In every circumstance, we need to remember that Almighty God is always with us. He was, He is, and He will be. God gave me this song when I hit rock bottom of my life, like there's no way I could break through. And God moved my mind and said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and I've never lost your hands."
I have no idea how God uses this song, but I pray that God pour his grace and heartfelt consolation to all of who listen to this song.....God Bless Y'all!
아내와 단 둘이 정말 아무것도 없이, 잠시 왔다 갈 것이라 생각해 자세한 계획도 세우지 못한 채 시작된 미국 이민생활은 생각보다 더 쉽지 않았고, 내 뜻대로 되는 일은 하나도 없이 이렇게 흘러가도 괜찮은 걸까라는 생각으로 하루하루를 보낼 때 즈음, 기도를 하다가 중단하고 후렴 가사와 멜로디를 적어야 했을 만큼 강력한 감동을 주셔서 탄생한 곡이 '예수의 길'이었습니다. 그리고 그 감동을 왜 주셨는지를 몸소 보여주시는 듯, 이름 없는 작곡가의 찬양을 세계 각지에 필요한 곳에서 불려지게 하시고 많은 사람들이 다시 제게 찬양의 감동과 삶을 나누게도 하시면서 그 분의 역사를 이루어 가시는 것을 확인시키셨습니다.
이미 한 언어로 완성된 곡을 가사의 의미를 최대한 순수하게 살리면서 다른 언어로 바꾸는 일은 결코 쉽지 않았지만, 이것 또한 진행 되는 과정 속에서 내 계획대로 만들어진 것이 아니라 하나님이 원하셔서 이루어진 일이라는 것을 경험하게 하셨습니다.
찬양을 들으시는 모든 분들께 제게 주셨던 동일한 하나님의 위로와 용기와 새 힘이 임하시기를 소망합니다
