Keep going with your reactions, so sincere. Great job
🤘Even their sweetest ballads are absolute bangers!🤘
An amazing song, with all the feels. I have shed many tears listening to "Revenant". The final 3 songs on the "Error" album are my favorite set of songs The Warning has put out. This, the "Martirio" (my favorite in their catalog, and an absolute anthem), then "Breathe". Extremely moving music.
They played two nights at Teatro Metropolitan. The audio is live from one of them, the video is is edited together from both nights. That's why the Dr. Simi doll is there in some shots but not in others. Throwing Dr. Simi dolls on stage is a viral trend in Mexico where fans throw them on stage as a sign of affection.
The guest guitarist is Pliego Villarreal. Same last name as DPA, but no relation. He is a family friend though and they call him Primo (Spanish for cousin). I believe the guitar he is using is something called a bajo quinto which has 10-strings typically tuned to 2 pairs of 5 notes in 2 different octaves
There really are no limits on what The Warning can do, this song is a masterpiece!
From "Escape The Mind" to "KMF" I still can't skip a song, including all their covers.
Just one word needed here . . .
Harmony's. . . . .
Well . . 2 more words . . Fkn awesome . .
👋🇳🇿👍twa
Now you know why we say The Warning are their own genre. They have something for everyone. Enjoy the ride brother.🤟⚡TWA
Revenant is a beautiful song. ❤❤❤
Sibling Magic!!
These 3 girls from Mexico have brought tears to my eyes more times than anything in the past 55 years. To this day when ‘Breathe’ comes on while driving I have to make sure I’m not in traffic because my vision is about to become very blurry. & then there’s ’Black Holes’, & Pau at home with ‘Creep’, & Dany at home with ‘Show Me the Light’. & don’t even get me started about ‘Crimson Queen’….
Raise a glass.
Crimson Queen at Lunario... Oh God!!!!
Yes. All of those. Like our host today, except for symphonies, I have never been a slow song listener...until these ladies. Now I cry all the time because of them.
I am in The Warning Navy. We are like TWA but better swimmers
😂😂😂
We must cover every square inch to insure all are fairly Warned. Your service will be hailed from every dock. Just be sure to wash your feet and crunch the numbers sailor.
I like that.. watch out for "Sharks"🦈🦈👍
Hahaha, good one 😊👍 shipmate
🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍
This song and performance makes my eyes water.
It is so exquisite.
Im not cutting onions, YOU are!! 😢
Love love your reactions!! Because I know you’re completely sincere, you’re not faking it to get subscribers. I’m a mom of two neurodivergent kids who are the purest souls I know, and I’m so proud of you for being so outspoken of your condition and letting the world know we’re all the same 🤗🤗
PS I’m super fan of The Warning ⚡️🤘and they also make me super proud because I’m Mexican so you’ll have me here very time you react to them 🤩😁
These types of performances are one of the reasons why they have built such a solid fan base over the years.
The Warning is more than just a rock band.
They are authentic artists with an ability to connect and transmit emotions, like no other recent rock band.
They are stars in the making.
In their concerts you will experience a whole series of different emotions.
Few rock bands today can move their fans to tears, and the Warning is one of them.
That's why many fans are really passionate about them. 👋😉
you've definitely been warned, my friend! 😘
Guest is Pliego Villarreal, no relation to the ladies, but they referred to him as 'cousin'. Yes a 10 string, it's a Bajo Quinto, a Mexican 10 string bass/guitar, in pairs or 5 courses.
Definitely a 'feel' song. Pau is good at putting the emotion into her vocals. They don't play this song often, because of the need for the extra instrument.
Believe Dany has a Dr. Simi doll, mascot from a discount Mexican pharmacy, in Mexico fans throw those on stage. Yep, 2 concerts edited together in post.
More from this show: "Disciple" is still high on the recommendation list. Another song here with a guest is "Narcisista", also is their first Spanish language song, and another surprise here for you when you get to it.🤘🤘. We're not setting you up, were dragging you in with us. 🤣🤣 Your Welcome.
I told you angelic harmonies.
Great reaction...!!! I'm gonna wait for Animosity....my favorite and first song hear from the Warning
If a song moves one emotionally it doesn't matter what the speed of the song is , cheers man and a happy belated birthday to you . 🎉🎂
Pau has the perfect alternative voice to Dany's belting vocals, and it provides for an awesome change of pace when she takes lead. But I agree with you 100% on Dany's vocal prowess. In my book, she is the greatest hard rock vocalist since Ronnie James Dio. Not only in her range and other attributes that pertain to her verbalizations, but also with her masterful ability to project the intensity of her emotions through facial and physical gestures, just like RJD.
As far as recommendations, I have nothing specific for you; I just recommend that you keep the Warning reactions coming... they have a large catalogue and not a bad song among them, so don't stop until you repeat yourself twice through!
You're doing a great job. Love your reactions...especially to The Warning. There is so much more for you to discover
“When I’m alone” from this show is a must. One of the most relatable songs you’ll ever hear and my personal favourite of all time.
Or from the Pepsi center Dany acoustic
@@janmartins7172 love her acoustic versions, but for the first time listen, I think Teatro is the best. The sound is incredible and the drumming is some of my absolute favourite.
I agree!
I felt the same way when I first heard this song. Uncontrollable emotion, it's incredible what they can evoke from their music. Thank you for your reaction!
Slow songs have to be great for me to enjoy them, and this is a GREAT song done incredibly well, love these girls, and a great reaction too !!!
They do not make bad songs. Everything is amazing. All of it.
The most amazing thinbg about this incredible song is it was originally written when Pau was...12... ( At least that's what I understood from Pau in a recent interview). That's just plain not right...I certainly isn't fair to the rest of us ( Motzart notwithstanding)
🎯 and they keep getting better!
🤯🤯🤯
@@gregjetnikoff7124 Pau is a freaking GENIUS all caps, no cap! ⚡⚡⚡
Thank you for reacting to this performance. Let the sobbing begin. I'm simply unable to get through this one without the tears flowing. I used to want to know why, but now I just let Pau's passion pierce my soul.
Great reaction, loved it , these ladies are truly special unlike anything I’ve ever seen. 👍⚡️⚡️🔥🔥🤘🤘
One of the most hauntingly beautiful songs I've heard.❤
As everyone says, you have been warned! These ladies are pure fire live, for sure!
You are one of my favourite and most rewarding reactors to watch. Everything these women do seems to come right from their hearts
You must watch Pau sing a cover of "Creep". You will never be the same, life-changing.
They can do everything, their song writing is out of this world.
The doll is a Dr. Simi. He’s a mascot from a Mexican pharmacy that is thrown on to the stage. I equate it to throwing flowers.
Truly beautiful is it not? The harmonies are amazing.
This is either, or both, the scariest, most frightening love song, or the most beautiful, romantic death threat, of any song ever written! I do NOT want to be that "Dear Boy"!! Woah! Don't make Pau angry!! hehee
This song is a conversation between two people, one is the boy who is obviously a criminal, maybe even a murderer, who shows sign of psychopathy. The other is perhaps an elder or maybe even his mother who is advising him to leave and never rrturn because the community are about to get him and hang him or some other fort of capital punishment. So it is a death song.
@@carlossaraiva8213 I don't read it quite that way, I see it as a broken relationship story, but yeah, it's just got Death and Fate hanging all over it.... but that's the great thing about their lyrics - so many different ways to interpret them, they can mean different things to each of us!
For me, it's a classic 'lament'. Lamentations are underrated!
@@Biomirth Mmm, you don't say? ua-cam.com/video/Rm5lDmY88jc/v-deo.html
"Cause all the fingers are pointing at you now" this phrase is nothing to do with relationships i think.@@billholder1330
Queens of Rock. Great reaction. Enjoyed very much, seriously.
You have to try “23”. It is even more emotional song for me, and Pau sings it brilliantly.
No, you're not imagining things. This concert was filmed over two separate shows. On one of them, Dany thought it would be fun to pose the Dr. Simi (or whatever) doll tossed up on the stage in her lap. In the other one, she didn't have one. But as a band they are so seamless and precise their instrumentation and singing that it's almost trivial for their video editor to meld the two vid shoots. The viewer will never notice any discontinuity in the music, because it's always the same. Practiced, and flawless.
This another excellent example of the sisters throwing their hands in the air and saying, 'Hell with it. Pau wants to write ballads; sometime we just need to let a ballad _be_ a ballad. It works better this way." Every 8 - 10 songs she starts winds up like this, and it's to their credit that they let the chips fall where they may occasionally. Generally for the best.😋
Also, this was kind of a rare treat - they generally won't do _Revenant_ live, precisely because it desperately needs a second guitar (10-string or not). Dany has tried to do it solo and it... wasn't great. So usually, they won't even try. But here they had the chance to use Pliego, so it made sense to do so. It's a fantastic song, and well worth hearing live any time it's available.
Ale’s voice is often, almost always, panned to the left side in pro shot live concerts. Whoever (pau or dany) is doing the other harmony is planned right often, and lead is in Center. That sometimes helps. But Ale has a voice that mysteriously blends so well it is hard to pick out
And they generally have her lower in the mix specifically her mic is lower in the mix
This song proves that if they so wished The Warning could make a great rock western/country album.
I picture a Tarantino movie where a band of bad ass bounty hunters are riding off into the sunset after torching an entire town of outlaws....:)
Wash your mouth out with soap! Country 🙄
Excellent my friend...excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Revenant is a beautiful song that doesn't get any play time, much like Crimson Queen before it. The awesome harmonies! It deserves more attention then it gets.
Dany flexes her falsetto a little on the new album, but sings in head voice mostly in her higher register.
Nearly all the falsetto you hear on their older stuff is Ale. Dany does the low end on this song.
If you want to explore Dany later on, any/all of her Midnight Dany Day performances will touch your soul.
You get 'em man....sorry, but you're as lost in TW as we are.....:)
these young ladies really are special. and kuddos to mom and dad for supporting and encouraging them from such a young age. great reaction my friend.
Yeah, that's a Mexican Mariaci(?) guitar variant - the "Baja Quinto" (5 courses, doubled strings / octaves). The player is a friend of the band, also named Villareal, but unrelated, they call him "Primo" or "Cousin" as a joke (since he isn't). Semi-famous from the Mexican band circuits, actually.
Now this is why these 3 sisters are simply the most talented Rock band on the planet!! Way way to much talent. Thanks for the great reaction once again. You will undoubtedly get info on the Dr. Simi doll and that the Ladies performed 2 sold out nights here and this was edited from both nights.
Couldn't agree more!
Very nice reaction. Thank you.
Thank you too!
Thank You! Great reaction! ....GOTCHA!.....😃😄😁
Welcome!!
The all-fenale bands are just showing up everyone else.
The dude is Pliego Villarreal. Despite the name, he's no relation to the sisters (they do call him Primo, which is Spanish for cousin). He's the bassist for the rock band Kinky.
The guitar he is playing is called a Bajo Quinto (literally "bass five") which is a 10 string Guitar that falls in about the range of a baritone guitar. It's tuned ADGCF in courses.
Amazing harmonies on this. For Pau with attitude you really need to check out Narcisista from the Foro Didi performance. That was the first time they played it live and she sent a message.
Good thing I was already crying with laughter from "Not the mama" -- keep enjoying the journey!
You got me laughing about Dany’s Dr Simi doll. It was a short lived thing in Mexico where fans would throw these dolls on stage. Unbelievably they were mascots for a pharmacy chain and I have no idea how it started, but the girls were elated that they got a huge pile of Dr Simi dolls. This was an emotional evening for them on many counts. They also had several of their longtime teachers come onstage and play with them. By the end of the night there were tears all around.
He is playing a Bajo quinto (Spanish: "fifth bass") it is a Mexican string instrument from the guitar family with 10 strings in five double courses.
As an old British Rocker who is now in his mid 70's ,I'm really loving these new bands I'm discovering. Bands like The Warning, BandMaid and Lovebites have revived a love of music that goes back to the 1960's. These ladies are wonderful
Try also - "Liliac", "Sixsters" (ua-cam.com/video/t3dKGubJVGU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=TheSixsters), "VOB" (Voice of Braceprot)(ua-cam.com/video/WPVo_QyS0Hw/v-deo.html&ab_channel=VoiceofBaceprot) , "Dea Matroni" , "Motion Device" , "Plush" and some future ones "Kids for Kids" (ua-cam.com/video/ApgUpGS6kAE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=KidsRockForKids) and Nandi Bushell
Beautiful song. Hits different. Could tell you felt it deeply
The instrument he's playing IS a 10-string. It's called a Bajo Quinto.
I love your authenticity. Awesome reaction! You might want to check out Enter Sandman from this concert. It’s so much more than a cover. It’s an experience.
Cambridge Dictionary define revenant as : "someone who has returned, especially someone who returns to life after being dead". DPA are well read, well informed, and especially well spoken in what is their second language and introduce many well used images in their writing.
Take Care
David
I think you need to and are ready to listen to their Ted Talk from 2017
I believe you will understand even more!
They're all wonderful singers but PAU is the complete package and fire for the band.
You’re correct, the reason the Dr Simi doll disappeared is that they used footage from both nights they performed this song, and married it to the audio of one performance. 👍😎
This concert is actually video from two back to back performances they did in CDMX... there are a couple WTF moments where there are continuity issues and you found one with the Dr. Simi doll. Great catch!
Actually reversed. Ale is doing the falsetto harmony. She has the most beautiful high range, even though she usually gets stuck doing the low side. I'm a 57 year old metal dude who cries to many of their songs. Black Holes, 23, and Breathe wreck me every time. Pau likes to have her way with my emotions.
Don't forget Pau's version of Creep.
@@johnhawkins_twa we didn't need to go there. Yes, it's beautiful, heart wrenching, and glorious. Pau is pure emotion. I will say that Dany can give her a run for the money with her midnight concerts. I've cried to many of those.
If you want a "feel" song, check out Breathe from the Pepsi Center. Breathe is a very personal song to Pau and I have heard Pau only included it in the Error album because they promised her she'd never be forced to perform it live. The Pepsi Center concert was the one and only time she's ever performed it live that I am aware of. I also don't believe there are any official videos of it. Only the fan cams from the audience.
If you do Breathe, it might be better to first hear it as the intermission at Theatro Met, then do Pepsi center, since it's played in full in the former and gives one a sense of the stakes for the latter.
@@Biomirth The Metropolitan version is just the album version, and while it's still emotional, it does not have the same impact.
@@balgus82 ...the same impact as when you already know the song and then get to hear it at Pepsi Center.
@@balgus82 "just the album version". Lol, wut? Do you have 1000s of people do that when you listen to it? I have to get your A/V guy on the line.
I love the rocksongs from Error, but Breathe and Revenant are my Favourites, because they are able to show their emotional soft side in the most beautiful way. And to you RttS, I love your reaction and passion. Rock on!😍🤘
to the next.....🤗
DPA 🔥🔥🔥 TWA 🤘🤘🤘 UK
Verse #2 reminds me of Taylor Hawkins 😔. They opened for the Foo’s the last show he played.
R.I.P. 🕊 T.H. 🤘🕊❤️🤘
Hey we did it UA-cam! "Got 'im!". But nah, nobody wants to get ya. We just want to share the joy and it looks like it landed like a stick on a Tom.
If you wanna hear how Dany can "pull it back" when she wants to,you've gotra listen to some of her acoustic "Midnight Shows". The voice of an angel that will melt your heart. The way she interprets other people's songs is absolutely genius!
Glad you watched Revenant early on your journey with The Warning! While Evolve is my favorite, I think Revenant is their best song, if that makes any sense. Not sure how it can make sense - no drums, Pau singing, 2nd guitarist -- all added up it is unlike any other The Warning song. But I think it demonstrates the girls' versatility, showing the range they can go with their music. And, interpreting the lyrics has its own rabbit hole - about as many opinions as listeners!
If you had a hard time dealing with "Revenant" then "Black Holes" live at The Dakota Bar should push you over the emotion cliff. Just consider that it was written by a 13 year old genius, and performed when she was 15.
ua-cam.com/video/lM8KeQ_tNQc/v-deo.htmlsi=RBa0VHOvBtJJsmHa
ADHDs unite 🤘🏽
that was super fun😂
Yes, we should ALL unite!!
I am a slow- to mid-tempo guy mostly, even when it comes to punk. But it’s beautiful that TW can appeal to someone like me as much as they appeal to had rock and metal fans.
Thanks! When reacting really works is when we as fans of DPA get to witness someone experience the feelings we had when we first heard a song, and we then experience them all over again. You are on the journey that I started 4 years ago, and it is quite a ride!!! This is such a beautiful song.
Next, please, check out from this same concert, the song "Narcisista" which also has Paulina sing lead. There is also another song she sings lead called "Breathe" but that one you have to check the studio version as there are no good quality live version videos.
I used to skip this song, but this version really won me over, it´s just beautiful.
Ale does the falsettos and usually does the low stuff. Pau has some unique vocal abilities as well. She shows that in Disciple in this concert of all concerts. While they're still young, you'll never run out of material with them as even their "little kid" music is worth spending time on (see their concert at their private school Liceo). Dakota Bar shows off their first album, and Lunario their second (concept album...creepy stuff from the mind of genius Pau).
I think if somebody ever does a movie or tv series adaptation of Blood Meridiian, this song should be on the opening or end credits.
This band and this music makes you feel. Full stop. That’s why we love them. Cry away dude, that’s kind of a common thing in The Warning Army. Enjoying your journey. Wait till you get to Black Holes, or When I’m Alone. :)
Agreed, as well as Breathe, all 3 songs at the X concert. Talk about making a grown man cry with the emotion in these songs.
Believe it or not... IMO, the lyric video version sounds even better.
You must heard black holes ....amazing song of Pau....when she has 13 years
I think I'll wait for the The Warning Air Force to be a thing to join. I elect Dr. Simi (the doll on Dany's knee) as my copilot. Then we can do combined forces (including the Madiacs?) operations.
10 string bajo quinto and cowboy boots/hats are popular with mariachi bands. Primo (cousin in Spanish) may be their actual cousin. Even though, Villarreal is common in Monterray.
Now seriously. This is gorgeous. Thank you for the review.
Dany just playing with a dr simi in her lap.
Just Dani things.
We all get TW tears at some time . . . I expect it lol . .
⚡️⚡️⚡️🤘🏼⚡️⚡️⚡️
I think you are ready to jump to something completely different from them: Queen of the Murder Scene. You mentioned metal, you said different. Well, the Warning Army is going to agree with this one. And, of course, live from Teatro Metropolitan as well!
TW 🤟
Once you get fone with teatro Metropolitan Lunario should be next. Another great concert when they were younger.
🤟⚡🤘💪🇲🇽
If you really want to drive yourself crazy, count how many picks are on Dany's mic stand from shot to shot.
Still majorly enjoying your journey. ❤
Not sure what history you might have with substance abuse/addiction with either yourself or friends/family and people close to you, but Pau wrote a song when she was 13 that those in TWA that DO have "war stories" on that battlefield have all been profoundly touched by called Black Holes that is kind of a Secret Garden kind of song.
It may be the one song that remains on every top ten list no matter how good each new release is.
If you know someone that had a brush at all with addiction then it WILL cause tears. Grown men with tattoos and beards and surly dispositions have been reduced to weeping reflections of themselves. Probably the best version to begin with is @Dakota Bar. Look for it when you need a good cry.
I LOVE THIS BAND !!
✌️💖🎼
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Dany is doing the lower tones and Ale is doing soprano
I'm glad you felt it dude, and it will hit hard, but TWA hasn't even smashed you with "When I'm Alone," or "Breathe" yet lol. Glad you enjoyed it; great reaction.
Can't wait!
7:49 8:59 just an FYI , they played 2 nights, and they used used video from both nights to make the youtube videos.
Consecutive as in Saturday and then Monday nights.
@@Biomirth - oops, sorry for the mistake, I corrected it !
Love your reactions man. Loving. And I love watching when you're blown away I just giggle along with your feelings it's so nice to get the goosebumps along with you once again. I discovered them about 5 months ago. I've got tickets in October on the 15th in Vancouver front section and then on the 16th in Kelowna front section. Me so excited.
Can I suggest that you listen to Dull knives cut better.
Please check out the lunario version first. Because you haven't seen anything from that concert yet when they were 17, 15 and Ale was only 13. It sounds like she has an active Bass. I know you know the kind with the battery in it and it's so freaking rocking it's amazing it's swallows and bites at the same time it's so cool.
And this song is amazing and you will love it. But it's too short for its own good. So I recommend you check out that one and in the same video you also check out next the version from their cave.
Cuz it's exciting as well and they always play to the cameras as if there's an audience regardless of whether there is or is not. That's a good thing. And then check out the one from Teatro metropolitan, just to see their growth so beautifully. I think this may have been the first song that they wrote for the concept album the queen of the murder scene. Their second album. I mentioned it elsewhere but it's one of the best concept albums ever. Dust to dust is the first song on it. You really have to explore that whole side of their teen years because you haven't. Paulina comes home from school one day and says I've come up with an idea for a concept album somewhat like a novel and it's about a woman or should I say a girl whose love is unrequited possibly because the person she loves doesn't know it but she murders him and then her mind breaks and she's utterly insane but then there's all the little redemptive moments. Danny portrays the Crimson Queen murderous with the bloody claw marks on her neck and hand.
Dude it's just one of the most brilliant things ever. Again like I said elsewhere before this my entire life the Ziggy Stardust and the spiders from Mars retirement show in 73 is my favorite concert of all time but lunario is right up there with it, like no other show ever has been for me.
Do you feel me.
Thanks so much for your artistic add.
Do you see what I did there.
I am autistic but not ADHD, and I really struggle with songs being interrupted when I'm first listening (don't worry, I've heard this enough for your pausing not to bother me). I'm a member of two armies (TWA and the Nightwish Army), which doesn't sit right in my head: I feel like there's a conflict of loyalties but I can't help it. Ah well. Hope your birthday went smoothly, mine was last week; as another YTer posted recently, they can be problematic.
You didn’t imagine the Mr. Simi doll - the video is compiled from footage from two concerts. They performed at Teatro Metropolitan on two different nights, selling out both. UPDATE: I noticed you figured it out toward the end of the video.
Oh thank fuck!! I thought I was on something that I didn't remember taking!! lolololololololol
