- In today's video, we'll be exploring the 5 biggest theories that's floating around about Mass Effect 4 or 5. Since the teaser or news about the official poster for the next game, i've been able to find some leads on where we may be going for the story in the future.
I've already covered some of these on the channel, so don't forget to check the theories out in their entirety down in the description.

Plot twist, you play as Corporal Jenkins' clone and you want your revenge against flying geth drones who ripped right through his shields.
Or his brother. It's time to avenge Jenkins!
And the main villain is actually Presley. He faked his death and now it’s time for alien Holocaust.
:))) 🤣🤣

Given the fact that 90% of the time theories don't pan out the way we thought them I don't believe any of these will come true but man would seeing Shepard again make my nostalgia brain happy.
Very true, it's fun to imagine tho :D
@@MrHulthen yes that it is. That's why I read all the theories in the comments. It's really fun.
I’m just afraid if BioWare still has it in them to make either a good compelling main character for us to assume control over or is will to let us make our own character like in DA:O
@@Tate_THG I think that's why they'll need Shepard and some of the original cast to transition to a new protagonist
@@Tate_THG if not Shepard we will probably play as one of the crew members (probably Liara) or a new MC
Honestly, I love the idea of being an n7 operative chasing the signs of Shepard's return in game one as the govts of the milky way would probably be torn if rumours of Shep being back begin to circulate during the recovery period.
The idea of following Shep's trail all through game one discovering old squad mates of the commanders etc only to find Shep at the end of the game has so much potential ngl
Mass Effect 4: The Shepard Awakens
You forgot Sovereign's brother: Sluggard. He'll be back for revenge, and this time, he brought friends
I still have to watch that installment of the Emmy winning Blasto series!
In Andromeda, Suvi mentions that the geth used a Mass Relay as a makeshift telescope to observe the Andromeda galaxy. I hope the reason for it gets expanded on or explained in the new game.
Could be that they already went over there they can survive in outerspace since they dont need food or drink they only need energy
According to the comic that explored it, the Geth had modified the relays to be a telescope, but they weren't looking at Andromeda at all! They were looking for something in dark space (likely the Reapers), which the common people in the Initiative wouldn't know about, and the Geth just happened to have data on Andromeda while searching for them, which the Quarian explorer stole.
The data was out of whack however, and they returned with Tiran Kandros later on to get proper readings for them to use as basis for the journey to Andromeda.
So the Geth weren't specifically interested in Andromeda, but i guess it's possible they could have transmitted part of their intelligence to Andromeda by modifying the relay telescope to not need a "partner" to work, and then just shoot part of their intelligence at relay speeds, hoping to land on a suitable planet in Andromeda, after letting the gravity of a few planets bleed off speed, to the point where the Geth intelligence data storage unit could survive impact with a planet, which it certainly couldn't if it was just a direct impact on a planet at FTL speed...
andromeda is not canon
@@SparklingWalrus Bioware never officially came out and said that Andromeda is non-canon.
@@Mark-zo1hs It’s such a horrible game to the point where i don’t consider it cannon. The combat and customization was great tho
I’m pretty sure the flood will be the next villains under the control of Palplatine and you see the decepticons become the next Cerberus
Yes please
Well, the Citadel was really just a really big Transformer, so....
Afterwards, the Borg come in and assimilate everything
The Geth : We are back !!
Turians : You fools never learn !!
Shepard : Aww shxt, here we go again...
Javik : Tell me about it
You mean quarians? Geth and turians dont have much history besides maybe the 1st battle for the citadel against the heretics.
Think about it; the Geth are synthetic race created by Quarians. According to Catalyst, the destruction option does not only destroy the reapers but also all synthetic beings in the galaxy, which includes the Geth. So it it safe to say that Geth were destroyed in the process of saving the galaxy from the reapers
I could see something like Mafia 3 happening, where Vito (main protagonist from Mafia 2) meets the new protagonist in Mafia 3 and helps with the story.
Also like Dragon Age with Hawke :)
@@MrHulthen Imagine Ryder meets Shepard and they fight the Kett using the leviathan to take over Andromeda and Milky way
Dark energy theory sounds possible too and it is highly connected with Geth (ME2 Tali recruit mission). Good video as always.
6:44 This is a Mass Relay. There are two rings on the left. One ring in another. When the Relay works, these rings rotate
Considering that the station where they rebuilt Shepard remained intact alongside with all of the data used there to bring them back AND there was also a clone of them, confirming there might be a few things they can do to bring them back once more, I am also inclined to believe that a few hundred years (or less) might have passed and they brought them back because there is a big thing(s) once more threatening galactic peace.
Shepard will be alive.
The stargazer at the end of the game says he will tell us one more story of “The Shepard”. So likely we will see him, and the Leviathan.
Honestly, Shepard and the crew make the series. Bring them back and the game will be awesome.
Yeah tbh I don’t trust bioware to create anything as good as Shepard lol better to stay safe and bring them back then create a whole new cast and protagonist.
@@jaded-harper here's the thing though... I don't trust Bioware enough to bring back Shepard. If Shepard gets Andromeda treatment, it will be worse than just a meh new protagonist
Yea and when you shoot the child in the ending of ME3, Stargazer becomes a "she", so there is that.
It was probably on about DLC tbf because they obviously had no intention of carrying on in the Milky Way let alone with Shepard who if is in this this game comes back more times than a Saturday morning cartoon villain because they went to andromeda. Let’s not forget they’re only coming back to the Milky Way because of how poorly andromeda was received so I wouldn’t take anything in the original trilogy as foreshadowing.
just feels like it would be copying halo at that point "THE LEGEND THAT NEVER DIES" makes all the fighting worthless.
So, I haven't seen anyone talking/commenting on the interview done with both Shep's voice actors that was released recently. (probably for N7 day?) They were talking about favorite lines in they had done, etc, and in the middle Jennifer Hale says "spoiler alert - and then talks about recent work done with Garrus's voice actor". Like, Recent. So, either the legendary edition is going to have DLC or the next Mass Effect has Shepard and Garrus in some capacity (flashback scene or clones or computer simulations or time travel or...LOL).
Oh! I missed that! Thanks for telling me!
and if there is garrus there could be tali?
I thought that too
Maybe Garrus' VA is voicing Revan
@@roiking2740 Tali's voice actress Ash Shroka has been doing "undisclosed VO work", she's mainly done work on ME games. Possible.
I'm assuming it will be around the dark energy/dark matter palt line because there is so much focal on the geth and quarrians. Could be any race or concept, but its curious they go to geth. And that star in MA2 talked about it.
Dark Energy is the one i'm really hoping for tbh
I really hope that they reuse this idea. They can even combine it with others. I think that the best would be that the first game has "mundane" problems like civil war or abductions, maybe even helping to rebuild and reconect between species. Then as the games advance we see some bigger threat (leviathans, cerberus, whatever) and the problem with the dark matter. Maybe the leviathans are concerned about it and decide to reconquer the galaxy to solve the problem.
Sheppard definitely needs to return. It’s what people want he/she is a boss! Other games do it like halo and gears of war why cant mass effect be several trilogies with the same person
Maybe getting back to the dark energy plot that Reegar was talking about in ME2.
@@rehm402 sadly it's not mentioned once in ME3, the whole plot line was scrapped
@@TheKisj It could still return, it's absence from me3 was unfortunate but that would just mean the reapers weren't involved.
That would make for a compelling one-up on the reapers as far as galactic threats go.
@@Froggmeningreen here's hoping 🤞
Did everyone forget the very last part where the kid asks for another story of the Shepherd? Kinda makes one think Shep survived.
Would be so amazing to have the old crew back with shepard❤️ I get some people like andromeda but that crew ain't got nothing on my old gang:)
Word! 🙂👍
I 1000 Percent want the old crew back and "my" Shepard. Just imagine if the new trilogy is Shepard and crew fighting all these puppets that the Leviathan are the ones pulling the strings of. Did we do the right thing releasing the Leviathans to try and beat the Reapers just to have them become an even bigger threat?
The Andromeda crew was pretty cool in its own way
@@rippedtidegaming1349 leave Shepherd dead please. His story was told already
@@mobunagathevoiceofresistan801 well why leave the Easter-egg of him surviving for the "best ending" at the end of 3 if they had no intention of revisiting?
For what it's worth the Andromeda crew was awful aside from PeeBee (sometimes) and MOST fans agree with that sentiment...
To each their own bro, BioWare will do what they want. HOPEFULLY the writing and character development for the new/old/different crew will be Original Trilogy quality so we all can enjoy it...
You are going to play has Shepard. If they're going back to the OG series then it makes sense to bring back Shepard. Especially since the Destroy ending is cannon. And I i think they are going to connect the OG to Andromeda with the Remenents and the Kett
I feel a bit weird about “canon/not canon” thing.
On the hand, I understand that they need a solid ground for a new game, which is very difficult to make taking into account all the variables of different play-throughs.
But on the other one, it feels strange to, basically, throw into the dumpster all of those unique stories made by players.
I highly doubt they’d make only one ending canon, me and many others believe they made the legendary edition specifically so it’s easier to transfer our saves and choices, besides dragon age inquisition is a good indication that they can make any choice canon, my world state is very different compared to my friends in that game
@@ArchangeVie yeah but in DA there were no such big differences in endings, here you have either all machines were destroyed so geth, reapers, VIs and other and afaik we were back into sorta stone age; or machines and organic were melted into one, so we have whole new species, OR reapers are under control of sherpard as an AI so they still roaming around, just not reaping anymore (unless renegade control, than maybe :))
You know how Cyperpunk has three different beginnings? I think this is how they are going to deal with this. Depending on how you finished your Legendary play through will depend on the start you get.
@@jenitoten2212 They are too different to make a good story work. One synthetics were eradicated, in the other reapers and synthetics and humans are now the same beings and understand each other and in the last one Shepard is a God that controls the Reapers and no longer is human
@@miguelpadeiro762 your forgetting one important plot point. 400 hundred and something years have passed. Then add Rider reappearing, which adds all the weird Alien stuff from Andromeda.
My OG theory about the Reapers proved true. From a writers stand point that's the best way way to deal with the Canon.
Shepard! Shepard! Shepard! Shepard! Shepard! Shepard! Shepard! Shepard! Pleeeeaaase! Bioware wouldnt dare bait+switch. They need to get this game right. Seems they are going for the nostalgia, which is smart. Hinting Shep's return and then not delivering... would not be smart.
Turn the poster upside down and it will look like a Quarian mask head, there is even two darker spots to the left and to the right of the "Mass Effect" text that would be eyes behind mask screen. Turn it sideways and it resembles mass relay, with those two horizontal(now vertical) prominent stripes being an antennas on them. :D :D :D
The layout of the teaser picture also matches the gauntlet that you run through to reach the Citadel portal in the end of Mass effect 3, which could also explain the corpses found scattered around the area in the picture.
If Commander Shepard’s child will be the new hero, maybe just maybe BIOWARE can introduce multiple species child regardless of none compatibility with human (they can introduce gene manipulation or what ever tech-hack they imagine). It will be so fun replaying the game again-and-again using different alien Shepard. ( ala DRAGON AGE) Heck I don’t care if they re-introduce Legion with Shepard’s brainwave patterns.
True!
I feel like the child would more likely be a squad mate, though choosing to play as the kid of one of his squad mates could be really cool.
Just make the child be adoptive instead of biological in the incompatible species. It will still be a child no matter the origin and you dont need to retcon the incompatibility between aliens.
My theory is Shephard is back. I think I actually posted this on your page before. So we know Andromeda and the Trilogy will be tied in together so actual Shephard has long since passed. However, I think it is pretty well known that the benefactor in MEA is probably the illusive man. He didn't know if humanity would win and it would make sense for him to not put all his eggs in one basket. So as we know Shep can be cloned. So he dumps a clone Shep on the Initiative with the sole purpose of once they wake him up is to prepare the Milky Way species to come back to the Milky Way and prepare to fight the Reapers.
As for the new bad guy... tough call. I like the Prothean idea especially if the joined the Kett. Could be a formidable enemy or Leviathan. I still always thought there might be another sect of Reapers that didn't go down in the Milky Way. My theory for Andromeda was that the Kett were recruiting and harvesting more people for their army because they themselves were preparing to fight the Reapers. Otherwise they are just some awkward militaristic cult.
I hope you could play with different species depending on the love interest of shepard, not necessarily a biological son but probably created in a laboratory (Like Miranda and Grunt) being able to choose at beginning one of those 2 species to play.
I think the new photo released is the damage caused by the new threat and Liara and a team were sent to investigate. Quarians and Geth tried to stop it which is why we see casualties of both. As far as sheperd goes def think hes gonna make a return in 4 and from the teaser first released it seems that liara is the one that finds his body. Cerberus brought him back once and they could definitely do it again of maybe Liara uses the tech to bring him back herself.
Ugh noooooooooo! Please R.I.P. Sheppard.
People often think that destroy is the renegade ending. But I am 100% paragon and choose destroy or shoot the catalyst. For me Is like f... you, No retreat no surrender. we will figure it out. I hate bullies and the Reapers are the biggest bullies there are.
Honestly if you fallow along with the story it seems more likely that the entire ending is all a dream in Shepherds head as he's being indoctrinated and by the end of the game we are left wondering if he lost or gained control in the last seconds and presumably you only truly win if you choose destroy and have maximum or assets so that Sheppard still breathes
In February, the developers denied the Theory of Indocrination
The return of Shepard is the most plausible, along with the Leviathans beeing the new antagonist.
God please no. I hope Shepard is at least just a background character. His story is over, let us play as someone new.
You know what would be cool? Making Shepard the Anderson of a new character.
@@axios4702 I myself wouldn't mind that at all. As much as I like Shepard, I think he/she will have a smaller role in the next game.
@@axios4702 nah mass effect isn’t mass effect without Shepard. Rather them not ruin the series anymore but if they’re going to make a game then might as well bring back all the characters and settings we love.
Sounds real stupid lol
@@axios4702 That would be the best. So we can still see Shep but they arent the protagonist. I would love a mentor or parent Shephard
My take is the quarian ark that went missing.
I honestly can't wait to come back here after the game comes out and see what theories are right and wrong.
This 100% won't happen, but I would love it if it did happen. When we start the next mass effect game, it lets us import our choices over the next three games. We then get to customise our Shepard or leave him/her as he/she looks.
Now here's where things get crazy. When we start up the game, we play as Shepard right after he/she got hit by Harbingers blast. Now I know what you're thinking, this sounds stupid, but it would be great for two reasons.
The first is that this way, the writers can not only change the ending of the game, as it was pretty controversial but fill in some missing blanks. For example, when we get up on the citadel we could meet captain Bailey and he fills us in on how the citadel got captured and what happened to the council.
The second, it would be a great send-off for Shepard and give us one last chance to play as him/her.
Of course, this will not happen but It would be pretty epic if it did.
I have a much one that make the most common sense with what is actually given in game prior to the teaser trailer. So starting off with the poster with the Geth imagery, what always stood out to me was that yes the crew walking up from the ship does look familiar from a distance but that is to be ambiguous, plus this new ship looks a lot more like the Tempus then the Normandy. If that is the Tempus, then clearly this is taking place in Andromeda. And it's stated in MEA that the Geth were already searching dark space and had data on the Andromeda galaxy (this where the Initiative got the tech to find the golden worlds.) It's also revealed that the Quarian Ark was the 5th ark launched to Andromeda (with a small population of Quarians, the ark also had Elcor, Hanar, Drell and Volus in cryo as well, and the ark was was made known in the epilogue after the main story. It it is also known that not all Geth are the same, maybe some chose to leave in search of the Old Machines (the Reapers) as the launch of the Ark takes place between ME2 and ME3, forming the Andromeda Initiative took place not long after ME1, it wouldn't be a hard stretch that the story of ME4 if the poster is anything to go by would be following the Quarian ark's rough arrival in Andromeda and who else are also there, the Geth (not the ones from ME3, but heretics who left the veil and where between galaxies during ME2 and ME3. They would seem as a threat to the know species as well as the Angara or any other Andromeda species we have yet to see. And if this is the direction it's going in what does this have to do with Shepard, personally I feel the Shepard story should stay done, but if pushed to shoehorned him/her into the next game, cryo on an ark to the new galaxy. Why do I say that? In MEA, Alec Ryder placed his terminal ill wife and mother of Ryder (the player) in cryo slow the illness until his AI (SAM) would cure her. If the Perfect Destroy ending is cannon, then Shepard is alive, but just barely. This might be the way he could survive into a 600+ year voyage into another galaxy (and why the love interest is reluctant to put the ship's memorial wall, they know he/she is still alive.
I honestly hope Shephard does not return. I love playing as Shephard, I love his romance with Tali/ her romance with Garrus. At the same time though, Bioware has said after Mass Effect 3 that Shepard's tale is over. The last thing I want to see is them stretch Shepard's story story out and ruin him. Find a new protagonist, build on Ryder's story since this game connected to Andromeda. Just leave Shephard out of it.
eh if only fandom could see your point ;(
I found really endearing the theory of playing as Shepard's daughter with Liara. It would canonize her romance in the original trilogy, yes, but I think that having an asari as the main leading character of this new phase of Mass Effect content would be a lot better than having another human protagonist. I still think Ryder could be in the game tho, maybe the game switches between missions in the Milky Way and missions in Andromeda (kinda like how Yakuza 0 did with the Kiryu and Majima storylines) and Shepard's daughter is the main lead in the Milky Way and Ryder is the main lead in Andromeda. This dynamic could work really well if they execute it properly.
@@MarceloZ2 I don’t think the fanbase would like one of the romances in the OG Trilogy canon because it would be chaos!!!
@@CLKiryu0331 Yeah, but at this point, with how the fanbase is setting themselves for a massive disappointment with endless theories of a alleged Shepard retturn that most likely won't happen, I almost want them to not like ME4 just out of spite.
Man I love this community so much like we’re all so excited for any theories or information about Mass Effect
I want Shepard and his crew back and the Leviathans back as the new enemy.
In the next game Shepard must face sovereign's half brother sluggard!
All endings can be cannon giving the time.
In the 600 years since they reached Andromeda, the whole Milkyway was synthesised by the ending or otherwise.
The teaser showed a broken Relay. In Control and Synthesis, the Reapers repair the Relays
@@SeverusHunt the relays get repaired in destroy too.
@@stickplistick3643 Not all. Some yes.
Codex ME1 says that modern known races have explored the Milky Way at 1% out of 100%. That is, 99% of the Galaxy has not been explored and there are many destroyed Relays. In Control and Synthesis, the Reapers will repair all the Galaxy Relays in 600 years. In Destroy, all the Reapers are dead and the races do not have enough time, resources, or knowledge to repair ALL Relays throughout the Galaxy
That is a mass relay not the Citadel cause
The circle rings overlap each other in a weird way if it was the Citadel.
6:43 "Actually the Citadel"? You mean the debris right? That big thing is definitely a mass relay!?
MrHulthen's right... It's look like a piece from the Citadel
Love your videos. Theories are what help keep are interest while we wait for the next game. And personally I find all the different theories are fun to play with and listen to. After looking at some of the other theories out there it's fun for me and my friends to debate and argue about and discuss while waiting for the next game Shepard or not. Again love your videos keep up the good job.
The dark energy plot would be awesome, having a secret race that can blow up stars be the main antagonist would be awesome. It would need to have awesome looking enemies, it has galactic stakes of survival, and a frantic way to either find or revive Shepard again, or logs or vids of how he saved the galaxy from the reapers. I think that would be a great game
Sheppards consciousness was uploaded to a geth drone. Thats my prediction on how they bring him back.
I feel they'll reintroduce the dark energy plotline in some way. I mean, Andromeda had the "Scourge" story that still left a plothole at the end of Andromeda.
I know that a lot of people don't like ME Andromeda but I loved it and I think a continuation of that, if done right could have great potential.
For example
1) They could create the first mass relay in Andromeda to connect to the Milkyway galaxy
2) The Angara where created, so maybe we could use that same technology to create other races 🤔 maybe create hybrids of two species or allow for cross species breeding 🤔 I for one have ALWAYS wanted to play as a hybrid player. Think of it 🤔
To be able to play as the The first male Asari, a human Krogan hybrid, a Turian Krogan hybrid ect, and having to save the galaxy while at the same time dealing with what you are.
3) Maybe we find more races in the Andromeda galaxy other than the Angara
4) So many questions where left unanswered in Andromeda that I would love to see answered. Like it or not Mass Effect Andromeda is a Mass Effect game and it shouldn't be just forgotten about. Shepherd is gone 😢 I while I loved Shepherd I'm ready to move on though I wouldn't be opposed them bringing Shepherd back 😊 Maybe even connecting the two galaxies and having Shepherd and Ryder team up 🤔
If the next game follows "the destroy" ending, then there won't be any Geth, as all synthetic life forms were destroyed. I'm not sure the other two options will be selected from me3. The result, is that the still you referenced, is more likely the aftermath of a battle, revisited years later; perhaps there is a geth repository of sorts that liara needs access to, in order to help rebuild the relays.
I don't think the destroy would mean the end of the geth. The Geth are program, its true that a lot of those program would be lost during the battle over Earth, but what is to say, that some program aren't still on server. The beam was meant to destroy synthetic life after all
RIP EDI
someone finally built that gun that shoots thresher maws and rises to galactic dominance.
Aliens attack human naval ships by kamikazying into them.
Humanity: you’ve yeed your last haw
I'd love to see Shepard return with long ass beard Kratos style
I think making Shepard child in the beginning of new game could be done like this: you can choose female or male bodytype and customise it or choose third option witch could be Liara daughter or human daughter/son from other Shepards relations with human part of the crew.
Why would the geth come back if the destroy ending is canon
Me and my gf personally believe it's a possibility that maybe the next main charecter is a thought to be dead Legion, thus the N7 armor he had.
🤔
@@MrNax360 That or maybe the armor could've just meant that Legion was to face the same role for synthetics as Shepard did organics.
Well if there's a giant Geth crater for a teaser it must mean something so my bet is about the Dark Energy theory, after all it had a few dialogs only during the ME2 mission on Haestrom and Tali Treason, and apart from that it felt like Bioware left it die. Maybe this will be the chance to get back that theory and maybe explain us how some Eretics Geths survived thanks to this Dark Energy and started again their purse of revenge against organic species
Dark Energy let's go!
@@MrHulthen but one thing is for sure. The more time passes the more our minds will come up with more and more theories
I think the concept art was on rannoch and those quarians and geth are bodies from the previous war between them that doesn't mean the geth or the quarians are extinct
Very possible that it's from the Reaper war :)
Shepard got his Hero's death, the ultimate sacrifice, bringing him back would destroy that..
I think Shepard backup consensus exist in the geth consensus after he visited that place, and they secretly back it up without anyone noticed it.
I didn't notice the dead quarians in the poster. Good eyes! Maybe the time Shepard spends in the geth consensus preserves their mind somehow...
I think I may be in the minority, but I would prefer a less galaxy-shaking threat (I.e. no Leviathan/Prothean). ME1 showed us a galaxy with a rich history. Humans are new on the scene. Now especially with Shepard, humans will have a more central role in galactic politics. Batarians are almost extinct due to a human's choice. It's not unreasonable to expect a snap-back, even if it's petulant. Anti-human terrorists. Possibly with support in the Council structure
if Shepard isnt protag anymore i'm all in for playing as a Mercenary. just wonder if they're keeping renegade and paragon thing or doing what they did with Andromeda.
@@dirtydan9153 What did they do with Andromeda exactly? 😂
I would love a prequel, and exploration of the first contact war vs the Turians with some possible tie ins to a young Sheppard either on Earth, or on a colony, or war hero history. It can be your choice. Similar to how we chose in ME1. The latter can even be attached via a DLC.
A prequel would easily tie in to the trilogy. We could play as Anderson. Get an in-depth look at his career, even his possible Spectre campaign with Saren. Anderson is voiced by Keith David. A renowned actor and epic voice actor. We could learn more about General Williams (Ashley's grandfather) and his efforts on Shanxi. We could learn about the biotic camps and jump zero. We could explore the Krogan dilemma and the Genophage. I mean there was so much history that preceded us right from the very start of ME1, imo a prequel is warranted, as well as abundant and fruitful.
I know I'm two years late but to get Shepherd to live in ME3 you don't need to completely max out the War Assets, you only need 7500 or more for the scene to trigger.
A resurgent Prothean empire idea sounds interesting we know they were imperialist and conquered most of the galaxy and there was pockets of survivors like on ilos and Javik so perhaps there's a bunker full of survivors on a remote planet is awakened by the crucible activation and seeing these young upstarts weakened by the Reapers decide to reestablish the empire.
And we know they had some more advanced technology than the current races and some tech reverse engineered from reaper tech like the Particle Rifle so they could even have their own version of indoctrination to create sleeper agents and possibly other sci-fi tech not seen in mass effect.
I don't see why reactivate the Mass Effect arch while Andromeda is still to complete.. I really like the Andromeda story, they should give a closure to it
I think the game will be about them bringing back the reapers to solve the dark matter issue. The destroy option is Canon. Maybe the council races attempted to load the reqper matrix into the geth to solve the problem, similar to the blue kr green ending shelard will become harbinger.
I think Sheppard is gonna come back as part Geth. I also think it's going to deal with the weird Aliens artifacts we saw in Andromeda. Good for Laira thou for not giving up on Sheppard.
I want to explore the Dark Matter Story combinate with the Jardaans a Species that is unknown b3cause the Game will have a cross over between the trilogy and andromeda
Here's another thought toward a Shepard/Liara love child. In ME1, when Shep and Liara first talk, she explains the Asari mating ritual and say an interesting line that I think has been overlooked. Or maybe I'm reading way to much into it. It was something about how the union transcends both space and time. Making me think she could save Shepard's DNA info until she was ready. Say 600 years or so in the future. Liara has 2 opportunities to acquire it, if you romance her throughout the game, 3 if you count the shadow Broker DLC which was more implied than an actual hook up. So... What say you Mr. H?
It doesn't have to be fully intimate either. I think it's likely that even if you don't romance her she might've gotten pregnant when she melded with Shepard during Priority: Earth.
@@the_corvid97 lol unprotected mind melding causing child
I would really want my FemShep back. I feel their story incomplete somehow. If we can trust the trailer for the new game, at least Liara is coming back and they better make her a squadmate or even better, a main protagonist. I would totally accept that if they don't bring Shepard back somehow. I liked Andromeda but Ryder needs more working on as a character if they think of squeezing the Milky Way & Andromeda together.
Here’s an idea for the shepherd child theory. What if they made shepherds child an orphan that would solve the issue of customisation/ not being able to have a child with another race.
Noice!
I like the liara coping The Commanders gens one.
I think Shepard could return but not as a playable character but is referenced as well. And can see the galaxy under threat from many groups taking advantage of the chaos after the relays are gone.
You rock man. Thank you for this entire channel!
Thank you for being here! 😁👊
Come to think of it, of all the various factions, the Salarians could be the cause of the new big bad.
They were left mostly untouched by the Reapers, their main fleet was the only one that didn’t go to fight in the finally (most likely unless you betrayed the Krogans).
They’re also the faction most weary of the Krogans rising to power. I could see a lot of bad blood between them and the other races now.
They could go overboard creating an army of super soldiers or synthetics that turn on everyone.
I wouldn't mind Sheppard coming back, but I feel they'd have to be a reluctant hero, maybe with PTSD. After all they won. They fought and died and thought their fight was over but then the galaxy asks them again to do the impossible.
I think the new villain will be the benefactor from the mass effect andromeda
So I know this could rub some people the wrong way, but why not start off the newest game at the last mission of Mass effect 3? That way you can reintroduce the endings in a way that makes more sense and is more satisfying. Combine that with some sort of time skip into the future and I think it could actually work. That's just my thoughts anyway. Good day people 😁
I actually covered something like this in a video not too long ago.

@@MrHulthen Oh really?? Nice! Going to check that out right now. Keep up the good work my friend.
Maybe this is the game where we'll finally get both Shephards to meet face to face in some sort of multiverse scenario.
So I have a theory about shepard. In mass effect 3 after recruiting the prothean and speaking to garrus he said something about being frozen and if shepard were frozen he/she go from decorated hero to Legend. Makes me ask the question “did bioware foreshadow what could’ve happened with shepard?
These are fun to speculate about but I want to see the galaxy 200 years in the future. Shepherd is the legendary hero and that’s it. Synthetic vs Organic has always been the main focus so I’m cool with that returning in some form. A civil war does sound cool but personally, I want to make my own hero again, fresh start. I’ve always wanted a game where you can choose your race. And that choice effects how the galaxy reacts to that hero. Also for replay-ability playing as a Turian, Krogan, Asari, Human or Salarian would be cool. This would give a great opportunity for different starting missions and different backgrounds like BioWare did with the original Dragon age.
I can totally see some sort of galactic civil war between certain races in the Milky Way galaxy. After the Reaper war, the whole galaxy would be vulnerable during it's recovery. Certain factions may try to take advantage and seize power. I also can see Destroy ending being canon (at least, I hope it is) if Shepard does indeed return even in a smaller role. I also wouldn't be surprised if Liara or maybe a new protagonist becomes the lead character in the next ME game.
My theory on what may happen, or atleast who you play as in the new Mass Effect.
As we all know, the Citadel and the Crucible are damaged but still relatively in one piece. As no matter whar ending you choose, the final spot when ME3 ends is there to be recovered. Now other than the destroy ending, which you showed here and many know, it seems Shepard survived. But for control and synthesis, Shepards body is basically uploaded into the Crucible. Which, in theory it can be downloaded back out.
So for our main protagonist, there are options. This gives the game developers the ability to make the new protagonist any race or sex. With the Citadel and Crucible in ruins, it would take heavy mechs to move large debris and the new protagonist would be piloting said mech. During the course of searching, you find evidence to Shepard or their survival (an active or lighted up console for Control or Synthesis endings). As the mech starts to back out and is back at some rally point where we find Liara and other crew members, someone asks the protagonist where are they from. What is their homeworld kinda things, things gives the players the option to choose a human colony or a different one, and that is their first line.
Now if the player wanted to be Shepard they would choose tobfollow how Shepard is recovered or revived based on the ME3 ending. So Shepard goes through their initial recovery and the player starts there.
Or if the player chooses the unknown Protagonist, then a squadmate makes a comment that they are either male/female based on the race they already chose. If this Protagonist is chosen, then they leave that situation and go to an armory or something and thats where you finally customize your character. If the player choses this character, then Shepard and maybe a select few others become like Hackett and are your new characters mentor/ commanding officer and so on.
Mass effect 2 is around 2185, the same year when the arks of andromeda went on their adventure. It is a possibility to see a cross over or communication with the two galaxies at some point. I know most fans didnt like what Andromeda dit but you have to see the trilogy and the MEA as two different stories in the same ME Universe
Story centers around the hunt for Shepard amidst rising galactic tensions, and recent mysterious geth sightings. Plot twist Shepard has become the antagonist and is responsible for the recent revival of the Geth.
Shepard is definitely the only option I’m looking for 🤣
Excellent ideas, especially with so little to go on!
shepard interfaced with the geth on rannoch with technoligy from project overlord. perhaps the geth made a copy or an imprint of sorts of shepards mind.
Mass effect theory what if liara finds Shepard's and is having him recover in life perceiving pod where she restores him back to health once some galaxy ending is going on obviously this I going with the destroy ending
Indeed, that would be the most obvious route to go
Or now listen it wild one what if they bring back shepard as the bad guy for like the control one make it so that every race secretly tried to take over the reapers once it over and idk accedenly put a virus and it would affect shepard and have him use the geth and sometimes the reapers as backup
Actually since the N7 armor piece was in snow, could Shepard have been Captain America'd in ice?
Im hoping its centered on liara and tali trying to reawaken the geth and joker joins them to save EDI and some of the others maybe even follow the dark energy plot... Shepard turns up as Admiral Shepard later non playable just giving assistance, maybe and npc on a mission.
The right hand side of the creator looks like a Husk face to me
OMG, Bring him back of course, how in this world or any other, could the #4 come to fruition without him/her or her/him. We must have them back, of course. I believe in the theory that we all must simply wait and see, after all what excitement would there be if we already knew the answer here. Hope to see you in the not too distant future. thanks for keeping us up to date
I 'd die to see some more yahg i kindda fell in love in the shadowbroker they look so different but fit in the me universe
Hope Shepard does return but as more of an Anderson role. We can play him a lil bit but he has to keep the peace among the new conflicts rising. This would help more with the son/daughter theory as even if you don't have a compatible partner you can just say the kid was adopted or is just an apprentice to Shepard. Would be cool.
Shepard is actually the head of the new N7 program, hopefully a lot older too and training the next generation
Probably the Geth made a "copy" of Shepard's psyche from the time that he entered the consensus.
So the Geth somehow found out about Shepard trying to destroy all synthetic life and somehow preserved themselves. They got pissed at the betrayal and the reaper code fragments probably corrupted them even further after
My thoughts are that the Quarian Ark was getting chased by Geth all the way to Andromeda! Then the Geth find the Architects and merge technology with them to conquer all organics!
it would take 600 yrs plus and im not sure how long geth can live for but i doubt its hat long + idk if theyd be able to freeze themselves
It's official shepard will return his VI surived the destruction of the citadel and has now taken over the alliance 😂
Shepards kid with certain love interest wakes up from cryo or Liara extracted the dna to make Shepards kid are both very interesting to me. I like the ideas
I hope that we get to choose out mass effect 3 ending. Maybe the first couple of missions could be completely unique to the ending. Then eventually those mission will lead you on the right track in which all endings will start to follow.
