@@Borodin410his back checking awareness has improved a lot. He realized a second too late he had to back check harder on the first goal. Good thing is he cares.
He's never cared and the league isn't going to demand it of him because he's the golden boy NHL marketing plan for the next few years and they just want him attempting to get on highlight reels, not playing actual hockey. @@stefandjurachkovitch8624
The hawks scored 3 goals faster than I could blink in the third period. This was a game the sharks were better off losing but I felt bad for Cooley nonetheless.
For a sure thing top 3 pick this is a way better loss.

Slaggert looking like he wants to stay on the roster. Good skating and physique looking built for the league. He played with tenacity and shows the passion that this entire team needs. Reminding me a bit of Hagel in terms of attitude. Good to see him get the chance

I was watching their point percentage steadily decrease to the point where they won 1/4.. it’s pretty much their worst record in franchise history (excluding the 50s which is a separate chapter)

I have seen first half and gone to sleep. I hoped sharks will be tired in the end but the game of the Hawks was really terrible in the first half. Red defensemen just get first line tickets and watched these goals with popcorn. They are really lucky for the win.

The average fan cares more about meaningless wins over tanking for a sure thing top 3 pick if you have the least points.
The game is about entertainment. Sure I care for the team long term but I watch games to see wins and be entertained. The whole tanking thing is something the league needs to change.
@@stefandjurachkovitch8624 Get entertainment by hoping your team will only lose by 1 per game. It still takes effort and skill to do that. If wins = entertainment well you like most of the countless fans that value meaningless wins over doing moves that can actually improve the team a lot more long term.
Did you know based on math most teams with a top 10 pick are better off trading down and getting insurance on the pick over keeping it and taking who they take.

It doesn’t work like that. Last year Hawks had 1st pick because of their win against Penguins. You don’t have to be the worst in the league to win the draft lottery.

What do you think the league should do to prevent tanking and keep every game competitive? It is show business and fans who pay good money should be given every effort by their organization to be entertained in every game. Tanking for better draft picks is just bad for the game.
How about every team not making the playoffs has the same percentage to win the lottery? Or make a separate group stage/playoff to win the first pick? Aiming to tank/lose is not something that should get rewarded imo
