Remember that fleet number says nothing about the size or tech capabilities of the vessels. North Korea has the most submarines, but they aren't high tech and can't travel very far.

This video is deceptive. American carriers are NEVER alone. A) There are ALWAYS submarine(s).
    B) A Carrier Battle Group (CBG) provides a dome of protection over the carrier.
    C) Although the primary mission of the CBG is carrier protection, this doesn't negate offensive capabilities of individual ships in the CBG. EVERY ship in the CBG is a warship.
I'm retired USAF, and even I can see the narrowsightedness of these "know nothing" trolls.
If the DoD and USN are releasing this, that means lasers have been in play for AT LEAST 5 years.

Ion engines are viable for space use... however due to our atmosphere jets using Ram Jet engines such as the SR-71 achieving Mech 3+ create enormous heat from the friction from the atmosphere, so Jet aircraft without a slip stream are not probable.
Blasters in starwars are plasma based that splash on impact, vaporizing metal and biological alike creating an explosion.
Again if it's being talked about on UA-cam etc... its been out for a while.

China can make anything they want but they will always fall behind in quality because America still has the biggest defense budget. It's like if China made 1,000 muskets and America made 900 M4s. 1,000 muskets sounds a lot but the quality sucks and they will still lose.

One of the developers has a working 3 megawatt laser and are close to an eight megawatt laser. China’s missile specs are most likely propaganda their hypersonic missiles are probably half of what they’re claiming….if they’re even fully operational.

Love your vids! There's a slight issue, however, with your blaster (laser gun) scenario. Light can EASILY be defeated and thus I don't see them replacing guns. Take the strongest laser you can buy.. point it at paper. It burns through. Point it at a plastic toy car.. it melts. Point it at a hunk of metal.. it will heat up and at some point it will hit its critical melting point and perhaps will explode. Great, right? Now.. aim it at a mirror! Aim it at any highly polished surface. See my point? Lasers and blasters will certainly have a place.. but I don't foresee them REPLACING guns, that's all

  • @Will-fk2dk

I really hope we can perfect the Rail Gun.
The power in the curretn test models is horrifying!
The ones I have seen fire a Tungsten Projectile thay doesnt even have an explosive payload within it...
Because it is traveling so fast, it doesn't NEED an explosion.
The impact of the Tungsten Projectile is so powerful, that upon reviewing a target that had been hit by the Rail Gun, they noticed that it had melted solid rock!

You couldn't make a laser engine that could accelerate an object to light speed. Nothing can make an object go light speed. You would literally need an infinite amount of energy. Something we may never be capable of.
Also a cold war is not a good thing. We have done that before with Russia and while the US did create advanced technology during this time, there was a constant threat of nuclear war and political instability around the world.

Laser engines wouldn't work, because light has no mass, and for the reaction of propulsion you need the action of expelling mass; the ships lasers work by heating up the missles causing them to explode. The Chinese navy being bigger than the American navy thing is a bit of misnomer, we don't count small support vessels and they do, if you look at it by tonnage the American navy weighs several hundred million more Pounds, not to mention way more advanced. 😅

Lasers will be usefull, BUT what this video fails to talk about, ALL China's "Carrier Killer" missiles use Sat Nav. China has very few Sats compared to US and can only target Ships throughout China Sea a few times a day. On top of that EVERY US Naval Ship has the SM1 missile which can hit Sats in space. B4 China even launched, they would be blind. They know they can not take on US military for a decade or more. Not a single piece of their military equipment compares to the US counterpart. THEN they have to get their forced conscripts to perform as well as a dedicated volunteer.

    Laser engine?
You ever hear of a thing called a light sail? A laser could be used to power one of those easy enough.
As for lasers on ships... Why? Just put 'em in orbit and destroy the missiles and drones as soon as they're launched.

I love when they make these videos and leave out why China has so many boats...50% are fishing boats fitted for combat 🤣 20% arent even that and the remaining are actual battle ships but low quality. If a few bullets take down your ship its not really worth counting it towards the fleet lol
