The most realistic thing is that he uses Kageyama as a pinch server and sometimes starts him to see how things go. I’m not sure if Kageyama would like to run a basic power offense where he sets high to Shiratorizawa’s wings.
Shiratorizawa isn’t against setting to anyone except Ushijima. Washijo just doesn’t like flashy plays. He’s perfectly fine with Kageyama setting to Tendo as long as it scores. We saw Shirabu use Ushijima as a decoy and set a quick to Taichi at the end of the Shiratorizawa match.
So Washijo uses Kageyama similar to how he uses Semi. But eventually as Kageyama improves to an all-Japan player, I think Washijo would see this and eventually utilize him as a full starter. As long as he scores points. Sort of like Tendo’s guess blocking.
I think Kageyama might have some maturity issues at the beginning, but would have no problem running Shiratorizawa-style plays where he gives high sets but also ones where he brings out the most in Shiratorizawa’s players in a way Shirabu couldn’t.
Kageyama brings a huge all-around boost in the versatility of Shiratorizawa’s serving and rotations. If Shiratorizawa normally makes it into the top 8, I think they could make it to the finals and win against Fukurodani.
The strong strengthen the strong, so it’s quite possible Kageyama becomes a better player, but it’s also possible he won’t learn the lessons he did with Hinata and Karausno. Also he’d be a much simpler style of setter.

Imagine if Kageyama was on Inarizaki. Either the Miya brothers are both attackers and kageyama uses them amazingly, or Atsumu stays setter, Kageyama goes outside. I think he would benefit from the "we dont need the memories" ideology, to help him get over his junior high flashbacks and progress as a player.

I think you underestimate how stubborn Washijo sensei is. He would 100% bench Kageyama eternally since he sees the setter as just the player that should allow the rest of the team use their full strenght. The ego's that Kageyama would face on Shiratorizawa probably wouldn't be of much help to make him understand what he is missing.

I think that kageyama shiratorizawa will struggle against the Miya twins. The thing is that Miya Atsumu is slightly better than Kageyama when they play in the series, and coupled with a hitter on par with ushiwaka and two more powerful hitters will be hard for shiratorizawa to handle. Also there is the problem of Sakusa if we assume that their captain didn’t get injured.

I x think entrance exam is the only way to enter Shiratorizawa. U also need recommendation for sport. Players like Ushijima and Tendo get one. Even in one of the ep in season 3 shows Tendo went to an interview with Washijo as the interviewer (remember the ep where Washijo x care how Tendo plays as long as he scores).
I think another reason why Kageyama x get into Shiratorizawa bcuz he simply x get recommendation from the school. Kageyama is talented and has fancy skill, it's just that his play style x suit Shiratorizawa whose motto is "Simple is Best".
Technically, Kageyama play style is based on speed but Shiratorizawa prefers power. So I guess it's just x what Shiratorizawa needs. Besides, Kageyama have yet to learn how to be more versatile (he's young, immature and naive 1st yr) to give the right kind of set to the right kind of people (unlike Atsumu who is a 2nd yr) n bring out the best in his spiker (unlike (Oikawa who is a 3rd yr) means that Kageyama have a lot more to learn. Plus, he's reputation as strong headed, dignified n egocentric means he's lack in the basic essence of volleyball. I guess this is why Shiratorizawa, particularly Washijo who is the head coach x recommend him in the first place, proven by Ushijima's word in season 2 ep 1.

if the midschool team freezing him out happens you would be more likely to get goodie two shoes kageyama. just wanting to make everyone happy not pushing them enough. so i'd say he would start no probelm and not want to rock the boat so stay with the coaches style, think he would form a bond with ushijima of two geniuses pushing each other to get better. shiratorzowa's coach might even spot that kageyama is holding back to make things easier on his team and not getting the best out of them and call him out. Someone of kageymas talent is always going to find a way to flourish especially with talented players around him.

Let’s be real though Karasuno without Kageyama is easily losing to Shiratorizawa and Seijoh.
Probably losing to Date Tech and MAYBE even Wakunan and Johzenji if both teams have a good day.
