I was willing you to turn that shutter cocking/film advance ring 😄. You should do more videos like this where you try to figure out how to operate quirky cameras for the first time.
I have a green edition of this crazy camera, it's not very ergonomically made, especially when you put a lens shade on the lens, adjusting the focus is a nightmare, but the photos it produces are beautiful 😊
@@thephotographersbag Yes, a very interesting film winding system and the lens is very high quality, you will be satisfied with the results. I noticed that the red color is very pronounced in the photos taken by Werra, I don't know if it's because of the lens or because of the film. Basically this is a very interesting camera with a very good lens 🙂
Hi, the Contina was launched in 1953 by the West Germany based Zeiss, the Werra was launched by the East Germany based Zeiss Jena, in 1954, so very close to each other, well spotted....
I had one a few years ago. They perform well and the quirky film advance is unique.

It appears roughly comparable to the Zeiss Ikon Contina. I wonder which came first?
