    I love selling photos and do well with them. The first photo I ever sold was a WW2 plane that crashed in a field. Started the auction at $8. In 3 bids it sold to guy in Hawaii for $73!

    Don, thanks to you I am looking for photos. I spent $15 on a lot of aboutu 50+ old pictures at an antique mall and sold 2, $27.50 and $24. Got my money back and more to sell. Thank you.

    Greetings from Pa. My wife purchased a lot of Saturday Eveing Post from the 1900's at an auction in Johnstown. We were wondering if they have value? Researching value on Ebay and Google lately sucks! Items like the above are not easy to find. Is there a source to do better research on old paper items? Thanks you. Live your channel! We learn a lot from you.

    In 20+ years I've only come across old photo's once in a thrift store. I'm not sure if photos were previously sold or were never put out on the floor.

    You and I share the same love. I make most of my money from old photos. I buy up whatever is out there and take my time reviewing. Most are surprised if what I find. The best is when I tie them to ww 1 & 2 love letters. Fantastic investment!

    Always helpful information. We have been with these items for many years in all different formats. IMHO, is the decision to break up an album or not.

    I have a lot of old vintage black and white photos. unfortunately to sell for big money, you need to identify the place and location. nostalgia people would buy vintage b&w photo where they grew up or where they used to live. vintage military photos, women, famous places, they're good to sell.

    This must no longer apply because almost none of the images for sale on ebay from the 1800s and 1900s even have so much as a single watcher and don't look to be selling at all no matter what the price. Many of the photos are in fantastic condition.

    Yep. Was eyeing some photo albums on auction because I learned from you. Price gets too high, and I figure they’re just another Prof fan…the ONLY time I don’t like my fellow fans. ;-)

    I have black and white slides of photos from 50s & 60s.would that still be considered collectables? I have over 100 slides I never personally viewed them but the writing on the slide case's give the dates and content of each slide now would it be better to sell the slides or should I get them printed out?? Thanks for any info anyone May be able to offer

    Did your listing views go to zero ? Mine appear to have reset to zero and the color of view font changed also. Sorry for the random question

    • @JbombTheGreat

      This is a new change ebay is launching with the Spring seller update. Listing views will no longer have a "lifetime" counter. Views will now be counted on a rolling 30-day cycle. The views will now reflect how many times a listing has been viewed in the past 30 days. My listings are still showing the lifetime count, but it sounds like some people's accounts have already switched over to the 30-day version.

    The WW1 plane photos look too glossy from the reflection to be originals from that time period. More likely reprinted many years later. The Hirohito picture is probably one of many photos the Japanese government produced for propaganda. I've had hundreds like that. Real collectors in this niche will know the difference and pay appropriately. Usually they feel a little thicker than the average photo paper of the time.

    If you had the original negatives of these photos could you keep developing prints and sell them over and over?

    • @charlesforeman9438
      @charlesforeman9438 2 роки тому

      They would be classed as reprints & not original, wouldn't they? I wouldn't think that you would get much for them reprints.
