This is a jail call between Chad Daybell and Lori Vallow where they discuss "blueprints," "plans" and text messages. This was made on June 8, 2020 - less than 12 hours before police showed up at Chad's home and discovered JJ and Tylee buried on his property.
This recording was played during Daybell's trial on May 15, 2024.

After today's testimony and all the continuous and frequent calls between Chad, Lori, Zulema and Alex, Zulema had to know what was up. I bet the authorities told her to fess up or she was going down with them so they offered her the immunity.

Melanie G didn't say that in that many words this time, but did indicate she too has immunity, it was in Lori's trial Mel G said that she had immunity. I'm not sure about the other Melanie however, I don’t recall anything being said of her having full immunity

Chad told Lori he had been texting Alex in the next life. Lori was asking so many questions about that that Chad couldn’t keep up with his lies. I think that’s why he was giggling. This was how the cops figured out that the kids were buried in the back yard. They really thought they were to smart for the rest of us to figure out the code.
It was Alex's cellphone that pinged in his backyard that alerted the police.
This was not how they figured out the kids were in the backyard. They had already found the kids and arrested Chad before this phone call. At the time of this phone call they are both in jail

This seems to be her expressing that their own project has hit a snag and is taking a long time to work through. Chad responds very literally to this and begins telling a story about one of Mark’s friends. Lori ignores this anecdote and persists in her euphemism, saying at 1:37 that there is “always something that comes up”. She then acts as though she is quoting the television show ( 1:42 ) from the host’s point of view and says “well we didn’t know when we dug in your backyard they were gonna find… whatever." The pronoun shift from "we" to "they", plus the rise on "know" and the barest emphasis on "whatever" is just the subtleist little clue that what she is actually saying is that we (Chad, Lori, and Alex) didn’t know when we dug in your backyard (Chad’s backyard, when they dug to bury the kids) that they (the police) were gonna find… whatever (bodies, ding ding ding ding!). In response, Chad laughs nervously and shuts up, probably hoping she doesn’t say too much. At this point, Lori tries to bury what she just said by strengthening her comparision to the pool-renovation show and over-talking, probably thinking she’s the smartest woman created (according to Chad) and that law enforcement (who she knows is listening) is too stupid to catch-on to the veiled references she is making and the "construction project" metaphor" she is about to launch.

Then in comes a call 06/08/2020 where manipulative Chad is telling Lori that he is texting and getting answers from her DEAD brother Alex and they are laughing and giggling about the whole "project not being done", and tells her to write him (Alex) and he will write her back. Crazy sickening. Well ole Chaddy you supposedly saw a new promise land, but you didn't see you both getting tried for murder? Maybe you can go into a portal in your jail cell and text Alex about that. Let us all know what he says.

Nate, when you interview Summer Shiflet at CrimeCon ask her why she did not include any photos of Tylee and JJ in that tribute video she made of Alex while she included photos of every other kid in the family. The kids had not been found yet when she posted it on UA-cam and she and her mother were saying at the time that there was no way Alex had done anything to them. There are also very few photos of Lori in that same video. Summer knew.......

Even if he gets the death penalty, it will be decades before he gets executed. I'm thinking he will live into his 70's before he faces any death sentence.
