about 1 week I’d say, I’ll let it grow a little bit in the winter time but never really long
Would you still enjoy encre noire nowadays or have you moved on from it?
Have you tried other CIGAR fragrances?
I have not, just the original one I had in this video. Haven’t worn it much since then either lol.
still impatiently waiting for Guerlain Vetiver and Antaeus in the mail. Maybe today. I hope.
You’ll get them don’t worry lol
actually leaving now to hit the store, then post office on way back. take care.
Do a review of cartier de santos please edt ? 🙂
are these current formulations (as of the time of video) or vintage?
Cejar wood remy Latour We want to review it...... Please
Aramis to me says I don’t give a shite what you think. I am my own man. It’s something I could see Clint Eastwood wearing.
Haha it’s absolutely a bad ass strong AF scent that will assault people’s nose
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey I couldn’t have said it better 👍😂
@@snortchgortch4253 lol I was going to say I love ps fine cologne
Great review pal! What is your opinion on Lalique Encre noire sport??????
I love encre noir original but I have not tried sport yet but I plan on buying it, price is great and I’m sure it’s a quality scent. Do you have it ? How is it
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey It's good rather quite decent. It's probably good for 30+ people with some grey matter and I.Q😇
what do you think cartier santos is similar to? worth a blind buy?
I have not come across anything like it, I blind bought it and I love it, look on eBay you can get them for like 35-40. I think it’s worth it the scent is awesome for cold weather and evening wear very masculine
Rewatching this and, yes, my takeaway is that Zino still sucks. Culling my collection and just giving away to my tenants and friends and family. I can't, in good conscience, give Zino and so threw it in the trash instead.
P.S. Fine is just that, it is fine
So you are just so so on it? Or do you like it ?
I love it !
The dry-down of current Santos is all coconut cream to my nose. Pity because I like the opening.
It’s a decent scent I need to wear it more
What is Lapidus like in contrast of Kouros?
Kouros is much better first off but they both have very musky strong notes, share honey as a note but kouros is better quality and I would wear it all year round whereas Lapidus is best in the cold
I had a bottle of Bijan for about 15 bucks, but did not like it. Very strong(more than Kouros) and synthetic smell.
It is certainly very strong lol thank you for watching and commenting dude!
Etsy store - ELEMENTMASK has niche fragrances for $70
Good to know! Thank you for watching and commenting
Bijan Man doesn't have many fans. The guy opened a huge shop in Beverly Hills in the 80s and sold his overpriced clothes and perfumes to rich celebs. I'm not so sure of the pedigree.
It’s really strong and a good cheap scent
I have bijan man and the bottle looks the same. Is that bijan man or is there another called bijan pour homme?
3 years later you say Aramis is one of the worst & and it stinks
Yeah I wanted to like it since it is a classic but after 3 years of occasionally trying to enjoy it I never really did
@@ScentsOfSouthJersey Thanks for the superfast reply.
Sorry Kelan, i thought i was being funny. Love your stuff. Please delete after reading
I read it in the notifications but now it’s gone lol I found it funny ! Thanks dude
