    Thank you for this video, Jimmy! I've been considering an easy solution for interviews for my UA-cam and this seems perfect! Seems better than the Go wireless II!

      Yes, much better in many ways, more custom features for input gains than the all 'auto' Go Wireless II. About the same price and I love this more.

      @@Red35Photography Do you think this could work as a stereo iem system with the right adapters
      (In reverse to design) I can plug my stereo source into each transmitter?
      Then use the canes 3.5 output as a headphones output?

    Not bad. Think I would go with the pico mic

    Interesting video thank mate, you could get one of those tiny USB-C to micro USB adapters to fit one of your existingcables. that wouldn't take up much space in y our bag. Chers, Leigh

    Hey Jimmy, thanks a lot for this video. I didn't knew about this brand at all. Looks like a system worth checking. I'm also surprised why micro-USB and not USB-c, but if they provide an external charger for the batteries is not a big issue.

    If I use the stereo mode of the U5, I have a small whistle sound, really small, you cannot hear it, when somebody speaks, but I ask me why?

    Just came back to listen to this again, and it still sounds muffled to my ears. Not sure if it's an EQ thing or just a lack of high frequencies.

    • @Red35Photography
      @Red35Photography  3 роки тому

      It's the EQ but that's how I prefer it when I record in my house, if I boost the highs too much, the hiss from my other electrical appliances will be heard, and not very nice. I had to subdue it a bit, also it will also exaggerate the echo too since I don't have any sound deadening around my kitchen.

      @@Red35Photography Okay, that explains it. I've found that iZotope's RX8 software does a GREAT job at cleaning up noise from recordings, and can easily get rid of buzzing, humming, and even traffic noise when necessary. I use it on practically everything, especially the "voice denoise" plugin. The default settings usually work great. Also, most sound engineers recommend to cut frequencies rather than boosting any. Supposedly, that makes a cleaner result. I will generally do a little of both.

    For a similar price I got a dual wireless mic system from Comica, which is pretty good, too. And it has smaller transmitters. No changeable battery, though.

      @Red35Photography  3 роки тому +1

      Yes, if you can use 3.5mm cable but you can get adaptors for both iPhone and Androids these days, so yes :)

    I've just bought some wireless Rode Go II from that river in South America with its own website.
    Would you say it was worth considering sending the Rode kit back, unused, and giving your wireless mics some love?

    • @Red35Photography
      @Red35Photography  3 роки тому

      Wireless go II is good and easy to use. This is more an entry pro system and for sheer audio quality, I think it’s better than Rode. Though you need a little time to play around to get the most from it. Like shooting RAW photos and processing the file after. Also check the gains before recording as each camera is different.
