I feel kind of stupid now that I didn't think of it myself. One little thing you said made all the difference to my work which I haven't got from any other speed ramping video. If you have a whole project not just one file, which I always do "move it to another layer" so it doesn't cut off any other clip. It just makes it so much easier than nesting the clip first. Thank you.
I always avoid watching tutorials because they always feel like they take forever to explain how to do the thing I'm looking for. This one was quick and to the point and as a filmmaker with a cripplingly short attention span I appreciate that.
THE BEST VIDEO I HAVE SEEN ON SPEED RAMPING. Shortest, most helpful, and absolutely understandable. Matched exactly what was happening on my screen!!!! Thank you.
Great video. Someone knows how to show exactly what to do and so quickly and easily. Just the information needed to make you feel like a pro So well done. Thanks.
@@AloofNerd Yes I actually found out if after you right click change to time remapping > speed. If you hover the mouse a little bit above the middle line it should appear. Sorry if that was confusing hahaha
Bug in time remapping in ppro 2020. If you are using interpreted footage ( ie slow motion footage) and cuda acceleration don't be surprised if your playback is borked
Thanks for that. Question, how do you know how much to slow it down so it won't look choppy? If say I have a 240fps on a 60fps time line I can modify the video to 60 then I'll have the perfect slowmo but with the time remapping, or even the Speed/Duration where it is with percentage, how do you know?
Hi there. 1 thing I don't understand. Normally the rule would say if you have a 60 FPS film you can slow down 50% to keep it smooth. In your footage i see the video = 24 FPS. Slowing that down would say that it will stop being smooth. What happened here? Why is the video still smooth?
Anyone knows why we cant use any other keyframeed setting after speedramp? Oopacity/scale/postition, none of these works after applying speed ramp on a clip, only solution to nest it , BUT than you won't be able to adjust the speed ramp again correctly, in the main comp. Is this really that hard to resolve?
0:57 False. You cannot keyframe it like i would any other parameter, it doesn't work. The 100% is grayed out on mine, and on your screen. You can't set a keyframe and change the speed % for it like you can with the other parameters. I can go to velocity (under speed control), and change that, it changes the speed %, but appears to only be able to slow a clip down, not speed it up. Cannot surpass 100%. I don't care about changing the speed ramping speeds, i just want a speed "fade out".
Good, short and well explained. That’s how a tutorial should be! Thank you
My pleasure! Short and simple yet informative is what I try to make - thank you for watching and leaving feedback! :)
Excellent tutorial, no time wasting, just neat, clean facts and practical use. Thank you for getting this tutorial spot on!

Very precise - short and sweet .. NOT a time waster!
How about the sound ? I can't make it follow the slow down of the video frames.
Very to the point and very helpful. thank you for posting and being so precise.
So helpful! I make fortnite montages, and I recently switched to premiere pro, and this really started me off with velocity. Tysm

easy and quick ... :)
This video was pretty damned helpful, without being too damned long. Thanks!
the option at 1:46 doesn't work for me. Do you know why it would be doing that?
I also don't have this option, does any one know why?
@@Luckydup21 It hasn't worked since updating to premiere pro 2020 for me
@@CTHennebry so it's 2020's fault I am assuming 😂😂😂

Do you have any idea why my slider bar won't move?
thank you! i remember vegas video has something similar so this helps. i think that this still doesn't slow down the audio tho, right?
Thank you! You save my life 😤
Nice tutorial! We all love that speed ramp :) Also make sure you have enough frames to do the speed ramp lol
Packed Review Thanks!
What about the audio not matching? You failed to explain this to everyone after

well explained, thx !

How can you move the keyframe left or right without splitting????
is there no a shortcut to speed ramping in Premiere? apart from right clicking... cos you can easily do it in Final Cut Pro
99% sure right clicking is the fastest way to access it, unfortunately.
Thanks for the video, but I cannot click on the line to alter the speed. Any ideas why it's not working?
same here
Like number 900 P O G
how do you get the Fx icon to appear on the clip?
I can’t preview my speed ramp. I have to render it first. Any thoughts? New update problem.
It looks like it’s happening to everyone. For now the only workaround appears to be rendering it - I hope they fix it soon.
is there a certain fps this looks best in or can you do this in 24 or 30 fps
just what im looking for...
