Some of the most successful products on Sharktank have been simple products. Robert deserves credit for two reasons, one for sticking to his contrarian opinion to other sharks and the other for being considerate in his equity expectation.
The only problem with Robert is that he almost never closes deals, which is the exact case with this business too
Robert never closed the deal…
They went on to boom and make 2.2 in revenue through CVS.
Celebrities endorsed their product.
Revenue is nothing. They barely make a profit. And they were right, none of them would ever get their investment back that way.

I’ve seen that Mark is the only one that closes most of the deals he makes. The others only close 50% of time and rarely for the deal made on the show
They also appeared on Dragons Den and got two dragons I think.

Well, think of it this way. To them, it's a small percentage of their business. But to Robert, 5% is a 25% increase from the 20% equity they offered.

I just watched the episode and wondered if they were still in business. According to reports they backed out of the deal with Robert. It’s obvious they were never looking for a deal. It was a free TV commercial. I guess I can’t blame them, but why make a deal at all??

They declined the deal at the end and ended up partnering with CVS, which took a bigger cut.
I think the ladies should try to come up with more practical use cases for example protecting those really expensive stilettos that’s over $1000 each. They kept saying to protect shoes from glass and that’s good but it’s such a niche product and most likely a one time purchase so the customer acquisition rate would be very high….

When you invest in a business like this, you buy the executives and the know-how involved much more than the specific product. Thinking about all the future possibilities of new launches and new sources of income. 2 of these female executives on the market are worth more than $500k / year each
