"I want to thank Teresa" - words you will never hear again. haha!
Why does no one like Teresa? I see people bad mouthing her everywhere....
@@EdwardWLTV because she's the reason DEI is no more
When you chase Dale Sr Son and family out of the business he built and started and then run it into the ground I believe Kevin Harvick said it best she's a dead beat owner.
@@EdwardWLTV Because if you’ve followed NASCAR and The Earnhardt family for more than 20 years…you know without of a shadow of a doubt, she’s a POS human to her family and friends. Wrecked DEI and basically told Jr to F off.
Teresa should’ve just stepped down and let Junior handle DEI I think if she did DEI would probably be one of the most successful NASCAR teams just like how Junior motorsports is
This, Harvick’s win at Atlanta, and Dale Jr.’s wins at Daytona and Dover were the most important wins of 2001, IMO.
Dont forget Dale Jr's win immediately after 9/11.
@@zacksmathers2689
I didn’t, I mentioned his win at Dover.
BRING ROCKINGHAM BACK
New owner is working on it.
I agree, but they can't rush it. Also has to have the correct date. Spring date would be so much better than a February date.
North Wilkesboro should also be brought back although it will need a major overhaul.
Already attempted in early 2010s, no one showed up
You think they can bring back 90's racing too? Asking for a friend...
I want to see a little bumping and nudging that doesn't result in a 25 car pile up.
Just want clean, FUN, hard racing. With that being said it's been better the last few years. Lot of younger guys coming to race. It's exciting.
Such an emotional win. If Park didn't have so many unfortunate injuries from accidents, I believe he would have won a few more races.
With Harvick in the 30
Met Steve at Daytona this year, such a great guy to talk to. We talked for a good 20 minutes. :) It was my favorite part of the whole weekend.
Steve Park can't escape the fact that he's part of THE UNLUCKIEST class of rookies of ALL TIME. The entire NASCAR Rookie Class of 1998 is full of unfortunate drivers who had career ending/life ending crashes. Steve Park is one of them unfortunately.
He was 11th in points when he got hurt. He was my guy. That might be why he got hurt.
I miss having Larry Mac in the booth
Bobby was & will always be my favorite NASCAR driver. He always drove clean & is a very humble person.
He's under rated for sure. Irriates me when people now days say "who was Bobby Labonte?" Such a great guy and gentleman racer
Met Bobby twice.. once in a Mac tools tent at Dover.. and once running around the pits.. AWESOME AWESOME GUY!
Most underrated champion. It's tough to make a name for yourself when Jeff Gordon is in your rookie class.
Bobby was 1 of my guys after DW hung it up as he was my all time favorite. Him and old man Mark Martin were my dudes. Love that green 18 Pontiac
Still chokes me up I remember this one well. Steve park will always be one of my favorite drives of all time.
I remember this race. Second straight win for Dale Earnhardt Incorporated after Dales death the following week after Daytona
BRING BACK ROCKINGHAM!! Such great racing!!!
Jordan H the new owner is working on it.
That track blows. In the middle of nowhere. In the end they couldn't fill half the stands. Drivers hated it because it ate tires like a stoner eating Oreos.
@@timcornell7506 So does Atlanta. Atlanta has a crumbling surface that blows out more tires than a pot hole filled road on a California highway
Steve is such a great person. I hope he’s doing well these days
Watch Dale Jr. Dirty mo mofia.. he just had park on there
David Kuscavage oh awesome! Thanks man, I’ll check it out
@@FlyEaglesFly19111 Great piece they did. Park sounds so much better! Some funny stories, too!
he is
Met him at Daytona this year, he is doing great and has a 9 year old son he's trying to keep up with, lol!
Steve Parks Pennzoil Paint Scheme Was Beautiful. One of my Favorites & the Most under rated in my opinion.
quite a coincidence how nascar is looking into changing the schedule and how Rockingham is 1 of the tracks they are looking into bringing back.
if they start reposting wins from any of the ones they are thinking of bringing back then its confirmed
@@MrMosebysLobby the nashville Fairgrounds track hasn't been in nascar for years so that would be an old race to be showcased.
Coincident that Jr had Steve on his podcast, and now this???? Such a great person, driver, and car builder.
Not a chance, Dale works for NBC
Man,I miss Rockingham ,
No front splitter, still running the Rock. Best years hands down
Good clean racing, park was a class act. Miss those days of nascar.
I just watched Steve on Dale Jr's show, good to see him.
That was cool.. Steve sounded much much better.
@@FlyEaglesFly19111 Yes he did! I used to get choked up listening to him talk....not any more.
Steve is a smart man !!!
It's cool to see what Dale Jr and Steve were talking about on Jr podcast.
Dang those cars ran LOOSE! I LOVE IT! We need more Rockingham way more than 2 at ISM or Kansas!
Why in the wide world of sports would you ever take Rockingham off the cup schedule!? Great track, great racing
Attendance, apparently
And now attendance is a problem at every track, but the Daytona 500. Time to get back to their roots
500 laps at Rockingham was worse than dying of cancer
Best quality I’ve seen from 2001
Nobody ever talks about how Dale Sr. managed to grab 3 of the biggest sponsors in racing history to put their logos on his cars.
The Rock rocked that day. Great finish on a great track.
I remember that race like it was yesterday Steve said this is 4 you Dale
This was a very impressive way to bounce back from the most tragic moment in the sports history...
#DALE3
I loved that #1 Chevy with the pennzoil logo/colors and font. I rooted for him because i liked underdogs
Think if I’m correct, this was Steve Park’s second career victory
Kaleb miller it was. He won at Watkins Glen in 2000.
3:43 Same man, same
I miss seeing the cars flex and lean like these old ones did.
Bring the rock back what a awesome race track it was.
as a guy Who's just getting into nascar I realize Dale was like the Kobe of Nascar
Man.. the feels.
I sure wish that Steve pack was still in cup he was a great competitor and that brings back a lot of memories from years past and I do agree yes bring Rockingham it made for some exciting racing
who wants to petition nascar do bring it back??
I just watched this whole race. It's a lot better than the trash we see on the track today. HEY NASCAR LOOK AT YOUR 2019 PACKAGE AND REALIZE IT SUCKS COMPARED TO THIS!! IF YOU WATCHED THE WHOLE RACE YOU WOULD REALIZED THAT! SOMETHING YOU WILL NEVER ADMIT TO OR BOTHER TO DO!!
That year was the do it for dale year 😢😢
Michael burning out like he mattered hahahaha
Mercure rekso kapal terbang tenggelam&nascar treatment malem malem nih film dikendalikan enemy musuh
You guys done good
Could have been a consistent top 10 in points for another 5 or 6 years, along with another 4 or 5 wins. Loved Steve back in the day.
No doubt that Dale Sr was riding in the passenger seat of the 1 car that day
My moms got one in the driveway and I got one in victory lane
It’s such a shame that such a great career was cut short by a freak accident.
Rockingham, N. Wilkesboro, Road America, Milwaukee Mile, Iowa Speedway, and heck maybe COTA to cup!
COTA is going to Cup racing. That race will take place in June after the Coca Cola 600. Road America will take place 4th of July weekend.
If Steve Park didn't have so many injuries I believe he would have won a lot more races and a championship.
Pennzoil goodness
Sure miss Park in the series.. missing ring for sure.
Steve Park is my hero
They let him win.. the peoples needed it
Dale jr winning at Daytona the peoples need that also
Fyi I'm both dale and Jr fan 😊
DW on dem labonte nutz
HE THANKED TERESA!
What a wiggle that was
I miss Steve, I quit watching after he had his comeback. It just wasn't the same.
People want to know what happened to nascar. They stop racing on the best tracks plan and simple
And the cars became feathers which crumble apart at the change of the wind..no more door banging..and too regulated as cookie cutter bodies..but hey.. what do fans know
At 2:41 i shed a tear
Back when u won u celebrated like it was ur first/last
Here before carnation
Also, here before Carnation
See, this was racing. NASCAR's just lost this now. The cars can't race like this lap after lap anywhere except Martinsville now.

First
Rigged. Steve Park was nowhere near being a guy who would be in contention for wins weekly. DEI just did not have the equipment at this time. This is the most rigged win ever next to Kevin harvick winning at Atlanta the same year
ChrisS82 I do not agree. Park had won at Watkins Glen the previous year, beating out Mark Martin, finishing out the year 11th in points, and he was 10th in points before he had his scary accident at Darlington in 01. He was never the same after that accident. Also Park got 3 2nd places finishes before his injury.
ChrisS82 Also, that Atlanta race had a photo finish between Harvick and Gordon. Tell me how easy it is to rig it into a photo finish.
WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG. 2001 had a lot of exciting racing that year.
