You know it would be a really cool mechanic in a shooter that if you try to reload while being shot at, you fumble the mag a bit. Otherwise reloading it smoothly in calm situations. I guess if it isn’t done right it would probably get annoying after a while. Maybe it would work in a Halo spinoff game where you play as a Marine, watching Mjolnir Spartans eat the dust beside you and you’re essentially a little shrimp trying to survive against a covenant army.

@@damsen978you can because this was already done for the halo 2 uncut mod at one point though it was later changed because it was odd for a mod that was being worked on to restore cut content from halo 2 for example the battle rifle had its retail animation sped up a bit with an additional charging handle animation added on to it since people complained about the retail ma5 animation from halo ce being too slow for the battle rifle even though the animation is more accurate which sucks that it was removed.

Hozq was badass. Would've liked to see more people do the mag fling that Keanu came up with though. Seen a couple do it, and one guy flipped it out using the mag, which was also a nice touch. Always thought the reload felt a little slow and clunky for a futuristic super-soldier version of John Wick. But still, the jammed bolt was easily my favorite.
I was hoping that at least one of them would throw the rifle away and keep the empty magazine to put into a completely new rifle, regardless all of them are amazing.

Imagine playing as different characters in one game like H3:ODST did except everyone reloads their own way both with rounds in mag, empty, whilst crouched and that 1% chance of a funky Ranon reload. This just proves how you can reload a gun differently 52 times, amazing work
Since we know that canonically many of the weapons in Halo trace their linage back to modern weapons, I am now convinced that the AR is based on the HK Roller Delayed Platform
bro many other gun designs use that kind of charging handle too, and pretty much all of them are piston desgins AUG, Desert Tech MDR, Tavor, F2000, MSBS Grot just name a few

I think Vi's (0:39) is the best. It's simple and realistic. Mouka's (3:24) is also good, but very fun. It's like CE in VR. I did hope to see people animate a bolt open from a freshly fired mag, ejecting/loading, then closing the bolt.

I liked Karrot's the most.
Many have a lot of flair to them but Karrot's displays character variation that you can put yourself into believably.
He wastes too much time just inserting the mag into the gun. No professional gun handling operator would do that.
