Awesome. We just bought 40 acres 90 percent wooded land so we can do large gardens and chickens maybe goats. I have deer and turkeys roaming for hunting already
Hey Mike plz continue with the 101 prep vids definitely very helpful but also the rest of your content very weird how I couldnt find your channel a couple days ago.Anyways keep em coming learn something new everytime💪🏾👌🏾
Keep up the good work and videos man. I just bought a 23 Colorado ZR2 and I’ve been re watching all of your new and old videos just to get that thing ready and get ideas together for what I want to do. Hoping to add enough to it to take it to overland expo here in Colorado. Keep doing you no matter what the algorithm tries to do 🫡💪🏼
Definitely need a deep dive on freeze drying. I have a surplus of eggs with 15 chickens for a family of three and want to be able to preserve the food long-term.
You have an awesome video on water. Maybe put it in the Prepping 101 playlist. Or like you said, make a new one. Either or, since water is even more important than food. Maybe also do a "Pet Prepping" video ? I think that would be a fun video and important for people with dogs and cats. Security would also be a cool one for the Prepping playlist, for like house security. Again, you have an older video on house security already, very good one, but if you're making the water video again, maybe also remake that one. Energy/power ? Maybe ? Vehicle prepping ? Can't think of anyone better for making that one. Stuff we must keep for our vehicles, vehicles we should have, types, bikes, trucks, etc (I know you kind of talk about it in one of the truck videos). Also maybe Fun Prepping ? hahaha Like maybe keeping card games and board games to have fun with the family in a grid down scenario. So the whole family don't go crazy, is important to have fun moments. So yeah. =) Thx for the awesome video. Lots of awesome info in this one. =)
Video idea. Could you make a video as far as shtf "apocalypse" ect. clothing? There's not much out there as far as materials and stuff. I feel like most people understand the basics. cotton kills layering in cold is king, down is nice and light, but on the flip side, most down jackets would get shredded by a few thorns. wool can get heavy but insulates when wet. A nice carhartt jacket will last forever but doesn't pack down all that great. Love the content!
Don't use boiling water for your honey liquefaction! A crockpot on low works great, you ideally want to keep the water below 140F to keep it from pasteurizing. If it is already pasteurized than by all means use as hot of water as you want but if you took the time to collect your own or purchase raw honey, keep it under 140F.
On top of the 101, and some added content for the channel😏 It'd be cool to get into the weeds for each topic. I love learning all tiny details about subject. For example I needed some boots for tactical usage, I first found the good overview, but after diving into each detail of the boot, I landed on Lowa's, the price hurt but my feet felt amazing, even after rucking and sprinting through the woods, with plenty of extra weight and gear on me for 9 miles. Had I went the quick cheap route like some of the other people with me, I'd be in major pain like them and having blisters. Just my 2 cents😁😁😁
Love the prepping videos. Most of he prepping channels are either boring or the sky is falling people. I obviously see a need for preparedness, but not every disaster is a nuclear bomb or Russian Paratroopers.
I have a serious question. If it were to "come down", what would you do about friends and family that come knocking on your door knowing that you are well prepared?
Alright. when you mentioned at 1:20 or so that things are weird on UA-cam…I just recently got a gx550 OT+, and thought “I wonder what that Toyota tactical dude thinks of the GX” then my next thought was, dang my algorithm hasn’t been serving me any of his videos, what’s up with that? That sent me on few minute journey of me inputting search queries for your channel like “tactical tundra house build” “tactical rav 4 build” etc etc. The last search is what turned up the video of your wife’s rav 4 from 3 years ago or so…This looks to me like you’re being shadow banned or some engagement manipulation is happening, as I’ve watched tons of your content over the years, and had to do this same exact process months before to find you. Subscribed now, won’t happen again. Thanks for all the good content.
Appreciate the feedback! Yeah I've heard a bunch of people tell me similar things, so I'm not really sure what's up. Hope things get back to normal. Thanks for taking the extra steps to find me though!
Great info! You’re one of the first guys that I’ve heard talk about rotating protein or other foods based on expiration date and having minimal waste. It’s a practical starting point for a lot of people! I know a “prepper“ that every couple of years he’s giving away a bunch of canned goods right at the expiration date because he hast to go buy a bunch of new stuff 😅
You can’t go wrong with spam, they’re delicious especially with rice and pretty much everything you can create with it. Yeah spam isn’t healthy but it not like we eat them everyday. Don’t forget coffee! It a MUST😎👍 I gotta ask how long did your Apple Watch last before you had to recharge? I know their battery don’t last a long time and have to recharge within a day or 2… I have Garmin Fenix 5x plus and it last 25 days before I had to recharge. I hope the new Apple Watch battery will last little longer, it supposed to announce soon.
I like this content from you. We raise a garden, lots of weeds too lol, each year. For the past 3 years we have been raising meat birds. Its not as hard as one might think, especially if you have a processor near by. In 7 weeks your little investment of about $12-14 per chick of food, water and the hatchling itself will have turned into an abundant food resource of about 5lbs with a market value on the very low end of $20 for a pasture raised chicken, all containing 0% salt brine in the packaging (waste of money when buying by weight at the store), 0 hormones, 0 vaccines should you choose that option, and 100% cage free and free ranging if you run them on pasture after the brooder. They make great barter items for the freezer and a great source for your own nutrition and for your family and friends. Taking control of your food situation, even if just in a small way, is a very good feeling.
Awesome video! I keep the preparedness videos in my watch later playlist so I can watch them once or twice a year. It prevents me from getting lax on certain aspects when I get busy with day to day life. Appreciate the good info as always!
Sick video brother , these get you thinking for sure , it’s better to know these things especially if you have a family. Would love to see a full video on freeze dried foods and looking forward to the water vid
I've been switching from fresh peanut butter over to a powdered peanut butter. It is not quite as good tasting as the fat is removed but reconstituting it with some water and coconut oil or honey makes a fine spread!
Hey Mike, I just wanted to give a thanks for all the years of your great videos on UA-cam. Me and my wife sit down and watch them all the way through every time IT drops in my notifications. so excited for you and your future just thought I’d give him a little bit of feedback, one thing I would love to see more of would be you talking about or reviewing things that make you ecstatic sometimes we almost feel like you’ve grown to care more about the viewers than you’re own desire. It feels weird for me to say and don’t take this the wrong way, but I miss the old Mike the guy that would get so excited to share a video he made content about things h e was really invested i. these days. It seems as if you are not as passionate about the things you are discussing on your UA-cam channel. Please bring back that passion and excitement. Stop Doing things that seem like a chore, give us something that makes your heart flutter. I understand in your old age things that you were passionate about become dull. Just bring back the shine bring back the joy in things you wanted to give to us. The first part of this video made me feel like you were excited to talk about prepping it seems as if you have outgrown a lot of your content, find your niche that spark you had years ago that has seem too dull over the years. I’m using talk to text so half of this is not coming out the way I wanted it to just know that me and my wife really enjoy your videos but would like to see you find that spark that has dwindle down to a mirror speck hope I’m not too harsh and I do realize you are not a young spar like you once were but take it you would like. just do me a favor and look past what you think we want to see find something you love and share it with us like Mike used to for so many years
I would like to add you are far from old. I just see a difference between you five years ago and the version of you today not anything bad i my comment was honest feedback meant to be constructive criticism. We all change and I’ve adapted to the new you. I just wanted to add a few thoughts to ponder when making videos you’ve always said you are not interested in pleasing the viewers and lately I’ve seen otherwise love you, man. Hope all is well and never consider, not making content. I would be devastated.
I eat carnivorish now. Now my $1000 of dried goods really are survival food because i dont want to eat that stuff anymore. On a side note. Look to buy from bulk suppliers, say for kitchens that dont require business info. Get big 40 lb bags, rebag and preserve accordingly. Another thing we did as a community was that one member happened to have a business food related. Then made account with different grocery suppliers that required a business to sign up. Made bulk orders and divided up the orders into smaller sizes at wholesale prices. A spin off group is building weekly organic veg/fruit boxes to anyone (locally) for a smidge of a fee for facilitating to process. Almost at cost for wholesale. Cutting out the grocery store incase things get weird again. Also to sace money, abd build comnunity!
I'm enjoying this series. Here's some engagement for the algorithm!
👊🏽🍻
These are the best videos from LLOD. Remember when he ate MH for a week straight? Love the diversity of this channel. Keep it up, bro.
Really appreciate that!
Awesome. We just bought 40 acres 90 percent wooded land so we can do large gardens and chickens maybe goats. I have deer and turkeys roaming for hunting already
The prepped type content is some of my favorite! Keep them coming!
Keep up the good videos Mike!! Really like the prepping 101 series. Would like to see you and a helper demonstrate stuck vehicle recuses!!
I've watched your earlier content and I enjoy this format more. Nice work
These prepping 101 videos are the ones I enjoy the most on this channel 👌
Great video Mike!! Looking forward to the water one. That is the one area my family group needs to dial in.
I’d love some harvest right freezer drying videos.
I am prepared to utilize DoorDash when SHTF. Safer to not leave the house
It's certainly an option worth trying... Haha
☠️☠️
Hey Mike plz continue with the 101 prep vids definitely very helpful but also the rest of your content very weird how I couldnt find your channel a couple days ago.Anyways keep em coming learn something new everytime💪🏾👌🏾
This was a GREAT video. Very helpful LLOD. We thank you as always brother!!

Thanks for free info Mike, cheers to the algorithm 🤘🏼
Thanks for all the time and work you spend to bring these information type videos to us.
Love the hour long videos talking about different topics
Definitely need a deep dive on freeze drying. I have a surplus of eggs with 15 chickens for a family of three and want to be able to preserve the food long-term.
Greatly appreciate this content!

great series you're doing I always enjoy your videos especially these gear/prep videos.
Ag1 is great! Also keep up the great work. Love your videos.
I like the prepper content if the algo is listening. Not a complete freak, but feel more prepared than most.
These prepping videos and around the home are great videos.
My son is a truck driver I bought Peak for his break down bag.
I enjoyed this one. Keep em coming.
Niiiice feels like a throwback! 😂 Absolutely got hooked on your channel from these videos!
Same
Thanks for this helpful info, Mickey 🤙🏽
Thanks for the videos Mike!
Here to help with the algorithm!
The algorithm is definitely burying your videos. I never got a notification on this video, and must coming across it 8 days later, by chance.
Need a freeze dryer video a some point 👍🏻
Did you ever get to try that Blanchard’s Cajun Seasoning that I gave you at the Expo last year?
The best kind of dehydrated meal is the one that doesn't constipate you

Spam and Vienna Sausage😋😋😋
More like this! World is strange these days...
Who would’ve thought I would’ve learned about food prep from growing up poor 😅😅
Definitely need an in-depth video on operating the freeze dryer. Would be helpful to see what it looks like in action. Freeze dry your own food 101
Mike let’s get a separate freeze dryer video!
Yes we need more of this less of Talon more preparedness
Why less of Talon?
@@jaredblack3998 Just don’t like his earrings and skinny jeans he comes across as a guy that has daddy issues I’m sure he’s a fine person

Congrats on the Freeze Dryer! You're going to get so much use out of it!
adding stuff to my prep. Thank you.
you used to pop up all the time on my main youtube page and seems like you just poof have not been showing up in awhile
