Am i wrong in thinking that the restauration has come to a halt? That first lock works, which is nice, ofcourse. How about the last one in the video? Doors look fairly new?
Hi Ed, not sure if my previous reply worked, but basically all of the locks work, however there is a limited height bridge over the chamber of the next lock limiting the size of boats that can go through, but not as much as the Skerne Road Bridge at Wansford, which was sold to the council in the 60's and replaced with a fixed bridge (originally it was a swing bridge), thus limiting the size of boats that can go any further. We are trying to get the council to replace it, but they have no money.
That's a real shame that is. Well....we'll just hope that the council will have the money (and the will...) to replace it in the near future. Otherwise all the hard work goes to waste.
@@stewartwould2190 we wish. They are spending thousands on replacing the handrails. Would have been better to use that money on an opening replacement.

@@mykaskin I saw some works going on at the Skerne Road Bridge recently and hoped it was reverting to a swing bridge.

That's a pity@@mykaskin ; it's such a long job; I had great hopes.
