i don't really understand why people associate dying ur hair or doing the things u love to being unprofessional, like seriously does all medical student have to look tired and careless about their looks to look professional for u?

In New Zealand if you have a problem with dyed hair, tattoos, and piercings it's considered discrimination especially under healthcare settings cuz it's a part of non-discrimination policies. I worked in a few hospitals and clinics, we have health professionals with different bright coloured hair, piercings and tattoos. Some establishments are a bit strict but it depends
its really sad how having our natural hair is the “professional” way im society. dyeing our hair doesnt affect work in any way :( smh,,
I think when the generations start to change it will be more accepted because the people who are against hair dye will be replaced with people who want to dye their hair
I agree, it bothers me so much. I'd love to do more unnatural things to my hair but my entire family thinks of it as something only the outcasts of society or weird people do, same for tattoos. People literally look at you as if you're something gross. How hard is it to understand that natural hair or not, it doesn't define if someone can do their job or is a good person.

worked in a beauty brand, as a store manager, which promotes fresh and natural products and their standard don't even allow light hair color. They also have fresh makeup standard when THEY EVEN SELL COLORFUL EYESHADOWS 😅 I understand their branding and how it's important for us to follow it but... they sometimes over-react to not so blonde hair hehe
