- Barbara Wojnarowska was saved from the hell of the Warsaw Uprising only to land in hell on earth.
Auschwitz.
As a little girl Barbara fell into the hands of the so-called 'Angel of Death' Dr Josef Mengele. A warped, sadistic crusader for the Nazi's racial insanity, Mengele subjected his victims to cruel and pointless experiments.
Barbara was one of the children he choose to torture.
In the 100th episode of Heart of Poland, Barbara talks for the first time in English about her experience of being torn away from her family at the ramps of Auschwitz.
She talks about how Auschwitz has traumatised her entire lift and cast a shadow over her family ever since.
Despite this, she reveals the courage, grit and bravery that saw her emerge from the trauma and become a passionate crusader for human rights as a lawyer with the United Nations.

Today many people seem to be complaining about Covid19 lockdowns, wearing masks, isolation, not being able to travel and party, but they don't seem to appreciate the little and simple things in life. Like the fact that they have a roof over their heads, plenty of food, clean water, time to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoors, movies, tv shows, books, crafts, cooking, zoom family meetings and so on... Really people, please stop complaining about this pandemic, and appreciate what you have. Save lives, stay home, and be respectful towards others... & remember, with time this too shall pass! 🌹❤🌹⛅🌞

Brave beautiful lady her testimony is heartbreaking
ALL stories of the Holocaust must be told over and over and over again. WE must never ever forget . Life is given by God..Man should NOT take another's life for being "different." As history repeats..these horrors are beginning again in the USA. Beware! God be with this sweet woman as she has endured hell here on this earth.

A to dlatego, że holenderski Jeugdzorg, nie posiada i nigdy nie posiadał polskich placówek, ani polskich rodzin zastępczych, ale zabiera polskie i polskojęzyczne dzieci i co bardzo ważne, przeważnie bardzo małe dzieci i daje sobie prawo, do umieszczania i ich w holenderskich, więc w niderlandzkich, a co za tym idzie w niderlandzkojęzycznych placówkach i niderlandzkich rodzinach zastępczych, przy czym w ogóle, nie informuje o tym fakcie polskich rodziców!

All 'survivor' testimonies should be taken with a grain of salt. Why? Because some of them "remember" seeing things that were not technologically possible in the 1940's and aren't possible today- like 6,000 people being killed and cremated in one day.
