Dear Tetrabitgaming, I am a really big fan of Kirby's Dream Land 3. I am kindly asking you to tell me how to get the debugging features. i would really like to play around with this game more with the debug test rooms. Thank you
The red blocks with this character 火 (hi) on them require fire Kirby. The blue ones 氷 (koori) need an ice Kirby. The grey ones 石 (ishi) need stone Kirby. The other red one はり (hari) needs needle Kirby. The light grey ones ホウキ (houki) need broom Kirby. The other red ones カサ (kasa) need parasol Kirby. The other other red ones デンキ (denki) need spark Kirby.
Similarly, the door next to the boss door is labeled with the kanji 中 (naka), which means middle. So yeah, it's the mid boss door. The symbols before that read し (shi) in hiragana, followed by ザイヤゴ (za i ya go) in katakana. No idea on what those might mean in this context, probably shorthand for the corresponding door's contents, but I couldn't guess more specifically than that.
The ゴ (go) room is definitely shorthand for "Goal", but the other three I still can't figure out. If the enemies were in the "za" door, I would have thought it meant "zakoteki" or basically "trash mob." And @Benjamin, ice blocks are actually special, if you notice their color, they are the only blue blocks. The ones labeled as "ice" needed fire because they literally ice blocks in game, as they showed in the video. The red blocks and even the white and gray blocks all are most likely broken by whatever label is on it, as those blocks are all the same brown type of tile in the finished game as well.

For the front facing Dedede sprites in dream land 1, I would bet those were for a scrapped scene in the end cutscene where Kirby essentially becomes a giant blimp, likely during the growing portion.

Funny, because today marked the day I started getting hyped over the possibility an anime crossover fighting game will be getting new fighters in a week.
13:28 i wish you talked about an enemy here, the one who looks like Kirby. It's an enemy that can only be found in one of the cloud levels, if you wait at the end of the level the camera will continue moving, after a while you need to jump and you are in a room with a bunch of those kirby enemys. Edit- you can actully first see it in the 3rd level and its called a batamon, and on the fourth level you will find the secret room, the last time you see one is in the 5th level, both the 5th and 3rd can't be touched but at the end of the fourth level you can interact with one.
so the characters found in the final room are: し,ザ,イ,ヤ,ゴ,中,Ｂ by themselves they’re pretty meaningless, although I believe it’s probably short hand so the developers knew what was in each room. However I do think this room was used to test how eating enemies through a wall worked but I'm at a loss on what ザ could mean. イ: This one's pretty simple and probably just means "interaction" (インターアクション ) - rooms to test how enemies, abilities, kirby, and the animal friends interact with the environment and/or with each other. ヤ: Possible part of the word "Yakudatsu" (役立つ) which means useful - again I'm not too sure on this one since the character is in katakana, but the rooms are full of useful items so it's a possibility. ゴ: This one is definitely just "goal" (ゴール) since it has the goal game. 中: Probably refers to "middle" (中) referring to the game's mid-bosses B: The B definitely just means "Boss" I hope these are pretty close to the shorthand the developers were trying to get at, although we'll really never know. I'm not 100% fluent in japanese so any additions/corrections are welcome.

(keep in mine that I’m still learning) I can read しザイやゴ中B (shizaiyago naka B) but it’s wired because it uses hiragana and katakana intermingled. It’s not a single word, and if you try to split it up you could read it as “raw materials, dragon naiad, inside, B”. This could make sense, but “dragon naiad” throws me off. There is also the fact that each character by itself can mean something, but it doesn’t really connect to what is inside the doors below each. For example, し could be city, death, poem, four, but non of these really connect. Finally, each character or groups of characters could be short for something. In this case, there are way to many possibilities for me to choose from. If anyone who knows Japanese better can figure this out I would love to know! As for me, this is all I got. Sorry I wasn’t much help. :(

It should be a test of that enemies function and i'm shocked you let that concept fly over your head if in fact it does do that.
The room that "sucks enemies through walls" has a secret: if you climb over the wall, then follow the enemy through the door, it might lead somewhere special!, like a certain level in the game
Sakurai didn't develop that many Kirby games in the end. I wish Kumazaki got more appreciation being the general director and loremaster for years now.

Sakurai didn't develop that many Kirby games in the end. I wish Kumazaki got more appreciation being the general director and loremaster for years now.
