Yes, there is the Quad God but there only one Nathan Chen. He the one that pushed the sport to what it is today. The Quad God will truly be the Quad God once he has surpassed the Quad King achievements. Six times national titles, consecutive Three times world titles , ( he probably would had won 2020 if it had not been canceled) Olympic gold metal etc. ( he should had won 2018 Olympic but He didn’t have his mental game on ) I BELIEVE the Quad God has the ability to achieve Nathan achievements or maybe even surpassed him. Ironically, the Quad God is able to do Quad Axel which was Nathan weakest jumps.
@@aspen327 I'm very excited about Quad God Ilia with his Quad Axel. Nathan Chen has NOT tried a QA in competitions. I remember his coach said that it was too much risk of injury for too little reward. Ilia might or might not surpass Nathan Chen technically because Ilia still needs to be adept to ALL his Quads, not only the Axel. But, time is on Ilia's side since he's still young and can grow technically and artistically. Nathan Chen is uniquely Nathan Chen because of his many successful Quads within one program and his style sets him apart from other competitors. Time will tell about Ilia Malinin.
335.30 is the number that Ilia will need to overcome in additional to 6 nationals, 3 world titles, 2 Grand Prix final golds, and an Olympic gold. See if he can do it. Even with the 4A he only scored 280 which is 55 points from the record. Continue to incorporate 4A in a program might enhance the chance of injuries. Don't know if it is worth it.
Not even close yet ,if you talking about Malinin ,when he matches Nathan records and his titles-then maybe ,as of now -one quad Axel -not enough
Even many Quad Gods will not change the fact that Nathan Chen is and will be the only one.
