She’s an Aussie. She needs a job. Her job is now controlling that door stop.
she needs a job is right. this is only cute for awhile. Get her to a dog park and let her herd the other dogs. If you have the room set up an agility course in the backyard.
@@weebeedesigns. A friend of mine was a traveling salesman who took his border collie, Maxwell, with him for several years. He didn’t stay at any one store for long. He retired last May and Maxwell did NOT adjust to the new situation. He insists on going to check on the car and wants to sleep in it, just as he did while my friend worked. He wakes up during the night and barks until he checks on the car. My friend hasn’t been able to find something to substitute for “the work” Maxwell did. His yard is tiny. If you have any suggestions, let me know!
Our mini Aussie girl, Angel, rarely ever barked. She would get hyper-focused on the laser pointer we used to play with the cat, though. The only way to get her to stop was to shine in onto the ceiling and make it disappear into the ceiling register. When we said goodbye to her a few months ago, she was ready to go. She lived almost 17 years, which is a good, long, life for a little dog.
She needs to be on a farm!
She definitely needs some cows . Got a border Collie from the pound that was too hyper , turned out people had a apartment and worked all day . Soon as I got her settled in with the cows she was dead calm . But I never could keep her in the house ,
Admit it. You can’t walk by that doorstop without kicking it so it goes twang either, can you?
😂😂😂
Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do! Even if it’s a TWANG!
Pardon me, but I'm positive the correct description of the sound is, "Doyngggg." At least that was my impression when our sweet, beloved Husky-Shar Pei mix did it over and over and over and over again. I'd so love to hear it again.
😂😂😂
She needs exercise! She’s a breed that will act crazy if that cannot do what they are breed to do!!!!that’s not cute that’s anxiety
when you took the door stopper away, all the joy in Farley life drained away..
It could be worse... he could be chewing up your whole house instead of playing with the doorstopper.😉
That made me so sad!
Farley's eyes are so incredible. I would be putting door stoppers all over my home if any of my dogs loved them as much as Farley. Shalom
Not for long😂
You’d be removing them after a week or so.
@@u4riahscNah, I have built a lot of different things for our animals. For there fun & my fun in watching them. Shalom
@@politicsuncensored5617 OH - what other fun things have you built, my dog might want me to participate in some construction.
@@u4riahscWe live in a very large home with doors everywhere. It also connects to a large enclosed swimming pool in the back of the house. I had two hound dogs & a Bichon years ago. At night I would turn our home into a maze, turning off the main lights. Leaving a candle or two burning or dim night lights. The hound dogs were natural hunters and loved hunting for me. Even the little Bichon got into it and often would lead the hounds trying to find me. I only did this when my wife was away as I rearranged of lot throughout our home. I also built what my wife calls a Kitty Condo in one of the spare BRs for our 2 cats. Again it was a maze type setup that basically filled the entire BR.
My friend's baby literally did nearly the same thing years ago.
He would bong on that thing and giggle for an hour at a time.
Eventually his dad made him one mounted on a little piece of wood to carry with him.
This confirms my theory that dogs are perpetual 3 y/o kids. I thought spring doorstops were hilarious when I was 3. Dogs are fun!
They ask us for so little. Thank you for making her happy again !
I absolutely love how dogs can be so smart and so dumb at the same time!! It makes them extra adorable!
Awww, I’m glad you put it back for her 😊❤
No matter how much we love them, sometimes we all need a little break.
I recently saw a video and the person had made a DIY toy for her dog. It was a large square board with about 20 of these door stops attached to it. Her dog would go crazy twanging them!.. I have to make one for my dogs!
Simple pleasures. That was too cute and too funny. Farley's face is so expressive.
What a beautiful dog. She didn’t miss a step jumping back into playing with her special toy. Very sweet
her little breaths at the end 🥲
I remember having all my dolls taken from me as a child - I stored them all under my bed and when I came home from school to play with them they were all gone. It was heartbreaking and I never said anything to anyone (toxic family system). But it remains a trauma wound. Please don’t take toys away.
Sad for that memory
Yes, when i was 9, my awful mother burned ALL my horse
photos & articles while i was at school... i never forgave her.
Aussies are obsessive. I’ve lived with up to 5 at a time.
When we moved from Canada to the USA my parents took my beloved cat to the humane society because it would otherwise have to stay at the border for a few months. I became very depressed over it. That was a long time ago but I could still cry about it even now. Pets are so very special!
@@joyfullone3968 would they have had to pay for the quarantine?
She's a good girl and when you took her toy away she was a little confused and I would say she was a little heartbroken too. When she gets it back she's ready to go ahead with her job conquering and controlling the doorstop. Lol. She's a beautiful dog.
Let's be honest, we all need our Door Stops!!!!!!
I Absolutely love these dogs, just recently lost ours to epilepsy and I am having severe anxiety dealing with the loss of our Rusty (BorderAussie), RIP little buddy. He was only 3 1/2 years old. I'm totally heartbroken.
So sorry on the loss of Rusty It's tough being an owner.
So sorry for the loss of your special friend. Way too young.
Our golden retriever puppy used to lay in front of one our door stops and just “ twang “ the darn thing by the hours, she loved that thing!💖🐾. I missed her after she crossed the rainbow bridge years later. 😢💔🐾
So so adorable. I truly giggled out loud!!
Farley is ridiculously cute and has mischief in her eyes. 👍🏻
This dog is just too precious.
It may stop doors, but it will NEVER stop Farley!!🤣🤣
She is so adorable
Adorable! In so many ways this brightened my day! Thank you!❤
The bark outloud pondering is real
Oh bless her ,she doesn't understand
I made the mistake of showing my Blue Heeler pup the doorstop one time. That dog actually had a job moving cows but was still obsessed with the doorstop. We eventually removed all the spring doorstops in the house and replaced them with solid shaft doorstops. He missed it for a couple days and then got on with the rest of his life. If we were visiting someone with spring doorstops, he would find one and get it going. He never lost that OCD behavior. We just removed the trigger.
If you are OK with the constant racket, then it's not a problem in your house, as long as the dog doesn't become destructive with the behavior.
Farley is one adorable dog. Soooo cute.❤
I have those stoppers all over my house. I used to have a cat who loved them. I'd be in bed upstairs and I'd hear repeated "spong" noises from the main floor until I fell asleep. In the morning, I would find that some of the rubber tips would be missing. Sometimes, I'd find them, sometimes not. It got to the point where none of the stoppers had tips anymore, although the kitty would still play with them. "Spong" continued. The missing tips would show up from time to time in typical places -- under the couch, under or behind the refrigerator, etc. Fond memories of a great kitty that passed away years ago. None of the kitties I've had since then showed any interest in the door stops.
I took had a sweet baby kitty girl that would reach u der the door and fling it if I were in the bathroom without her or taking too long in there. She would also turn off the bathroom light while I was trying to get ready in the mornings. Oh how I miss my sweet angel!
2 of my genius kitties, (consecutive kits not alive at the same time,) worked the spring doorstop in my spare room when I accidentally shut them in there. I nearly died laughing & snuggling with them.
They have another video where they built him a box with 25 door stops on it and he loved it and that way they could put the box in another room so it wasn't so loud...everyone was happy!!!
Delighted she got it back ❤
What a GORGEOUS dog! Mind you, they all are. 😀😆💕
Not all dogs are gorgeous some are quite vicious in fact.
@@michaelmcgee335 Oh for the most part they're gorgeous. If they're vicious that's probably their owners' fault.
@@michaelmcgee335 Even vicious dogs can be visually gorgeous. And a Vicious dog was trained to be that way by its owner.
I love to watch her barking at the door stopper. She has the most adorable smile.
Farley is beautiful ❤❤❤
She's adorable. But, yes, I can see how sometimes this could be just a bit too much. LOL
Awwww poor baby. It was so much FUN!
Hilarious ! No need to have expensive toys for Farley. Imagine if you have door stoppers in every
room! Never a dull moment with Farley and door stoppers !
Imagine living in a flat 😂
Priceless. And what a face!
I've had Aussies for over 32 years and they all have the most amazing personalities. Cool trick to get a dog to stop barking is to train them to bark and then train them not to with the shush. Cuz the training them to bark they recognize what you're asking them to stop doing it's not the playing it's just the barking she can play with it without vocalizing if you work on it. Especially if they won't leave it for another toy because that's their favorite😂😅
What good advice. I would not want to be a kill joy but the loud barking would drive me crazy.
@@stephanielardner9150 LOL me too I can deal with it for a little while but after a minute my brain starts to melt and I need the woosah quiet of course I have more than just one so when they start barking chaos comes quick LOL
I love that dirty look she gives you! "How could you betray me this way?"😆
I bet she'd enjoy at least one nice, long walk outside each day, better! Lots of smells to work out and things to see, adventures to be had. 😊
I love her!
How did I miss this for all this time??? Priceless! Our dog used to do this with the door stopper (minus the barking). Good memories.
Give that doorstop back to her. She was having so much fun.
Aussies are so funny and so very Intelligent .
We used to have a Australian shepherd/border collie. He (Claude) used to twang it when he wanted outside.
Oh the disappointment on the beautiful face😮
Poor Farley! I felt so bad for him! 😢
Farley is way too adorable!
Wonder how she would react to a Slinky! What a precious dog. We lost our blue merle mini about a year and a half ago, and we miss her every day. Such a fun breed.
I don't know what Farley thinks, but I would move that mirror. Just in case Farley gets a little too joyful.
Boy, I was as devastated as she was. 😿But, boy, oh, boy, that so happy smile. Beautiful ❤
Thank god Farley got her door stopper back 😅
The level of self control it took to stop for those good few seconds was impressive as hell XD I could see it in her eyes.
Sheesh, you must have the patience of a saint! I couldn't stand that constant racket
Just Priceless!!!😂😂😂😅😅😅❤😊😊
Please give her back her toy!😂😂 She's so beautiful!!❤
Farley is adorable.
Leave the alone. She's happy playing with the door stopper.
Oh this just slayed me! Poor Mom! She just needed silence. Farley just wanted to conquer the world. Surely there is a solution out there. You’re a wonderful puppy Momma.
Awwwww…..that look 😂
What a cute, beautiful pup 🐕
In the end, isn’t this what every pet owner would do; bring them joy?
Oh, what a sweetheart! I'm sitting here tearing up a bit because I remember losing my favorite toy at the airport as a child...and, well, I'd be the dog dad that installed five more door stoppers just to spoil my doggo pal.
Soo refreshing to watch 😂
My border collie was obsessed with the door stopper too. I dontbknow of he wanted to play with it or kill it though. He never growled or snarled, just barked like crazy.
We have an Aussie and she has so much personality. She rules the other 2 small dogs in the house and loves cleaning their ears.
What a cute angel!
Farley is adorable!
Favorite toy? To me, it looks more like something that bothers her, and yet she can't live without it!
Lol shes like "YAY!"
Awe, is I feel sorry for her. ❤️
She's mad and beautiful.
She is so cute. You took it away from her so long that she forgot how to flip it. Aussies are the best
Aww he’s so adorable. 🥰 Simple pleasures…
Farley is a sweetheart even with this little behavior aberration.
Awwwww that is too cute! I felt so bad for him when the door stop was taken away!! 😂😂
I've seen another video with this same dog in it. Not long after this, her human made her aboard covered in the door springs. She absolutely adores it. LOL 😆 ❤
Absolutely adorable gorgeous dog ❤❤❤
She is a baby doll, I never get a dog smarter than me, those herding dogs are deep thinkers!😀
someone needs to make a toy like that. probably sell a million of them.
Your neighbours must love you and your yapping dog!
My dog had the same reaction to a toy car. Nothing else ever got her excited but this car.
Omg so funny she was so happy to get it back 😂
Farley said I’m soooo happy with my toy…You? Not so much. 😂😂😂
She’s so precious! 😂😂🥺🥺🥰 I felt bad when it was taken away though lol.
I used to have a dog like that. THEY LOVE TO PLAY!!!
OH BOY, YOU SHOULD MAKE A BOARD WITH A WHOLE BUNCH OF THOSE ATTACHED EVERY FEW INCHES! TALK ABOUT FARLEY HEAVEN!
great minds think alike 😉 you should see some of our other videos and what we ended up building for her!
That's one crazy dog. Of all the toys he could have fallen in love with...As they say, "love is blind," and so is Farley. I bet the owner got this deluxe doorstopper at a reasonable price.
She loves her toy
omg he is soooo excited about the door stopper i love it!!!
my black lab did the same for a couple of months, then thankfully he grew out of it. Farley is so cute.
Firstly what a beautiful dog, she given you the side eye look, so funny but so cute too!💕🥰
Why are crushing my joy? 😂
I know that look! We have a HuskyAussie mix. The door stopper was the most fun.
You know, because they don’t have enough toys, enough attention, probably hungry again too 😂
Farley is one obsessive pooch......love Aussies
Ohmygosh! Poor Farley! ❤❤❤😂😂😂
What a gal! Just love her!
She's adorable. ♥
Oh Farley - life has no meaning without "Door Stopper! ...lolol
Cheap simple things make great toys
