I note the 'pipe frame' supports on the ground, which the mill support legs sit in. Is this part of the standard setup, your own design, or something millers in Australia have devised? Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.

if you add the cost of just buying the timbers/boards vs. the time and effort to cut them yourself. is it really worth it?

These guys run a milling business, and Lucas Mill is very popular for milling fallen trees, or of course felling trees. As a business you can either charge the customer a milling price for on site milling (pretty popular with farmers), or you can mill timber & remove it yourself and later sell it. Depending on the species & type of cut, it can be very profitable. This mill also has a great chainsaw attachment to do big slabs. Very good for both framing and furniture timber (the latter requiring further finishing and probably drying too)

Depends what you use the wood for I mostly cut kindling wood and I earn £4,000.00 per year and I use the saw dust for my chickens which saves me £500.00 per year I could cut a lot wood but I am not aloud to use my own land.
