The robe could not have been given by the men to Jay as bedding as it was the the same coverlet for the beds in the rooms of the boys in Los Christianos as evidenced by earlier photos so how did it get into the mountains. On other sites, there are suggestions he was missing earlier and Lucy took the phone up with the villa men and placed the phone in that location. There were suggestions the floor of the villa opened to a cellar area. It was the mother who suggested he was taken and held hostage not armchair sleuths. Others said his body would be placed there during the final. The dad is seen dancing in a rave two days earlier on a video. The mother and father dont search or look like their son is missing. The mother gets her nails done rather than search and is seen dancing on day 9. Tom Hilton is seen dancing in a rave on another video. The mother's half sister set up a GFM page for her missing daughter called Josephine who wasn't actually missing. So two GFM pages for that family. This is a copy cat of Michael Mosely almost to the letter about missing buses and going up mountains the wrong be way etc' so we are led to believe he is dead. In Tenerife they say they have found remains of a body but remains of someone having been in that location. Other sites say Jay is alive in a flat in Mallorca under a different identity. The TV show was rigged. Not that I know much else about him l, but I suspect he may be "dumbing down" for the internet. I find it odd that he was found in the very area that has been scoured by Spanish police rescue squad, volunteers, etc., for four weeks and yet he's only discovered today, exactly a month after vanishing.
Have you ever been to Tenerife !!!!! it is volcanic rock and shrubs hard to see anything and he was found down a steep gully that would be hard to see into if you just walked past, the only ones that are sure footed on that kind of terrain are the goats that live there, I wish people would think before they write such twodel, it is not England, and our police can't even find a body missing for sometime, searching for bodies is not easy in any part of the world..Please think of Jay's family at this time, you have to have been in their position to understand what they have been going through, unfortunately I have and it took 23 years for parts of my son's body to be found and for us to know what happened to him, like Jay he made a wrong decision, he went climbing a mountain on his own not telling anyone where he was climbing and we were told the same thing as Jay, he must have had an accident or fell all that was found of my son was a pair of climbing boots with a foot in one and it was the DNA given by his brother that identified him , the rest of him is still buried in snow and ice on the mountain, so please remember that behind all these news headlines is a human being.
It was not the Dutch team that found him, they’d not started. Itv was the Spanish police. They were motivated to have another look because they wanted avoid being discredited.

Sorry this young man died regardless of who he was. But questions should be asked. Why would a 19 year old get in a car with 2 men twice his age to travel to the north of the island? Why didn't he stay with his friends? Why didn't his friends ask him why he was going such a long distance with 2 strangers with a criminal past? What's the story about a rolex watch? Why did this young guy tell his friend Lucy he had lost his bag and as a result he was very afraid? What was in the bag? Why were his clothes near the body? Are those the clothes he was wearing? Or clothes he brought to change into during his holiday? If so...what was he doing with his travelling bag going up north? Yes, Jay's actions and poor decisions may have brought about his own demise, but everyone in law enforcement agrees that it's strange for a 20-year-old to be spending time with 40-year-old drug dealers he barely knows unless there's something else going on. And there's still no explanation as to why he would be in such a hurry to leave the Airbnb and intentionally go in the opposite direction and choose dirt paths over staying on the road where someone could see him. I don't think he wanted to be seen and I think he was in a hurry to leave. So let's be honest here, because it's more than just a kid who got drunk out of his mind in Tenerife and got lost on a walk. Yes, he may have fallen, but what choices did he make in the Airbnb that caused him to be in that situation in the first place??

If animals haven't moved his remains about , it's very common if experiencing hypothermia to remove all your clothing in the final stages . As despite being very cold your mind and body tricks you into feeling very hot.

Apparently he stole a Rolex from some Eastern European guy and was trying to sell it. He was with the two other guys trying to sell it, however the two others were told by the Rolex owner that if they wanted to keep their teeth and toes - they should bring him Jay. When Jay got to the Airbnb, he must’ve overheard the guy calling the Rolex owner. Jay left the Airbnb and didn’t want to risk waiting for a bus. But it’s all speculation.

Tenerife is extremely corrupt and is crawling with gangsters, even the police are paid off. Why keep wheeling Peter Bleksley on to talk about this case. From the beginning everyone was in the dark as to what had happened. All Mr. Bleksley has ever been able to do is repeat what has already been reported in the news and say it's all mysterious. It's less mysterious now that the remains have been found but until the forensic work has been completed, there's nothing more to say.

However, Spanish police are extremely professional and they researched that same area weeks ago with drones and dogs, an area they know well, and nothing... but he is found now! That is weird... I don't particularly want to fuel any more fires. If he's shown to have fallen, fair enough. But they can't have a go at people making best guesses, based on the info, as to what may have happened. Undercurrent of substance trading, people with criminal pasts, a young lad that goes off from his friends into the mountains, apparently gets scared and wanders off, friends that happen to confirm 2 main aspects (he'd left the b and b and his feet sounded like they were slipping) and he disappears. Then he's not found in the most likely place but then is a month later and apparently not that far away from Masca. Almost everybody looking at that situation has suspected foul play. I'd be interested to know the location of the nearest road or path to where they found him.

Downtherapids on UA-cam hiked that route and couldn't humanly access where the phone last pinged. It was thrown in. He probably died from what happened on the beach and everything after that was just a plot to cover his death to make it look like an accident.
his phone pinged last not far from a revine which takes you down to the sea, You can see the sea from the top of the revine. I have always said he went that way to get back to his friends as he didnt want to wait 2 hours for the first bus. If he fell done the revine even a short way there are fisures and shelves and broken land he could have fallen into it without anyone seeing him. I expect suddenly they found his small bag and phone then sadly his remains. the doctor they found a few weeks ago people walked past his body everyday for a week before anyone noticed him. no mystery. I am so so glad they have hopefully found him, so all the awful comments can stop and his poor family be allowed to grieve for their loving son. BLESS YOU JAY REST IN PEACE YOUNG MAN. x

Sadly if this is theyoung man he made the same mistake as Dr Michael Moseley not finding out about the terrain and going prepared. The same happens over here when people decide to go walking up placed such as Snowden in there shorts, tee-shirt and sandals they don't understand that the weather can change in minutes, the clouds come down low it gets cold and visibility poor, they keep walking get lost or fall over the edge. People need to be careful check things out with the local information or people and go prepared. When you are in a hot country you need to make sure you have plenty of water and don't go wandering in places that are difficult to traverse or unfamiliar.

Err... Today is the 15th and he was reported missing on the 17th... so it's not s month today. Only saying that if this expert dude being interviewed is getting something like this wrong, what else is he getting wrong. On a personal note, I find it very coincidental that the moment the expert search teams arrived, the Spanish teams finally found him. Just because he's been found now in that location, doesn't mean he's been there all along does it.
This latest news was a total suprise to me. When he wasn't found in a couple of weeks i doubted he even went to the Airbnb. It was not the Dutch team that found him, they’d not started. Itv was the Spanish police. They were motivated to have another look because they wanted avoid being discredited.

Why didn't he stay with his friends? Why didn't his friends ask him why he was going such a long distance with 2 strangers with a criminal past? What's the story about a rolex watch? Why did this young guy tell his friend Lucy he had lost his bag and as a result he was very afraid? What was in the bag? Why were his clothes near the body? Are those the clothes he was wearing? Yes, Jay's actions and poor decisions may have brought about his own demise, but everyone in law enforcement agrees that it's strange for a 20-year-old to be spending time with 40-year-old drug dealers he barely knows unless there's something else going on. And there's still no explanation as to why he would be in such a hurry to leave the Airbnb and intentionally go in the opposite direction and choose dirt paths over staying on the road where someone could see him. I don't think he wanted to be seen and I think he was in a hurry to leave. So let's be honest here, because it's more than just a kid who got drunk out of his mind in Tenerife and got lost on a walk. Yes, he may have fallen, but what choices did he make in the Airbnb that caused him to be in that situation in the first place??

Apparently he stole a Rolex from some Eastern European guy and was trying to sell it. He was with the two other guys trying to sell it, however the two others were told by the Rolex owner that if they wanted to keep their teeth and toes - they should bring him Jay.
When Jay got to the Airbnb, he must’ve overheard the guy calling the Rolex owner. Jay left the Airbnb and didn’t want to risk waiting for a bus.
But it’s all speculation.

Why keep wheeling Peter Bleksley on to talk about this case. From the beginning everyone was in the dark as to what had happened. All Mr. Bleksley has ever been able to do is repeat what has already been reported in the news and say it's all mysterious. It's less mysterious now that the remains have been found but until the forensic work has been completed, there's nothing more to say.
I am glad they found him. However, Spanish police are extremely professional and they researched that same area weeks ago with drones and dogs, an area they know well, and nothing... but he is found now! That is weird...
I think he was fleeing the Airbnb. Why? How log has he been un the ravine? 4 weeks? 4 days?
May never know, his family will be advised not to see him so.....
I don't particularly want to fuel any more fires. If he's shown to have fallen, fair enough. But they can't have a go at people making best guesses, based on the info, as to what may have happened. Undercurrent of substance trading, people with criminal pasts, a young lad that goes off from his friends into the mountains, apparently gets scared and wanders off, friends that happen to confirm 2 main aspects (he'd left the b and b and his feet sounded like they were slipping) and he disappears. Then he's not found in the most likely place but then is a month later and apparently not that far away from Masca. Almost everybody looking at that situation has suspected foul play. I'd be interested to know the location of the nearest road or path to where they found him.
It’s not weird. Searching a mountainous area full of cacti and other hazards is not straight forward at all.

Downtherapids on UA-cam hiked that route and couldn't humanly access where the phone last pinged. It was thrown in. He probably died from what happened on the beach and everything after that was just a plot to cover his death to make it look like an accident.

Is it really that odd? It took them a week to find Michael Mosley and he was next to a public beach
his phone pinged last not far from a revine which takes you down to the sea, You can see the sea from the top of the revine. I have always said he went that way to get back to his friends as he didnt want to wait 2 hours for the first bus. If he fell done the revine even a short way there are fisures and shelves and broken land he could have fallen into it without anyone seeing him. I expect suddenly they found his small bag and phone then sadly his remains. the doctor they found a few weeks ago people walked past his body everyday for a week before anyone noticed him. no mystery. I am so so glad they have hopefully found him, so all the awful comments can stop and his poor family be allowed to grieve for their loving son. BLESS YOU JAY REST IN PEACE YOUNG MAN. x

Sadly if this is theyoung man he made the same mistake as Dr Michael Moseley not finding out about the terrain and going prepared.
The same happens over here when people decide to go walking up placed such as Snowden in there shorts, tee-shirt and sandals they don't understand that the weather can change in minutes, the clouds come down low it gets cold and visibility poor, they keep walking get lost or fall over the edge.
People need to be careful check things out with the local information or people and go prepared.
When you are in a hot country you need to make sure you have plenty of water and don't go wandering in places that are difficult to traverse or unfamiliar.

Err... Today is the 15th and he was reported missing on the 17th... so it's not s month today. Only saying that if this expert dude being interviewed is getting something like this wrong, what else is he getting wrong.
On a personal note, I find it very coincidental that the moment the expert search teams arrived, the Spanish teams finally found him.
Just because he's been found now in that location, doesn't mean he's been there all along does it.

This latest news was a total suprise to me. When he wasn't found in a couple of weeks i doubted he even went to the Airbnb. Looking at that terrain it's slightly easier to see why he wasn't found but the case is still very odd. Why would he take that mountain route instead of sticking to the road or waiting for the bus.
