Did Nintendo FIX Their WORST Switch Games?! Nintendo Switch Sports & Mario Strikers: Battle League
Вставка

- With a lot of discussion about what is in store for the Nintendo Switch next year such as with a new Mario game, I wanted to reflect on two of the lowest points in Nintendo history being Nintendo Switch Sports and Mario Strikers: Battle League. The Golf update was recently added as well as Strikers getting a final update. So the question is, did Nintendo finally finish them or are they still some of their worst games ever made?

It’s been a trend with recent spin-off titles from Nintendo. Their gameplay is super fun and the animations are mostly very good, but they sorely lack single-player content.
"the animations are mostly very good"
*le Mario Golf Super Rush has arrived*
@@Goomba1309 did that have bad animations? Shame
These games are subject to be forgotten in the following years, and I’m still not convinced on getting either of the two games at all.
I don’t have Battle League so I don’t know what to say about that
I have Switch Sports, and I recommend that you don’t get it, it’s not worth it, not as much content as the original and Wii Sports Resort, and I personally hate that the Miis are sidelined in their base game
a store here brought of of them for the same price (very high mind you) and the idea of buying them didnt even cross my mind but when it brought splatoon 3 i actually bought even tho it was very expensive
you why? its because i knew the game was worth it
Nintendo + sports = ew
@@guyfierimtwi With the exception of Wii Sports and Resort, and some Mario ones

Honestly, Nintendo and Next Level Games should have remastered _Mario Strikers: Charged_ and/or _Super Mario Strikers_ to HD resolution, textures and lighting, and brought either/both of them to the Nintendo Switch instead of releasing _Mario Strikers: Battle League_ for the Nintendo Switch! At least then we would have a Mario Strikers video game with a decent amount of content on the Nintendo Switch...
This is what happens when you release a barren game. According to the datamine Battle League was going to to have 10 extra characters from free updates. But since nobody is playing it, the updates got cut short.
Well, that's very, *_very_* disappointing there (that is - *_*if*_* the datamine is true/correct there)! 😮💨😮💨😮💨😞😞😞
@@StevenVillman Mario Strikers Battle League was the first Strikers game not directed by Mike Inglehart, as he left the company.
“I like my girls how I like my Pokémon Gameboy Advance games…real.”~Demeech
Short answer: Absolutely not.
Long answer: A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad. And since these games feel pretty rushed...
Like Sonic 2006. That game should've stayed in the oven. It's not fully cooked.
@@siyahseeker Exactly. It had potential, but was ruined because it was rushed.
@@Goomba1309 as shown by overwhelming praise for P-06
@@Goomba1309 I am more disappointed with Nintendo Switch Sports because that was actually made by a Nintendo studio that was not acquired like next level games.
"A delayed game is eventually good"
Limbo of the Lost was delayed many times & still ended up being awful & will forever be awful.
I like to think of it like this: some people at Nintendo really wanted to make these games good, but because of corporate greed that the higher-ups in the HQ had, they forced the poor employees to rush them, adding "free updates" later on. They wanted to make a good game, but didn't want to risk getting fired so they do the evil corps bidding. It's like what happened with Sonic Origins. That game had a lot of glitches nothing making the game worth it, like Knuckles in Sonic CD or Amy playable in all games after Sonic CD. Those features were PROBABLY intended to be included, but SEGA's executives said no, and to release the games bare-bones as is. Even Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the definitive version of the game (after Sonic Classic Collection for DS) made specifically for this compilation is unfinished. The physics are somewhat wonky and the levels can be beaten earlier than usual because of glitches. What I'm saying is, the devs need to stand up and protest to make their games great again, because it's what Miyamoto stands for. If the corps don't wish to comply, then they should be fired and get some people in charge who actually CARE about making good finished video games.
And then the next thing you know is that they needed to rush one game in order to work on developing another. It must be the reason why Pokemon Sword and Shield ended up being mediocre while Scarlet and Violet had more potential. Coincidentally, according to the wiki, Sword and Shield were developed around the *SAME TIME* as Scarlet and Violet.
@@wubbers662 Burn out can also lead to lack of quality but that situation could of been avoided with proper management and leadership with right people. Something Nintendo seems to be lacking in right now.
@@wubbers662 And then BDSP was ILCA, a mobile video game company who, at the time, NEVER MADE A SINGLE VIDEO GAME.
@@wubbers662 I'm aware they have, and the delayed ones usually turned out good, though there are delays where the game turns into something else entirely, like the next Metroid Prime for the DS supposedly turned into Metroid Dread.
so in other words, capitalism. what you're describing - and what happened here - is natural capitalist behaviour.
I just cannot understand how people are okay with new full price games having less (or about the same) amount of content than 17/16 year old games. Just because older games had little content doesn't mean anything. The whole point of a sequel is to expand on what was already made
This REALLY reminds me of Bubsy 3D. Yes, Bubsy 3D was full price. I don't care about it being "one of the first platfo-" ALPHA WAVES RELEASED EARLIER IN 1991 FOR THE WEAKER MS-DOS MACHINES AND USED TEXTURE-LESS POLYGONS IN A MORE AETHSTETICALLY PLEASING WAY AND ITS TANK CONTROLS WERE BETTER.
Switch Sports is only 40$ so yea that’s not full price. They easily could’ve charged 60$ seeing that Nintendo Sports in top 3 best selling IPs for Nintendo💯💪🏾
Only Demeech can get angry at grass and not be awkward!
2:09 beef boss was the orignal hamburger mii and this hamburger is a imposter
(Poofesure fans would understand)
Since I didnt expect any more characters or stadiums than we got in strikers I was at least hoping for more basic quality of life options. And out of all the things that are still missing they bring quickchat options no one asked for or cares about lol.
I was hoping for anything but when I saw that feature, my heart broke
geeeeeeet ready for people to spam the hell out of "gotcha!" every single F*cking time they score!
THANKS NINTENDO!
@@nickdearth1663 I still forget it's even a feature till my opponent is spamming it when they score, such a useless feature
14:30 By this logic it should be ok if next mario kart had only 8 characters because thats how many characters first mario kart had...which is over 30 years old.Heck it should start with 4 characters and add 4 remaining ones in DLCs
That's current nintendo fanboy logic:
"Hey the first game had that and everyone loved it so STFU"
Or "you should be grateful for what nintendo gave you they even did free dlc you are ungrateful let people enjoy things even if they suck and are inferior to an almost 20 year old game"
Lol.
@@GundamExiaDarkMatter aren't yall nintendo fanboys too lmao?
And to add to that, make sure that there's no music at all, have extremely cheap AI, abysmal track design, equally abysmal controls & not a single unlockable feature in sight. Also no online multiplayer, only 2 players can play at a time, singleplayer & multiplayer will be the only options, the graphics will look worse than Cosmic Race for the PS1, the game doesn't even check if you actually did a lap or not, physics are broken, only 1 control method which is very cryptic, it just says "win" in lowercaps when you win a race & "lose" when you lose(the latter would happen 99.9% of the time), going off-track will cause the game to freeze, & there will be parts of the track you can(and WILL) get stuck in, forcing you to reset the game because the pause function will only pause the game & NOT bring up any menu.
@@noheffthing well as a fanboy i can confirm the truest of fans hate just as much as they love a game, preferrably moreso.

Waluigi in Mario Kart 7: *I know that feel bro...* Er, I mean- *Wah.*
-It’s like adding ADELEINE to Kirby Star Allies- -oh wait they did that.-
It’s like adding RIDLEY to a Metroid game.
I think this game is better but I don’t think it’s over for free updates, also the special holes are unlockable from Wii Sports Resort
They took 7 months to get golf added…. And it’s just recycled courses.
What even?
The part with George Bush was hands-down one of the greatest moments in Demeech history.
Okay that's it, we need fans to get to work. Hey fans, it's time to make a mod for Mario Strikers Battle League. Add gimmicks and change the look a bit to existing fields, add new fields, add new characters, add new items, change the gear system a bit, add minigames, add a story mode, it doesn't even have to be as ambitious as Subspace Emissary (though that would be appreciated), we need to fix Mario Strikers Battle League. We shall call it Mario Strikers Project Charged, or for short Mario Strikers Project C, Mario Strikers PC, or MSPC, fans do your thing. As for Switch Sports, naw that game doesn't deserve to have fans try to redeem it.
Maybe one day there would be a mod for Switch Sports
@@andrescube64 I don't think anyone would care enough to try to salvage Switch Sports to be honest.
Switch sports isn't good enough yet what are you saying?
@@NCHLT Switch Sports is irredeemable trash that no mod can salvage.
and better yet, it wont require the main game and you can use a rom online, that way you can get a good strikers game without giving into Nintendo's demands, if we used real copies Nintendo would just be like "they love this game" instead of realizing what fans did to it
2 things.
1. I don’t think you mentioned the Strikers Club feature at all across all videos mentioning Battle League. Was there not much to talk about in that area?
2. I feel like the stadiums not being varied comes from the fact that two variants can be merged together. I don’t think having a terrain change/gimmick one one side of the stadium, and another one on the other, would work. Maybe they could’ve had the gimmicks combine in a way, but idk.
maybe just ditch that idea then idk
For 1. Its just the online sucks
Or make the gimmicks have less of an effect on the split stages
@@secretshadow9515 yeah if the idea is so boring and restraining there is no need to prioritise it
No… once garbage… always garbage… and adding ONE sport or a few characters (that should’ve been there at launch…) doesn’t automatically make them finished…
New modes would a been great
Your “once garbage always garbage” mentality is flawed. It’s more than possible for a once-bad game to become not bad anymore with updates. Mario Kart Tour has had so many updates and improvements, as a day one Tour player I would know. It’s more generous than it used to be, but sadly 99% of MK fans are oblivious
@@WritingCountingOriginal your right. Mario kart tour is WAY more fun now.
@@potatoofs Mario Kart Tour is still pay to win. So yeah Nintendo is definitely not improving their games the way they should.
@@ashfallen1 not really. Imo if you play the game enough then you'll have enough gems to get items. It's not really much of a grind either
We need Baseball, Boxing, Table Tennis (ping pong), Cycling, archery, parachuting, Basketball, Canoeing, Wakeboarding, Frisbee (With Dog) and Frisbee golf in nintendo switch sports. (I doubt we'll get Piloting unless Nintendo decides to re add Wuhu Island).
Will *definitely* agree that Battle League was always bad. I remember when I tried it with my folks on launch day. We all hated it. A lot. I kept the game, hoping that it would get better, because this was my first exposure to the Mario Strikers series. Nope. Regret spending $60, and now this is likely my first trade in ever.
Switch Sports, on the other hand, did give me some level of enjoyment at launch, but ironically, I had less hope for this. I agree that golf did save this game, and it's still not great, but I can see myself going back to this every week or so. Eh, as the saying goes, "to each their own."
6:20 Sorry to disappoint you but the special courses were already in Wii Sports Resorts. That were unlockable ...
Demeech once he realizes this: *AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
Demeech after this: *_DEMEECH'S MEGA ULTRA GIANT ULTIMATE EXTREME FURY_*
Its still a bummer with how battle leage ended up in its current state. While J never grew up with it, when I was able to play a strikers game for the first time, it was charged on wii, and man was it fun. With unique things each character did and how different stages were, it got me excited for league. But after playing a few times, I was saddened how much of a dowbgrade it was.
Nintendo switch sports could of had a chance of being a good game…. But it’s a real shame it got infected by Nintendo’s unfinished at launch, free update (minimum 3 updates) scheme.
I don’t want to compare to it’s cousin on switch right now (Go Vacation [2018]), but it goes to show that a simple port of a Wii game does better than a successor sequel of a 2006 Wii launch game
They literally should just do Switch Sports Resort with even more sports, freeroam, and just the Miis being there, and that would succeed so well
Go Vacation is pretty good, it’s just most of the minigames that aren’t that fun in my opinion
@@windykingdom6153 it would be cool if they followed Bandai Namco's approach to the sports genre with the free roam world like they did with Go Vacation, but then again Nintendo will be Nintendo and do the complete opposite of what people want from a simple pick up and play sports title, I did want to enjoy Nintendo switch sports just for the nostalgia value it held, but I was a little disappointed that golf took 7 months to be added into the game and I had the feeling that it would be the only thing they'd add into the game, guess I was right all along I suppose...
To add onto go vacation, along with it's free roam gameplay moving onto sports and such, they had a really customization feature as a side thing for your character, vehicles etc. They didn't have to do that but, they went above and beyond by making an animal crossing type feature with a fully customizable house. It didn't have to be a thing but it truly was a welcome addition
@@Grey_Fox019 For real, and yeah Nintendo does like to not listen to people
@@windykingdom6153 as long as people buy their games they won't change for the better 💀
We're going back in time to the development of the first Splatoon game to prevent Nintendo's first use of the Release now, update later idea. That 's right, we're going back in time to the development of the first Splatoon game to prevent Nintendo's first use of the Release now, update later idea!
Or at least to prevent them to ruin other series with it and just force them to keep it for Splatoon and ONLY Splatoon
Bruh Strikers 3 was gutted. Shame on Nintendo for messing this up
Is the Mario strikers wave 3 the final dlc? Does it say it anywhere,
I think Nintendo UK said it was, but I could be wrong
Both games are still not worth it, but I will admit, Daisy in battle league is pretty epic, from her bully Maguire dance to her fuego butt bump hyper strike. The fact she still wasn’t in the base game is so damn baffling, I mean at least she was in the game, not like Waluigi not being in MK7.
Also Rosalina best waifu don’t at me.
Switch Sports is a point above Battle League, being that it at least got some actual content. Battle League's still a pathetic and shallow excuse of a game. I hate that Switch Sports is a lifeless live service game, but Battle League really makes my blood boil in that the only real new content was Pauline.
And no! Yoshi's the best waifu, no princess, or mayor can trounce him.
For me it's Pauline and I protect her at all cost! ♥️🖤♥️🖤♥️
The Daisy situation in mario strikers kinda remind me of how Luigi wasn't in Mario Kart tour at launch for some reason.
Daisy best girl, not sorry.
@@ranpan6082 ...or Holly (a female Koopa Troopa character) from _Mario Party 8_ when it comes to the best waifu, as she is actually a *_*female*_* character (unlike Yoshi; however, he *_can_* be the best husbando - I'm not going to lie, here).
It honestly made me salty when my boi Petey wasn’t in. We have Birdo, but not Petey? No hate to Birdo, she’s cool, plus she didn’t replace Petey, but…why? It’s like how MK7 added Metal Mario over Waluigi. At least he’s in this game, though.
definitely agree regarding switch sports. it's a better game than at launch for sure, hopefully it does get more updates in the future. I don't care for Battle League at all, maybe i'll pick up the Wii entry at some point.
Not gonna lie, when it comes to the update i fell like Switch sport got the better one, golf works really well and like you said is't probly the best sport in the game
Idk why but I found it very funny when you said “ Why does she have to be in games I don’t want to play, and Mario Kart Tour.”
I didn’t end up buying Battle League because it’s disappointing, but Switch Sports had a bit of a redemption arc
really? i havent been keeping up, what happened?
@@epicgamner1139 only golf. It's still really barebones with less mini games than original wii sports. Also the games themselves have been dumbed down and are less fun.
@@Philbyyyy sigh, sounds about right. Man, the sports category has been the one game area this generation where nintendo has really been dropping the ball
I generally think switch sports wasn’t even that bad, even tho I hear a lot of people hate on it, I still think it was pretty fun to play, I kinda liked it, but Mario strikers battle league is still awful
We've had 3 Nintendo CEOs throughout the company's history.
Shigeru Miyamoto, who is often attributed with the quote "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.". Nintendo also used to use their 'Official Seal of Quality' stamp on games from the NES through Wii.
Satoru Iwata, who frequently pushed the boundaries of what made a game fun, who was a visionary within the company, and who had the concerns of the fans at the forefront of his mind with every project he worked on.
Shuntaro Furukawa, a businessman first, who came in at or near the start of the Switch Era. And while I don't want to point fingers, Switch spinoffs like the sports titles started their infamous plunge of low quality, likely because of the company switching philosophies from the Official Seal of Quality to the mindset of "Ship it now, fix it later.".
Something tells me Furukawa poisoned the Well of Creativity by putting money before enjoyment.
The "full roster" for Battle League should have been the base roster and to have less characters then the game thats 15 years old is sad and depressing
Yeah, there aren't any new things to say about about Switch Sports and Battle League. They're painfully mediocre games that doesn't improve or add anything meaningful in any way to their predecessors, but given how the both game sold well, I hope Nintendo take the criticisms of Switch Sports and Battle League into consideration.
10:45 That dance animation is so cute
I feel like this is a trend in modern gaming to release unfished games. There are few reasons to explain why it is this way. First games need more time to develop than in the past. Also studio have tight schedules to follow. They use free updates to basically have time to complete the game. And since these companies are greedy they use dlc's to milk as much they can the player
Is no one gonna bring up how stupid it is that P1 and P2 are stuck with a few color selections each?
2:19 LMFAO HAHAHA! you referenced Nikocado Avocado again omg lol
Can someone tell him that Splatoon players don’t want a battle royale mode? Thanks
By the way, I’m 99% sure that the “new” holes in golf are also from resort, there were special holes in that game too and the one you showed looks almost identical to the 2nd special hole
These games are so forgettable, I keep forgetting that Battle League and Switch Sports exist
Switch Sports Golf is missing the Lakeside Course from Wii Sports Club
im really bummed that both these games turned out this way, as they're both pretty much the only big game letdowns this generation for nintendo along with BD/SP, and if you lean that way scarlet/violet (though personally im more forgiving when studios try new things)
Still didnt get either of them … :/
Same here, and I don't ever plan on it.
so you're telling me I had to wait almost a year for golf and all I get are fields from a literal Famicom game and a 2009 Wii game? not even the club courses?
Yea, I think both Switch Sports and Battle League are still a hot mess
Thanks for the follow up video!!
Is Battle League worth it if I can get it for £25 or under? I know it's light in content but it looks pretty fun, I gotta say.
I might look for a cheaper used copy myself, because I love the animations so much and my favorite characters Shy Guy and Yoshi are playable with different colors (which for some reason is extremely rare). I heard people saying the animations are the best part of the game. It’s honestly sad because that’s how little it has to offer. I wish it was much better than this, because the different Shy Guys and Yoshis, plus the incredible animations, with as much content as Charged would’ve been perfect for me. Makes me wish they just remade Charged with the new characters and animations alongside the old ones. I haven’t actually played Mario Strikers yet, but I watched Charged and love the different obstacles and hazards. Makes it feel like it’s really a Mario game. So even though I’m still interested in the switch one, I would never buy it at full price.
I always like battle league and all my friends like it too, its just a pick up and play. Probably not a $60 game but $40 and its worth it
Great video but i hard disagree on unlockables I don’t know where you got the idea that a multiplayer game needs unlockables it just needs content if Mario golf toadstool tour had no unlockables but the same content would that make it worse no because the content is there and there are a ton of things for you to do unlockables just provide a incentive for doing it but it’s not required anyway great video keep it up demeech.
also didn't strikers have single player content like Charged did?
I was not mentally prepared for Demeech's rapping skills.
I love Luigi’s face in the thumbnail
Mario Slam Basketball did EVERYTHING right. Has to be one of Nintendos best sports game
Thank you! I'm eagerly waiting for another Mario basketball game because its predecessors are epic!
I don't know if only I believe this but the same day the second update of Mario Strikers: Battle League was released, Shovel Knight DIG was also released and I think that SKD overshadowed the second update of Mario Striker: Battle League. Unfortunately I think I know what's going to happen with Mario Strikers, Nintendo is going to freeze it again for at least 10 more years. A real shame.
me when wii sports resort also had 3 golf courses seperate from the rest
No matter how much I wanted these games to be good, we got what we got at the end. Here's to the future of Nintendo spinoff games I will NOT be buying, and to the more ambitious indie games that have my FULL attention
2:26 so Nintendo is copying fortnite now?! 😂
You're describing the main problem with Birdo at 11:05. What is wrong with having Birdo playable in Mario Kart 8? In fact, I can likely chop up the video to replace you saying Pauline with Birdo.
Also 12:24 you complained about something that mods for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have introduced already, why can't Nintendo do it themselves?
I bought these games because they were monetarily accessible in my country... Our currency is so garbage right now that when I buy a game, I mostly buy it based on the price and on what I think is attractive. So yeah, these games lack content but I paid an OK price for them so...
If that was the final update of battle league then too me it's not complete
It’s a fact that they rushed Battle League to be made, but it’s an opinion that they only made this game to shut Strikers fans up for good, only to be set on fire by their rancidly-artstyled fury after everything they tried to make it interesting with.
I think they failed at shutting up Strikers fans because the game was crappy
@@julienherard414 EXACTLY! THEY F*CKED UP SO MUCH!
I thought it was okay, but lackluster. I was mostly upset about the lack of Petey. And the maps, too.
Just give me unlock objectives. No more "unlock randomly" bullshit.
It's been a spectacle, hasn't it? I never knew I needed to hear George W. Bush talk about Mario Golf: Advance Tour. I don't have much to say about Switch Sports other than it was too little, too late, and it at the very least got some actual content put in.
Battle League receives no mercy from me. *takes a deep breath* Mario Strikers: Battle League represents everything wrong with Mario Sports and modern Nintendo as a whole. The updates did nothing to fix the game's main problem, it's still the same overpriced tech demo from June! It does nothing really new, what it does was done better in the original and Charged, and frankly, it just comes off as a soulless cashgrab. I loathe this game and while it isn't the worst thing ever, it will forever go down as my least favorite game of all time!
Thank you for giving closure to these embarrassing excuses for games! Have a Merry Christmas too, my friend!
Полностью согласен, нифига они в Mario Strikers не починили, хотя и Полин шикарно выглядит:)
whoever said gimmicks in the game will be too chaotic just realize what made strikers fun in the first place.. HAVENT PLAYED THE PREVIOUS TITLES!
Battle League hurts the most because they turned a great game into a trash game, and not even out of laziness, because the gameplay, characters and animations all show a level of polish comparable to Mario Strikers Charged and Luigi's Mansion 3, but the lack of item variety, character gameplay variety, stage variety, basically everything, kills it immediately after the first match, it's literally just a free demo version of a non-existent great game, especially when a free demo does exist and it's exactly the same as the final release with all the DLC added, it's just a whole lot of nothing, and it makes me sad
If Battle League has another fREe uPDaTe, it better let you play as your mii. Instant 10/10
Strikers hurt me so much. Waited so long for it, only to be... Strikers. In the least exciting way possible. I held on to my hope until I played it, even though it was a pretty clear picture, but welp, the magic was tarnished.

The problem with NSS adding golf is that it's golf. You either love it, hate it, or only play it to grind for points. Hopefully the next sport is more popular.
You know, sometimes I think it is better for a franchise to be forgotten than to be ruined. Star Fox was ruined by Star Fox Zero and now Mario Strikers has been ruined by Battle League. At this point I dont even know if I want a new F-Zero, Nintendo would probably make something worse than the Gamecube game anyway
And don't even get me STARTED on Mario Sluggers...
We can finally keep calm & dada on
7:15-7:30 One of the truest statements
The game really lost me with the cringemates, and with the lack of content at first of course, why couldn’t they honestly just made the Miis the base characters like before, like what even went through Nintendo’s head
I know it might seem dumb to mainly stop playing because of the cringemates, but I just really love Mii characters and it’s sad to see them sidelined in their base game
this seems like a classic case of trying to make the game more unique, there way of doing that was making the most generic cartoon characters on the market instead of using there already existing fully customizable avatars that have loads of character
@@TheEPICMarioBros2 It’s definitely unique all right, just not in the best way 💀💀
Yeah, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the Miis
I still have my profile picture from national leg strap day.

but i will say i hated how lackluster it was. mixed thoughts, so a 5/10 from me
strikers is a good...
mobile game
now before the sharks arrive, imagine being able to buy coins and the decoration currency thing using real money, you got yourself a mobile game right there
all jokes aside, you can get more single player content out of Angry Birds
And before you start saying things like "ITS A SPORTS GAME, YOU EXPECT THE GAME TO BE GOOD IF YOU'RE LONELY? THE GAME WAS MADE FOR MULTIPLAYER"
Pokemon Unite
I've spent more time on that online based game than this, and personally, I prefer it over this.
Yes yes, I know its an opinion, but it the fact that I got bored of this 60$ game faster than I did with a game that is free should say something
I would like to have table tennis and baseball added to switch sports
The biggest event of 2022
It only makes sense you would be the one to go back to these games, so I wouldn't have to. I didn't buy either of these games and from a let's play alone, it was severely lacking.
Maybe Switch Sports Deluxe which adds boxing back for Switch 2/Pro and Strikers Battle League Deluxe which will add Koopa Troopa and Hammer Bro as well as offline jersey customization will be better received as they will feel more 'complete' at launch.
In all seriousness these 2 games were huge disappointments, Strikers especially as I had been clamoring for a sequel for over a decade and this is what we got -- maybe an unpopular opinion but Golf Super Rush is still more fun to play -- also their final updates added new modes, something Strikers couldn't be bothered to even attempt.
hes a idea for Nintendo how about a new update where we can pick out of some characters to block the ball my spelling is bad but people know what i mean
Is the Diego Twitter Guy Real?
We need more characters in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
Welp, that aged well
I still haven't gotten them yet that's how bad these games are
I would find it funny if Nintendo made the stages different and gave you things to do the game would be 10 times better
You can’t patch the first impression
They do work for a SHOOTER.
Which Splatoon is. But guess what Ninty? The Sports games are NOT.
I still find battle league fun. Sure it has 0 single player content but at least online can be fun if you have a good connection.
I just can’t forgive Nintendo for the lack of content within golf. It’s the same 21 holes from wii sports resort. Even Club had 27 holes! Where did those extra holes go? No matter how good online is, it gets boring when it’s the same course EVERY SINGLE TIME
I like switch sports for the volleyball there's no triple a volleyball games and that's the closest
My opinion is that Switch Sports still lacks so much in comparison to even Wii Sports Club, but at least the golf sport addition actually made it more appealing, I guess there's a dust of hope for it. Strikers on the other hand....
Actually, Nintendo said this is the last FREE UPDATE, so maybe they’ll have paid expansions in the future with the good stuff, maybe… It’s not ideal, but Oh well 😔
*$1000 update*
I wouldn’t call switch sports the word switch game. Sure it’s no Wii sports, but it’s still an ok game
Nintendo had to make sure it plays well on the Switch Controller.
I guess that took 7 Months 🤷🏽♂️
Are these games still bad?
Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: "I'm going to dedicate the rest of my life to forgetting it."
Well here a more my overall thought post your vid: yes I know they started rough but I never found them as disgrace to gaming even with the free update strategy while yes the lack of content isn't an esxuce for their rough start they never were in the case when is were with the D tier of below games when is buggy as all hell when is unplayable or the gameplay is repulsing and they mostly stuck being unfaithful to their roots and feel slapped dashed
But for how much you see them as a disgrace I just never found it the case compare to other games when is either gone too far from it's roots like resident evil 6 or a mess that happen a second time or in a short time in their franchise like sonic boom rise of lyric
As for where I rank them switch sports end for me in middle C tier as just an ok game and battle league as a low C tier game basically exist in a void of games that just there for their mediocrity, I just never found it as the worst switch mario sports game since mario aces exist and I tell more than enough is basically ultra smash episode 2 and super rush feel more slap dashed, if you disagree with me or my POV fine but don't expect me to change my opinion
I think this game is ok, not horrible but not great
@@andrescube64 like I said the low C tier games are basically games that I just don't care for them they either not impressed me or make me pissed like shadow the hedgehog, resident evil 6 castlevania 64, and pac man 2 the adventure to name a few I just found them as not games that worth my damn positivley or negativley.
As for switch sport it did escape from low C tier but being a middle C tier game just make ok from my perspective nothing less and nothing more
Well they pretty much in the state of games I don't care anymore from games that are utter disappointment don't happy how they started but now they in the state of ehh I guess
