Lol...I like the lame song in the background...what disrespect. Why do you need to play music when you have a marching band? They are the sound of college football. That's what I could never understand. Especially Penn State and others with that "Sweet Caroline"...lamest of the lame. Can't get more lame than that. Let's remember that at this point they have already played three concerts along the march from campus! They also only use the Peristyle entrance once a year, for the final game.
A Marching Band of this size are virtually unobtainable on the Open Market. The USC Thornton School of Music was able to assemble and train one that sounds great and is accessible.
If you really want to see a band that is far more organized marches in much greater form check out some videos of Texas A and M Band. Second to none in form and quality. I am NOT a A and M fan but they are by far the best I have seen. May be because they are military which demands greater discipline.
What a hot, sloppy mess. It should not be that difficult to march down those steps in syn with one another, esp slow-stepping. A few of the ranks manage to do it. It just demonstrates the USC band's lack of discipline. Blame the director. Has that old geezer Bartner retired yet. Not nearly as good as they think they are.
