I like the contrast between the game and the show. In the game, cuphead is the hero and mugman is just a sidekick (well, the name of the game is CUPHEAD, and most of people play with cuphead instead mugsy). But in the show is totally different, mugman has his own strong personality, and many times he is the protagonist.
The one thing they have in common mugman is the responsible brother and cup head is the idiot who sold their souls to the devil in the casino- they both had a personality before the show- but with more dialogue its more flashed out with zaney antics as well

In a show called Red Dwarf, there’s an episode called the Polymorph, an alien boards their spaceship and can transform into anything. So they’re walking around trying to find it, Kryten just yells ‘IT’S THE WALL!!!’
