Because I actually remember WCW especially at the end. Tony taking a bump wasn't him suddenly becoming the focal point of the his promotion. People need to relax.
WCW beat WWF for 2 years; before that, it still pulled millions of viewers. Dont EVER disrespect WCW by comparing it to AEW. TNA is a more apt comparison.

That segment was amateur as fuck. But, considering who was involved, I’m not surprised. I feel bad for Okada, because he’s being dragged down by all the goofiness of the Bucks.
Tony should not be on tv. I repeat, Tony should not be on tv. He can’t even shake someone’s hand without being the most awkward dweeb anyone has ever seen. Anything he’s involved in, where there is physicality, will look and come across as completely fake. He didn’t even fight back or struggle. He was just a limp. This was laughably bad.

I’m failing to see the prohlem with the angle. No, it’s not a recreation of Austin or McMahon and I don’t see this leading to Tony khan being more of an on screen character. It’s to simply establish that the elite are facilitating a hostile takeover of the company. That’s it. Some will join and support their efforts and some will fight against them.

I thought this ending was fun and I am interested to see where it goes. The shock value and wildness of this reminded me of watching wrestling in the late 90s/early 2000s. People rave about this, rant about that, online week after week, drawing conclusions without knowing where these stories might be going and what is in store lol. That goes for AEW and WWE as well. It makes wrestling less fun and has me tuning out more and more to the "IWC".

Plus dream matches do matter by not just producing and booking them every week. Plus the thing is that wcw had great storytelling compared to AEW before their downfall with much edgier attitude content, non stop brawls inside and outside, biggest draw wrestlers, millions of views getting watched by the minute, headlines by wwe invading their product, merchandising sells sky high, and most of all a reason for fans to care. Even if AEW try’s to level up their status with WWE like how WCW did, still they are just a secondary company that try’s to be number since 2019 but fumbles the ball everytime they mess up years later only to just create nonsense matchups while certain storylines are not even the scoop for the headlines except for just Tony khan getting his ass knocked out by Jack perry and the elite.

Loved the show, one of the best Dynamites this year. Finally a big storyline is looming. Maybe even Tony's faction vs his father's faction for the control of the company. Other segments were good too. Willow is surprisingly capable on the microphone and Jericho reinvented himself once again despite all the hate he's getting.

The WWE isn't the only company to do a boss vs employee(s) angle. And the WWE have ripped off movies for angles and storylines on their programming for years and that's not lazy and cheap to you? Aew are trying to do something interesting because nobody expected Tony Khan to get attacked at the end of the show. Didn't know Austin and Vince are the only ones that can do the boss vs employee angle and no other wrestling company could.

What is the story with Mox and Don Callis? Moxley literally said it last week. They attacked Bryan Danielson and as Mox said if you put a target on Bryan you also put a target on him. Trent turned on Orange after losing the tag tournament and Trent sees that in the almost 5 years of AEW they haven't achieved what is expected of them while OC has went above and beyond and became a star in the company. Trent said that Chuck has to make a choice on Wensday and Chuck made a choice as for the parking lot brawl it is in reffence to the brawl they had 3 years ago. But again AEW doesn’t tell stories apparently
Mercades is a problem that even I cant defend because she has the same problem Toni and Max did back in the Fall of 2023 when a vast majority of fans left.
As for Jericho, Punk doesn’t own the right on cult gimmicks if anyone does it would be Kevin Sullivan the guy Punk copied from. Luke was purple haze, Serena was Woman and Punk was Sullivan.
They saw the video and Punk took a cheapshot and Perry was suspended and sent on a learning excursion to NJPW. They sympathize with him and his NJPW match at Windy City had the best atmosphere fof a match this year only rivialed by Sting's retirement. People sympathize with Perry cause he was a literal scapegoat.

For someone who has done this 13 years it amazes me how TK stepping in the ring even crossed your mind. Sure it’s been done everywhere but Khan has always maintained that he never wanted to be a TV personality so for him to step into the ring it had to have a good reason and that was simply and solely to elevate Jack. Mission accomplished. The CM saga is complete and Tony’s character was essentially “killed off” of TV and the Elite are going to run the joint for the foreseeable future that’s why Kenny is coming back next week to, one would think, contest their authority as the last authority figure standing. Come on man. Get a clue.
