Brightness 100 (it's preference. Lower if you have eye strain)
Contrast 91
Black Level 54

Saturation + Tint 50

White balance 2 point
RGain -12
GOffset -3
Everything else at 0
Sharpness 0
Bare in mind. I've just done this at night time. I haven't used a professional colourometer, just the free test patterns off AVS. And it looks pretty great to my eye.
I have different settings for SDR content.

Hi! If you are playing something that does not require quick reflexes like some strategy game (or games like Snowrunner :), then yes, you can use Movie mode for gaming as well.
Do you plan on reviewing the P series, too, and showing calibrations for them? I got the 43P715 for my kitchen/living room (size constraints :)) and cannot find recommended setting for the P series anywhere online.

I have a question, sorry if may sound silly, but my previous tv is from another era... Can I save the settings and recall them according to the type of video I intend to watch?
Hello Giovanni - thanks for the message and for the purchase. Basically with new TVs such as C815 you will have SDR and HDR settings. TV will automatically switch to either of those when the signal is detected. So you need to adjust settings for SDR and then for HDR and then you are all set. Or you need something else?

No this TV doesn't come with HDMI 2.1 so no VRR.

TCL has better motion resolution, so it is better for sport. But for movies and especially HDR, Hisense is better (has fully functional full array local dimming tech.).

Hi - it is below 350 nits - low value for an HDR TV. For better HDR I recommend Hisense U7QF or U8QF.
In Uruguay only came the 55" model, so no 120hz, too bad.

Hi! This video I made with v209 but in the meantime it got updated to v309 that corrected some of the issues (like global dimming in SDR and HDR, but not in Dolby Vision). During this month it should be further updated, so maybe they will correct other issues (like stuttering in Netflix, UA-cam, Prime Video...).

Why did you not show the white balance settings? It is an important setting for color accuracy and hard to get without calibration equipment.
No point in showing as it is individually set for each TV.

Yes. They apply to all C81 and all C71 TVs.

Hay Darko, is it edge led or dled? So it dosent have local dimming... Is it HDR any good? Is it bright enough?
Read that it's ELED (cost-saving to compensate for the soundbar). Does not reach DCIP3 color standard like it's C715 counterpart. Has a better 120Hz screen, which I believe is better for gaming. No local dimming but micro dimming. Supports HDR 10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision - looks pretty good to me. Brightness - 400 nits (typical) and 500 nits (max) - good for dark room but not all that great for bright room, but still one of the best amongst TCL's lineup. C715 is only 330 nits (typical) and 400 nits (max) though, and has 60Hz panel.

These TVs are very much alike, so all settings apply to it as well.

No, judder reduction should be turned off if you want to see movies as content creators want.
Do you ever had issues cleaning your tv? I don't know why but whenever I clean my tv it leaves some little dots that I can't clean , do you know what they are? Also should I bother with them or just leave them there?

@@ufukozen8885 no there are some very tiny holes on the screen when I get very close to the screen and I can't clean them with my microfiber cloth

Molim te pomozi mi pri izboru TV-a. Dvoumim se između TCL C815 i Sony XF9005 koji je na akciji skuplji za 130 eura od TCLa.
Demo na TClu izgleda impresivno, ali pretpostavljam da je Sony mnogo bolji u svakodnevnom korišćenju.

To have the panel work in 100 or 120 Hz mode, you need to raise Blur reduction control in the Motion menu above 0. This is for example for movies in 24 Hz to be displayed more smoothly as each frame will be repeated 5 times. But to get a native 120 Hz source like from PS5, I think you can only get it with Full HD 1080p input, not with 4K. I'm still waiting for my PS5 to check out its settings. Can you set PS5 to output 1080p at 120 Hz?

Hello I was just wondering I have a 50 inch tcl model 50p610k and there are no borders around when in the TV home but when I play my ps5 on it their is large black borders around the entire screen do you have any idea on how to fix this without zooming in the screen because that just makes me not see most of the things if I zoom in
Hey, check aspect ratio setting on the TV and also disable Overscan. Once this is done you can adjust picture format from the PS5.

What firmware is your TV running? Mine doesn't have blur reduction as a setting.

Same settings apply for sport, maybe you will need to increase backlight and tweak gamma a bit till you are OK with the picture. Which screen size did you buy?

Hey, artefacts could be due to interpolation (Judder reduction) or due to highly compressed content. What source are you watching?

For Gaming, which is better - C815 or C715? 🧐
If you can go with C815 as if has better panel. Other than that, contrast, colors and input lag are the same.

Bok, nisi se zeznuo. TV ima neke musice, no generalno radi stabilno i ima sasvim dobru sliku. Ovih dana cu objaviti hands-on recenziju pa ces vidjet kako radi.

Wow my TCL version is lower and not QLED and had experience this 8:15 too. Its distracting when watching movies. I thought its because dynamic brightness or something but you experience this mean its from TCL.
Hi Vindy - other brands also use this cheap trick and it is a real pitty that there is no way to disable it.
how to enable hdr dolby vision mode?
Just play some content on Netflix in Dolby Vision and TV will switch to it automatically. Same applies to playing DV content over HDMI.

There is no Smart HDR mode on my TV after the latest update.

After I updated the firmware the Smart HDR mode disappeared

@@TVguyDarko all seems to be ok, it's just the mode disappeared from the menu.
I also can't find the brightness setting anymore it's gone. There is only backlight, contrast, color, tint, gamma but no brightness. Very strange.
Also if I remember the Dolby Settings was visible on the menu but not anymore.
On Netflix every 4K movie it's written as 4K HDR, before it was written 4K Ultra HD.
What does all of this mean?

Would you recommend Samsung or TCL ?
I would rather recommend Samsung simple because it is more stable in regards to apps - I know they will work fine without stuttering as opposed on this specific TCL TV.
MY HDR settings never get saved. It always resets when I open it

@@TVguyDarko It is turned off. My Problem is that when I use the LED Motion Plus in HDR Mode, it automatically turns the brightness to 15. So everytime I have to change the brightness. Btw using C715
