Why did he put the boat in neutral the whole time? He must be new. You do not try to wait for the sets to pass whilst you are in the back line, lol.
You have obviously never run a boat across a shallow bar there is a saying better to say nothing and be thought a fool than to say something you know nothing about and remove all doubt

Been at sea many times and never had to do this. Rough! I have had to put my seabag on the outside of my bunk to keep from being rolled out of my bunk tho....!

I spent 26 years in CG. And I spent more than one night in my half-triced up rack. Otherwise you wake up on the deck with a few extra bruises.
Great video, just wondering why the crew would be still be on deck, whilst the trawler is going over the bar. Surely they would be safer inside until the vessel got through to the other side?
Far as I’m aware of they have to stand on deck crossing the bar just in case it capsizes they don’t get caught in it.

He could’ve given a bit more after he had punched through also the vessels have been going slow because it’s been so shallow they don’t want to hit the ground hard.
