This year i was starting with 106kg then i was so disappointed of me and start running! In June i take decision to sign for very first time in ASML Eindhoven Half Marathon i have small injury in July but in August i go back for training and i think i will finish without a problem my first half marathon this year! Thanks for a video! Locks amazing :)
Congrats!!!. You did great. Seems like a lovely race & nice medal as well. I would like to ask what you recommend, I have Amsterdam marathon to do this year on 15 & I'm still thinking to do Eindhoven on 8 October. Would you recommend to do the full thing or just half for Eindhoven and then full marathon in Amsterdam?
Hey, thanks for watching! It really depends what your experience is with marathons and what your expectations are. It's -generally- not recommended to do back-to-back (half)marathons, especially if you want to do well/go fast in Amsterdam. I've personally done the Eindhoven 10K the week before my first marathon (Paris) and that felt great. I've done some back-to-backs since then, but they were more for fun/cardio and slower paced.
@@tatotjip okay. Thank you very much. I totally agree. Most consecutive races I've done were 3 marathons all two weeks apart last year. And back to back half marathons with Leiden and Utrecht last month. I'll humbly say I can manage and I would say least finish if those are my two races but it also comes down to my time goal for either or both. I think I would at least want one to be a PR so either the first is like the long run before the second or I just go to enjoy the second. But I think the support and fun from both are equal so I could use that with Amsterdam & be disciplined with Eindhoven as my "long run" before a week's Taper. Thanks again for your video & just reading another runner's never ending thoughts 😹. I think I'll come back here to tell you what I later decided and did . 🤞🏾
Ha, that definitely changes the context, once you've got a few marathons under your belt, you know what you're getting yourself into :P definitely report back, make sure you get Rotterdam in at some point too! (Maybe you already did)
@@tatotjip yeah yeah. I've done a good number so I'll see how training goes and strategise. Ah yes. Rotterdam!!!. I just moved there for work and I can't wait to run it next year. Maybe as a Pacer if I'm accepted. Thanks for you insight. Take care 👍🏾
Did my first ever marathon in Amsterdam in 2022 and considering Eindhoven this year. Video was great and gives excellent picture about track. Thanks.
