The more I think about this book, the more I realize how much I really loved it! Next time I read it, I'm going to take my time like you did. ❤ Great review!
Great review!! I added it to my list when I heard Tristan talk abt it in a "lesser known authors" video I think it was. You've definitely convinced me too. 💗
i just bought the Vicar of Wakefield too...i can t wait to read it...but i bought a weird edition...or misprint...because the first 10 chapters are jumbled...from 4 to 6 to 5 to 8 to 7 very confusing..but will be a great read i think
Oh no, that is such a pain! I had a Barnes and nobles book that was jumbled like that once 😂 (No wonder it was on sale 🥲) I hope you really enjoy it, once you have a decent copy!
Isn’t it fun to read a book that takes you down an historical rabbit hole? Thank you for the great review.

Aw, it's so sweet to think of the Vicar's strength being in God. This helps me like the book more.

It’s not a Regency work. King George III was in his 20s when it was published.
You're right, it's a bit early. But it was very influential in the regency period.
