    I think chi is a way to acknowledge a spiritual and spatial aspect to “ air “ which when combined with intentionality can create a powerful tool to increase awareness. When you are in a Yoga class and the teacher tells you to breathe into that stretch and send the breath down there , it works on many levels. Breathing combined with mindfulness is at the heart of meditation and part of a tradition much older than physics.

    Martial arts offers a positive way to reduce stress. You direct your energy in a physical way that is beneficial, and there is no doubt that hitting a punching bag is a great way to release pent up energy and stress.

    Take a look at Mindful Wing Chun. And search for Nim Lik. You will see my grand master Choy Shong Tim physically demonstrate and define the differences between Q ( chi ) & Nim Lik. Fascinating and incredibly true . Concentration and continuous practice will develop these energies under the tuition of a properly trained master. There’s no flying in these demonstrations. It is true.
