- In this video I bring you along as I service out a new to me 2012 John Deere 35D Excavator. In this video I clean out the HVAC filters that are under the floor. I imagine that these likely get overlooked and forgotten about.
-Enjoy!
Sorry 😟, I didn't realize until I was editing the video that you really couldn't see much. I didn't want to scrap the whole thing though because it might still be helpful to some one. I'll keep trying haha
Enjoy!
its all good, im a guy that has to just look at something and can take it apart, also remember, cross threads are better than loc tight
@@ozzykrahn806 definitely why we don't look at "instructions"! Tell me something I don't know!
I kept trying to get your attention....... Novice 🤣
@@dans_Learning_Curve gee i didnt know i was talking to you, sorry if i offended you
@@ozzykrahn806 oops, I was explaining why I don't read instructions. They bore me! Wasn't directing it at you.
Congrats on the new machine! Should make digging holes out back for the unannounced YT visitors a breeze..😅
I came across your channel a few weeks back ,looking for evap problems on a sierra, I've been binge watching all your videos great stuff,I got hooked when I seen you where from Avoca NY. My Dad went to work for Morrel Farms back in late 40's early 50's.He was a young fellow an they took good care of him .He came home to Grand Falls New Brunswick ,Canada with his brother and ran his own successful potatoe farm for 50 years,You are doing a great job on all your videos, informative and entertaining. Keep up the great work.
Mr.O knows his stuff been watching him for years.
When you get this machine to it’s baseline on maintenance there has to be a big project you have in store for this thing. Thanks for the content.
He's wanting one basically all of his life! He'll use it!
You better believe it. He's been dying to build an all-inclusive resort for deer!
We'd all love to see Mrs. "O" digging with that machine--hint,hint !!!
Wow. Heat and AC. That IS a nice little Tonka. Both functions will serve you well up there.
I think so too!
On behalf of the JD 35D, thank you for taking care of the little one. That'll be one happy excavator... 😎
Thanks 👍
I foresee a nice long trench coming up! Maybe a pipe behind the garage for drainage! Or maybe a wire going to the end of the driveway for a light?
Look when something is new we make mistakes it's part of the process of learning. Let's get done.
Maybe just to dig a hole to fill in a hole! LoL 😂😆
I think you're loving the new Man Toy! Greetings from that Old Jarhead in WNC
Surprisingly the same filters as my portable A/C ..Interesting !!
I say a few hours of care can save you from lots of repairs. nice Mr O
A great piece of machinery next to a skid loader!!! Best!!!
I like the Rattle Can Restoration on that thing!
it was more like a roller from the looks of it haha
@@SouthMainAuto shouldn't you be working?
Loving this series!
A/C?! What is this? An Excavator or an Escalade? Machines sure have gotten fancy since I last used one back in the 90s when I had to replace the weeping title on my house. Mind you I'm in Canada. If I was in Florida or Texas that's a necessity! Cheers!
Would love to have one I’ve ran a rental a few times. I’ve only got four acres ground, but there’s so much you can do with that or a skid loader.
Ok, young man. This is approaching abuse. We need to see that thing moving dirt.😅. How long do you think you can bleed this?
at least 2 more videos before the diggin' video is up on deck. It's there though you just have to sit out a fe more ;)
@@SouthMainAuto how long have you wanted an excavator?
@@SouthMainAuto only two? 😢 I really enjoy watching you venting your thoughts while tinkering😂.
@@dans_Learning_Curve Since I was 8 years old ish
@@SouthMainAuto I think almost every young boy had a dream of owning one. I know I have.
Sweet it's nice working on a machine that is in really decent shape. That even has all its original filters still in the machine. Seen a lot of them that had whole filter and assemblies missing. Nice job did service data say if it has an outside air inlet filter like cars usually have I know the newer wheel loaders do and some of Komatsu's equipment does.
Mickey Mouse and his friends love that fan box. Put mouse repellent in it for the winter especially!
A clean machine will do you wonders !!!!! 😀😀😀😀
It is painfully obvious to me, you need an introduction to CLEANING. Eric, some disassembly is required in order to get at the years and years of dirt, verdigris and potential rocks that may be lingering within that heater/cooler box. Also, Sam's sells this stuff called SIMPLE GREEN. Not only does it clean well, it smells fairly good too. Not trying to destroy your efforts to clean the thing up, just tryinng to get you to raise your bar a yard or two. Hahaha Keep 'em coming!!!
Nah, at the end of the day I'm just gonna use it not take it to a car show 👍
@@TheRealEricO LoL 😂😆 yep! The bar is high enough!
@@TheRealEricO I gotcha. Spose I was thinking If was doin' the cleaning.
Your like me when it comes to cleaning filter elements.
I don't own or need a JD 35D ... but now, I want one ... just to follow along on the home game ... 🤔
Nice work 👍
Ever since I was a little kid,I wanted to run heavy equipment! Then when I turned 17,I landed a job with an excavating company, man was it fun for the first month. Then it became work, you sot on a dozer for 10 to 12 hours a day its boring,or a grader,or an excavator, loader etc! I managed to become a pretty skilled operator(could dig a basement wothin 2/10s,but I became bored and needed to move on! My boss was an amazing operator and he was good to me,but I had to go and ot worked out great down the road.
I've always thought it looked fun. I really want a dozer to be honest. I've never ran one though but I'm always looking. I dunno why but I always wanted an excavator, a dump truck and a dozer 🤷♂️ I'm a third of the way there!
@@TheRealEricO My first time on a dozer,I thought you just drop the blade and push dirt.I started on a Case 850D widepad, and lets just say I spun the tracks alot and didnt move much dirt! My boss as people told me was the best they had ever seen,he taught me to feel the blade, and to make eyes with the dirt( probly what made him a world class trap shoot champ) its fun when it isnt your job,and you can do lots of things, besides just dig holes! P.S I see you still carry the Gerber knife I sent you,I have sent you other things, but always forget to add my name.Bunny Farts candle, more Gerbers,NM license plate, strippers, hope you got it all!
I hope you make some videos on the project you’re working on that you needed to buy this machine for.
The camera view was fine for what you were doing. Like your new to you toy! lol
i am enjoying this series of videos on the JD though i enjoy all your videos so
love it
What is the purpose of the bolt on the floor that you did not remove?
The Narrative Skills are Amazing Mister "O".. now on to camera placement... lol
Had a Deer backhoe with A/C, condensate drain was always clogged causing water to pool inside.
Hi Eric. Nice baby machine. For round the pond & back 40 acres . Be nice to know dose it have an hour meter ? 🛠🔧👍
eric u gonna put some shag carpet, sheepskin seat cover and get the windows tinted?
It's called a cat overhaul 5 gallons of yellow paint
Eric, what's the wild turkey population like up there in the sane part of the PRNY? I'm thinking if you took us on a spring bowhunt for turkey, either bow or crossbow, that would be some great "kahntent" for the new channel...what do you think? +1 Like
love these
I’ll be honest, I fast forwarded to the money shot at 4:20. I hope you pulled your T-shirt over your mouth like I do. That system oughta move some air now!
Put down the cigarette and pull up the shirt haha
Eric, Ironic that you have to breathe dust just to get clean air…haha
So Eric New Business venture? When cars fail inspections beyond repair. Eric's O's scap and salvage.
Cough Cough Cough 🤧 couldn't hold my breath that long lol
when it's so dirty a washing won't clean it, a warshin' is necessary!
Rattle can mechanic
Well, hopefully no mouse/small animal, droppings found either.
Phase 4 work...
I really don't like it when my rubber breaks.
Finally something the rona mask is good for.
You're doing it all wrong. You need to be on a mountain, stuck in the snow, everything frozen shut! 😂
Cleaner lasts longer. I did stuff like this myself.
That's ok I had just put my mask on. just saying
Never knew an excavator had A/C
Yeah, it's far more common these days and for good reason - all that visibility via glass - it can get oppressively hot even w/ the door latched open. Glad he cleaned them - because of the setting they're used in the HVACs take a lot of beating....less so now - when they used to have the system on the top of the cab and if you were working where dirt is flying around - it was a mess.
When you taking it out for a drive
Too much fun to have by yourself, thanks for bringing us along Eric O
Gotta hate when you break a rubber putting it on
Did anyone squint and stopped breathing when he was blowing out the air box/blower? LOL - ok - it was just me - LOL - keep on going with these videos - good stuff.....
I want to see a contest between Eric and Mrs O digging with it!
Gonna need a his and hers for that!
As an FYI: Worshable in NY-ese means it can be washed.😁
😅
I can’t see nothing because of a rocket money ad banner that won’t disappear 😡🙄
I want to watch your learning curve operating this
Thanks to great editing we didn’t see you lose your marbles and throwing the rear filter away. 😜🤣🤣
Great videos, but will it dig? 👍🇨🇦
I don't know if it was a reflex or coincidence, but when the cloud of dust filled the screen at 4:15, I actually sneezed
This new High Speed internet is amazing! All that dust came down my line and made me sneeze too! 😏
Place your bets….Eric is closing SMA and opening SMC (South Main Construction)! 😂
Going from putting the HVAC unit on top of the cab as an add-on, to integrating them into the floor!
Thats so you can remove the cab
Well, that’s not what I meant by “playing in the dirt” but the video was still good! Thanks for sharing! 👍🏻👍🏻
Nice machine, I got a Takeuchi TB 216 on my "yard" :)..
I have to ask. Did you buy this to bury the Chevys and the GM's?
Thanks for the videos, I just bought a used 2013 35D and learning a lot from ya.
Wait till you take the bucket off and install engines with it. My mini does all kinds of lifting other than digging
Ok, Eric, you TOLD me to hold my breath, and I did....... Just how long did you think I could hold it?
Those filters haven't seen the light of day since they were installed at the factory!
So the guy that used to own this mini x only thought of maintenance and using original parts... Liar liar pants on fire can't trust anyone. 🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦🍦
Hi again from California.... now, go scoop some jibbly bits for the top of the ice cream LOL
most machines have exterior filters in the outside of the cab for the air intake I would assume yours does also, should be right behind were the cab door swings open and latches open ,you should see some louvers, vents in the cab exterior
Anyone else waiting for Eric to take it for a test drive around the block? I see you brought a new Tundra
Is this John Deere gonna be used to bury old Chevys behind the shop
Are you starting to do landscaping work or what's the plan with that?
Hiya Eric
Ur having to much fun eric o love ur videos keep them coming sir thanks
Why do you need an excavator?
That's like asking why do I need so many guns?
Right!!!! It’s a Nice investment!!! Lol!!
@@TheRealEricO Fair enough answer, I perhaps thought it might be for a big project or something.
Can I borrow this rig for a week or so?
Maintance is key!!!
✔
Cracking the seal,I'm thinking this is this girls first time lol!!!!!!
I really like more and more how each video shows just how much the previous owner lied about maintenance.
It's a good thing that's an older John Deere; anything more modern you'd have to bring it into the dealer to have this done
I could actually smell the dust when you started blowing it out, lol.
Thanks for sharing Eric.
The video was perfect Eric, didnt look too bad, do you take Luna home with you or dose she stay at the shop and play guard kitty ?
She hangs out on the shop
In*
@@TheRealEricO home sweet shop lol
No nuclear charger, no autell, no busted window regulator. I thought this was a repair channel?!
Impressive HVAC system for such a small cab. Bet that will freeze you out.
Well it’s a greenhouse and sits in direct sun all day so it’s gonna get warm.
I let it run for a while and it was frosting over the windows
Click 😂
I would prep and spray that foot tray with bed liner.
Project Farm has rated Durabak 18 the best roll on bedliner, with a quality primer under it.
Why maintain anything when you can buy it brand new, run it into the ground, and then sell it?
😂👍
If you ever have any questions or concerns or issues, I bet you Clint over @C&C equipment on UA-cam he could answer a lot of questions. He rebuilds the thing for a living and sells equipment also Michael Simon @dirt perfect on UA-cam they are a couple of very entertaining guys when it comes to dirt and digging and doing tractor/bulldozer overhauling.
