- Slint plays Breadcrumb Trail at soundcheck, Aug 25th 1989 at the Court Tavern in New Brunswick , NJ. while someone is reading an Eighteen Wheeler Fanzine.
The first image is the flyer from the show.
If i had to describe Slint's music with only 1 word it would had to be "haunting"

They were only 19 here I wish in 3 years I'm going to be doing the same amazing shite, now I'm already light years away of that
same here. Made a band but hard to find consistent players
@@chickennn4451 Do it for the music and the music will do it for you.
Just find people who are as headstrong and motivated as you. No matter if they've ever picked up an instrument

Hello Dreamers
I’m so happy this recording exists

One of the earliest recordings of post-rock? Only one year after Spirit of Eden

Mother of god, that bass guitar tone.
Fucking hollow! No hope and so damn perfect for the music as a whole
@@jaysonwilson2697Summed up perfectly bruh
@@dantheface2986 Thank ya sir. I love this early footage
We slintpostin' gang
Played dozens of shows there in the 2010s and we have a video of the last one. I was wearing my Spiderland shirt that I got at one of the 2007 shows. Seeing this made my day
This is awesome. I think the vocals do genuinely add something special to the instrumentals but they are great on their own too.
thx again leo fender for the telecaster..from hank to slint to soundgarden. the machine.
Beautiful, would love to b there
1:32 i got chills up my spine
History in the making, music way ahead of its times. Sometimes I wonder why they call this math rock... this awkward, lyricless, spiritless execution reminds me why.
Henry Chinaski not ahead of its time. Alternative/grunge was already becoming a thing. Moss Icon started that emo/screamo deal back in the 80s. This came just in time.
It’s only called math rock retroactively. It’s closer to post rock in the original sense of the genre but who gives a shit
G Puppy what does alternative/grunge have anything to do with them being/not being ahead of their time?
@@george9822 This is nothing like typical grunge/alternative rock.
this is punk music
Where's the furry, damn it?!
Fantastic
Thank you for uploading this gold stuff.
“ They took an hour and a half to set up” brilliant

Someone in r/thomastheplankengine had a dream that there was a bait-and-switch meme with this exact performance of breadcrumb trail
@@TurtleYTPMV yea i found out the same day i posted that, i made a vid like that months ago, i wonder if a redditor saw it and legitimately saw it on a dream or just wanted to steal credit

Yes, I know Slint were one of the inventors of Post Rock and all, but to me this is what should be labeled Grunge if anything
definitely not.
Yeah totally. While we're at it , Sutcliffe Jügend should be smooth jazz , Abruptum should be easy listening , and Jean-Louis Costes should be Trip Hop.
There's definitely massive crossovers with Slint and Nirvana's sound... All of you people who deny that are too far down the Wormhole. Zoom out!
@@barryscott1989 It's almost like more than one band owns a 70s manufactured chorus pedal and some late 60s Fender amps. W-O-W !
