Wow praise God! I don't know how I end up to this channel. Great episode! I learn a lot from you guys! I wanna thank you my fellow brother and sister in Christ you made my day and to see that there are still light in these fallen world. What an inspiration to see you guys represents how you love the Lord by allowing Him to be the center of your relationship. You allow your marriage to be a testimony of the love of Christ. I wanna share about how to have God's best. It is done by God's will ( Scripture)+ God's way ( Godly counsels) + God's timing ( Waiting time or character building - while you wait you allow God to transform you first to be the person He/She wants you to be) but the root is it should be founded by Christ first. Nice
Proverbs 3:5-6. Cling to this verse , repent of your sins and invite Jesus in your heart to rule your life forever
And you shall be saved! Not only that, stay faithful, ask God to give your heart’s desires and God will give you the desires of your heart. That is His promise and He will stand on His promise.

Its a waste of time coz the man once successful will not stand with u. Resist. Don't be a stepping stone. Let men get it right before mariage. Be in a position to run your home before getting someone's daughter to suffer with u. We are humans not birds😀
@@terryray3147 I'm glad your comment & reasoning agrees with my statement. We celebrate the few heroes amongst us, 🥂
For us Filipinas, it's a SHAME to ask from a groom (and/or his family) for anything like "dowry" especially in form of "money" for the marriage because for us, it sounds like SELLING our dignity as a woman. But we find it rightful for the man to cover the expenses of the marriage ceremony to make us feel valued and special (as woman). Filipino parents want their grownup (legal age) children to have full control of their own life-- to exercise their rights and responsibilities for themselves-- and that includes the right to choose the person who they like to share and spend their life with. Parents should never intervene their (children's) happiness especially in the matter of the "heart".
It is very true..
Its not selling its a sign of thanking your parents for bringing you up that's it and it not money only it could be anything
@@anniemarie8577 For Filipino parents, it's enough for them to see their daughter found a man who will truly love and take care of her like they did. In Filipino culture, giving their daughter's hand in marriage is PRICELESS, so they will NOT ACCEPT or DEMAND any amount because it's like selling their daughter to the groom or to the family of the groom. I am not against other cultures, please Kenyan brothers and sisters. I am just explaining about our (Filipino) culture in marriage. I hope no one will get offended by my statements. God bless us all 🙂🙂
True
It's depends the religion because if a must not allowed with out dowry that's the rules. If christian yes don't have it.
How can you not loved this man? He’s so mindful and appreciative of the wife and the kids being in his life!
She is a super woman,,,,thank u to her,,,,Asians ain’t easy when it comes to Africans,,indeed a few will do what she did,,,she saw love beyond everything,,,May God keep them together forever

Eric is a luckyblessed man that he met his beautiful unicorn wife Grace. She truly loves this African brother to ride this rollercoaster life and handle all the struggles and challenges. A lot of Filipinas are flippant when it comes to the matters of love and marriage if there are financial challenges or some challenges.
I agree with you...Eric is simply lucky. I've lived in the Philippines and I would say that very, very few Filipinas are like his wife. Yes they love dating foreign men but it's mostly for the 'benefits', and once that 'benefits' is not forthcoming; you then start seeing their true colors including hostility from their extended families.

Hi Esther, pitia kwangu unisupport pia 🙏 💖
There was a dowry in the Philippines in the early times according to my late grandma, but as times passed by and modern era brought changed, tons of things changed, some of the cultures also changed and dowry just vanished. In the early times, the groom in the Philippines would go to the family of the bride to do certain things to win the blessings and approval of the parents like doing household chores etc. whch was also part of the Philippine dowry culture. And again as modern times brought so many changes, it also as affected that part of Philippine culture when the groom would do things for the bride's family to win their blessings and approval. But the PAMANHIKAN culture is still practiced in most parts of the Philippines which Eric should have researched about and which he should have done if he didn't do it.
PAMANHIKAN is when the groom and his parents/family would plan to go to the bride's family to FORMALLY ask the hands of the bride from her parents. They would usually bring things like foods etc. And that's when he would FORMALLY talk to the bride's parents and together with his parents, would ask the blessings and permission of her parents to marry him. That's PAMANHIKAN. If Eric did that, the parents if his wife would have definitely endeared him to them. It is part of Philippine culture, especially of marriage.
detailed. thanks
The man is also amazing .
I know understand why Grace fell in love with him .

I'd like to correct the notion that "there's no dowry in the Philippines" in fact dowry is very much existing in some places or in some regions in the country and it depends on what particular ethnic groups. Dowry is prevalent in the southern most of the Philippines or in Mindanao among our brother and sister Muslims there. 😊
Yes I agree because one of my friend tell about dowry in thier place somewhere in Mindanao,
Yes ! Absolutely true.
It's still excist in some part of the county...
I'm African based here in the Luxembourg,,I paid mine and I am married to a Filipina as well
I'm a pilipina muslem.
Yeah only if the Filipina is Muslim from Mindanao but predominantly Filipinas are Christians like 90 %. Mindanao region is a different story. They ate Filipinos born n raised there but follow the Muslim culture…

Hello lynn,i only view your show just now,and i love the content of your show and i'm your new subscriber from Davao Philippines.in fact lynn natives here in the philippines still pays dowry to the family of the bride, but to educated pilipinos that is already absurd,in fact many pilipinos now share with the expenses of the wedding, the reason is parents would say we are not selling our daughters so if the couple decided to get married and short of budget we partake in the expenses.Good for eric she found a girl that didn't belong to the indigenous people, because indigenous people really ask for big dowry...GOD is really with eric.👍👍👍GOD bless your program lyn and the family of eric🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
