I haven`t seen this comment before, so:
Put in some empty tubes in the wall, if you can spare some. My uncle moved into an old house and you cant imagine how many times some empty tubes came in handy, e.g. for laying new Internet cables or something else. So if you can spare some empty tubes inside the walls, put them in, who knows what kind of technology will come in the future that requires some cables to be laid.
P.S. your whole project is amazing and inspiring.
The biggest problem with these videos is they don't come too often! Bathroom looking great!
I've worked in a lab for 20+ years and that folded over tape is an absolute requirement. Who knew that science involved so much tape application and removal!
I love your attitude to this. Also, the bathroom looks great and modern, but the 9 days must be stressful. I assume that those 9 days have already passed, so I'm looking forward to know if you managed it :)
He is always so chipper!!!
🎉🎉
For applying silicone I would recommend that you get a set of fugi tools. It is so much easier than using a finger and avoids the need to mask on tiles (you would need to mask on porous surfaces).
Great job you two. I so much look forward to your updates. Your positivity and learned approach to life is really pleasant to see. Watching you both make a home together is such fun. I imagine you getting great pleasure from finally living in the home you constructed together. I look forward to seeing more. Bravo!
Using a paddle mixer when mixing grout causes it to set up way faster! Always mix big batches by hand...
Using a ball stylus instead of your finger to spread the silicone gives a perfect and uniform consistency..
Thanks for the entertainment! I like watching your progress.
Look at Modestrial Makers technique of using a cake decoration tool to apply silicone perfectly without any masking tapes..
@@mvadu Although he uses paste wax to make the excess pull off... thus the bead is also likely to pull off. Not an issue for Mike, as it's a mould and not a flexible, waterproof join.
Omg i freaking love led lights 😍😍, I'll put them for sure in some future projects on my channel🤩
I love the sounds of excitement you make when something works as you planned
Amazing work especially Vilda! (Apologies if I can’t spell!)
If you really like bathroom maintenance and descaling, black tiles is the way to go! 🤓😜🤣
..but great eye for details, a lot of work to get tiles set perfect 💪👌
I've been waiting for this. I'm excited to see what you do next. You're doing great so far and it's a great feeling stepping back and admiring your work. There's no better satisfaction. Good luck, stay safe and God bless you buddy.
You have an unbelievable amount of patience much respect !
Teamwork makes the dream work! It’s so fun to see you two working together 😊👍
Great update, tiny bathrooms really force you to be creative and utilize the space that's available - you've really done that! Looking forward to the updates!
We just bought our own house and watching this series has given me so much hope for all the DIY bits we'll be doing!
This is Heart Balm for me as an trainee architect. Knowing the pain of things not going as they should makes me just wanting to watch your videos of the appartment again and again! Keep going with this incredibly nice project!
Wow I can't believe Zlatin is now doing tile work! 😂
Great work man
that shelf light looks premium af
Great progress from Team Alda! That attention to detail on the scale and permanence of a bathroom is sweat inducing
It's really shaping up well! I'm impressed, amazed and always picking up new techniques whenever you post. Keep up the great work you two!
@14:16 This cute, diabolic laughter...
You first place the bottom piece, the back wall, the top, then the side walls, this way all the water falls down on the bottom plate that's under all the walls, so less likely to infiltrate, the back wall is under the side walls so you're less likely to see the seam or uneven cut; and the top plate is over the back wall for pretty points, and under the side walls, for pretty points but also in case the goop does fail adhesion in 2, 5, 10, 20 years, it'll still be help perfectly in place by the side wall tiles.
6:10 - Oh my... that hurt to watch lol. You really need to redo that with a clean tip and use bit of flux too 😳😬
Bathroom really coming together nicely!! And love that hotdog t-shirt she was wearing lol 😂😀👍
I like you also show your screw ups. Makes us feel better about ours.
It's so fun to see you making your home. Thanks so much for the videos, I know it's a TON of work.
Outstanding work! Both of you have an incredible work ethic!
Really impressive and inspiring the willpower it takes to take on a project this size, this complicated and this out of your comfort zone.
I'll try and do a 1/50th of that for now.
You're both absolute troopers!
Beautiful bathroom design! Thanks for sharing the progress!
That tile is dope. Nice job!
Bonus points for the Biltema T-shirt!
Beautiful work and bathroom. Can't wait to see the complete project!
It looks great. I just can’t get over the fact that with all your design skills and your starting blank canvas you opted for the washing machine taking up that prime place right through the bathroom door. There had to have been a better place? Stacked with a dryer in the corner of the kitchen in a cupboard? Anywhere else tbh!
Yes agree- they could have had any amount of space for bathroom- any size shower, so it's hard to understand how it turned out. And I am going to totally get slammed but why do SOOO much crazy extra work with shower? First the fiberglass panels, then cement floor and then tile on top? Then the cute wall shelves with lights 🤣WTF? ! - is It all about having content for vlog? Cuz with fiberglass in place all you need is super simple prefab resin shower enclosure- just pop it in. And cement floor ? -this is all you need totally works.
AWESOME - I am not exactly sure how many times I would have raged a bit - result is just worth it. Love it. 👍
That looks really nice. Love watching your progress. The two of you are very cute.
the progress is amazing!!!!
That tile edge tapering technique is a gem. Thanks man. 👌
awesome work guys. i love the way you handle problems as challenges and make the best out of it. the shower looks stunning!!! 😍
Loving this series, always at the edge of my chair for the next episode. So great to see you learning some new skills like the grouting and sharing the knowledge and journey with us. :D
Love your videos and always admire the level of finish/quality. Except your soldering, that sucks 😉😂
Hahahahah fair enough 😅
@@achappel definitely one of those things that comes with practice. Good enough for this purpose though. Looking forward to rest of the videos.
Bosch Professional on the background
Every new video of this project is like opening Christmas presents ♥️
Nice work Alex! :D a tip with grout is to have it wet enough when you start because it sets up real fast hehehe! also, did you use soapy water on the silicone after you removed the tape? Hope you finish the roof in the bathroom so that the steam doesnt create water damage :) I live in Norway too, ive done a couple of bathrooms and tiled myself so i know it a lot of work! cant wait to see the next project :D
Great work so far. Ther is a special Tool for trimming the corners of silikon. I learned that it is beneficial to have it convex instead of koncave, so it lasts longer.
What, Alex made an error and wasn't perfect... Can it be? I have been getting withdrawals waiting on this video. Keep up the exceptional work Alex.
Been loving these videos, it's look so so good! I hope to see the other videos very soon of the rest of the build.
nice job Alex.. Bathroom looking great!
I wish you lived closer so I could give you a hand kicking this out. You 2 are doing great. Be proud of yourselves. Beautiful work bud
Loving the transformation mate👍👍
Love this series of videos! Looking at someone else do what I would never do because I am too lazy is great.
I gotta say, that's one of the coolest toilets I ever ever seen. Very cool. This is exciting bud
Great job you two!!!👏👏👏👏👏
omg you're so precious I love watching your videos. They're always good knowledge and technique, and fun to watch
You're so passionate it's amazing
That is a gorgeous shower
you guys are doing an awesome job.!!!!!!
Bravo you two! I had a black toilet once, still requires cleaning, shows lime scale, water spots, and skid marks (lol). Still worth it!
I like the idea of using the bedroom only for the bed. It's a tiny space but at least the rest of the condo won't be larger for more activities other than sleeping.
Hope you used neutral silicone for protecting the end of the led strip. Sanitary silicone contains acid, which damages metal (had to redo a lot of those strips, when we accidentally used wrong silicone).
That looks like Aquarium silicone, so I think it should be fine?
@@Helveteshit yep, should work just fine.
Awesome project cant wait to see more :)
Very, very nice job you guys. Really impressive 💪🏻👍🏻😎
Perfect work 👌🏻👌🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Awesome, I love your approach to problem solving, is there anything you recommend either watching or reading to help me be more creative?
Greetings from Ohio, USA. Greet video. 😊
It looks amazing! Your place Will be amazing, it's really interesting to see How diferent construction is around the world, i'm from Brazil by the way
you guys are amazing
Looking gooood!
Love all the videos.
Winner?
Good stuff man.......
the top LEDs will shine directly into your eyes
so funny you keep trowing stuff and almost let it fall, its the same story for me in my workshop, but it is so much fun to right catch a hamer or a part when you are in a flow of work :P
You guys did a fantastic work there! 😃
The bedroom is probably going to be easier... No waterproofing and stuff like that.
Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
DIYferent UA-cam Chanel had his grout set up too fast. He contacted the manufacturer. They said it does that when you use a power drill. The fast drill movement mixes too much air into the mix, which makes it set up too fast. When he remixed by hand, it set up slow, allowing him to finish the job.
love it!!.. the silicon technique with tape though... very unique! :-D haha
You might want to move the shower curtain to where the bathroom door is going to go, just to have a little privacy!
Ohhhh myyy!!! 9 days?!?!?! Hope you get everything beforethat! or at least the most important stuff :')
Amazing attention to details and it looks really nice! I "oursourced" the thing between the tiles (fug) to my wife to :p
if you want the grout to be waterproof, there is a liquid mix with the grout powder calls "flexible cementitious waterproofing"
Amazing Job!! What's the LED voltage? I'm planing tho do someting similar in my bathroom. Thx for the inspiration and keep showing your progress
The only two construction series i watched and genuinely like were yours and @Modustrial Maker. Both channels are similar with wood working and both started making home at the same time. I do not call them house but in fact home as that emphasizes the human aspect into it.
You legend.
16:14 i dint know you guys had biltema in norway its funny tho
greatings from sweden
Amazing work! Very very nice!! Which camera and lens have you used to film all of that? Thank you!
Love your videos!! Do you have some leftover "grout" ??? i need to fill in like 6 tiles :D I live in oslo!
What wire stripper is that he used for soldering the led strips looked nice
Awesome!!
I have a question: why do you use glue only in that joints and no in all of them?
If I may: bad choice the black shower. It’s a pain in the ass cleaning and removing water preventing limestone formation. Good luck
Nice job on the Shower Niche lights. Do you have a link for the lights?
To lay down silicone without tape, just use ammonia-free glass cleaner. Lay down a thin bead where you want it to go, spray over it with the glass cleaner, wetting a few inches on either side of the bead, then spray your finger with the glass cleaner, and use it to swipe the bead. The glass cleaner keeps the silicone from sticking to the sides that have been sprayed and wipes off your finger without any mess.
Hey Alexandre, maybe instead of taping all the silicon joint, have you tried using a joint smoother? Like that you save a lot of tape and most importantly time.
Great video, really like the progress!
Greetings from Germany! =)
shouldn't you silicone the tube for electric cables too? (because moisture, small water droplets)
Per aspera ad astra!💪🔝🤗👍
That's indeed coming along nicely! Is the showerhead adjustable, that is, can it be raised & lowered? Given the high efficiency of the equipment used for heating the water as well as the quality isulation in place it might be a moot point for you all but water cools off surprisingly quickly when sprayed over a distance; that showerhead looks pretty high so some of the heat might dissipate by the time it reaches whoever is showering. It's actually a bit of a concern for me as my house has a woefully undersized & inefficient water heater in addition to an underinsulated bathroom & I found that I could stretch out my showering in the wintertime by adding an extension to the showehead because the water wouldn't cool off so quickly & the hot water supply would last just that much longer. Easy to verify by holding your hand close to the showerhead & then feeling how much the temperature changes the further you move your hand away from the showerhead. Yeah, it's on my list, upgrading the water heater & the insulation, just have to budget for it!!
Hey Alex, how is your moving going? When can we expect an update from you? Keep up with your cool content. Like them a lot!
What tubes did u use to run the electrical line from the led's to the cieling?
with a bathroom that perfect you're going to need to find some nice stone dispensers for all your toiletries to put on those shelves in the shower
Great video :) Bathroom looks great... You really like to do things a bit harder :D I love seeing all the mistakes and solutions in video, it makes it more personal :) Keep it up! You can do basic bedroom in no time! ;)
I was wondering how long until a 3D printed part showed up!!
Wow, what stripping pliers are those? They seem to be working great!
Looks to be a weicon stripping tool. I think it's the no.5.
