im so glad that you're back at it super consistently. maybe its weird to comment this, but i've been watching for a while and when you initially disappeared i was a little bad sad, bbut still hopeful that you'd return. when you started uploading again, i watched with careful optimism, and you're still at it! and im super glad for that! youtube is a slow and grindy game, and you're finally starting to hit the algorithm i think. keep going bro!
I rarely watch long videos on UA-cam and this was a masterpiece, you deserve a lot more fame than what you have now. all I can say is that I am happy to be with you before you reach 100K subs. Keep at it legend
It is a good idea but the problem is that white can capture en passant with check. If you do not know this rule I recommend you look it up as it can come in handy in your own games from time to time.
D5 according to the engines is actually the best move if you look further down the lines! I actually found this as i was watching, then you said it was bad so i paused the video and figured it out. H5 gives a +3 advantage for white and D5 gives -1 for black!
“So, we are playing in a fabulous and funky fashion, but our forces fall behind the lines, you see, the bishop, the knight and the rook are shook, and hiding in the corner” 😮 More. Slam. Poetry. Please!
I just sent the gift of a chess board and Chess Fundamentals by Capablanca to a young lady who is interested in chess. Had it not been for coming across your channel and namely the first video I saw; Capablanca vs. Marshall, I would have never even heard of either of these masters. Thank you for your content and for promoting the game of chess!
Me last night: Turned this on, fell asleep. Woke up 2 hours later, hit replay, fell asleep. Woke up 4 hours later, hit replay, fell asleep. Then I woke up and went to work
Thanks for the awesome content!! I’ve enjoyed these games against AI recently, but I must say I miss the videos featuring historical games being a larger focus. Any chance more of those are on their way? 😁
hey asmr i've watched every single one of your videos since you switched to live boards. are you planning on doing any more classical boards with classic games some time soon? they are my favourite! as always thanks for the video!
Yes I'm working on a video titled "Learn the King's Gambit With Me (And Spassky)" which is Spassky-Fischer, 1960. I'm also working on a video about a young Magnus Carlsen and his Tal-like sacrificial game against Sipke Ernst in 2004 (Wijk An Zee, the video will come out on the 24th - the date the game was played in 2004). Both of those videos are with the big, wooden board.
The line you pointed out at 6:05 with Qa5+ actually DOES work (sort of). Qa5+ Bd2 Qxe5 Qxg4 Qxb2!! and black is crushing. Unfortunately neither Bd2 nor Qxg4 are forced for white, so I don't think Qa5+ is anything special after Qa5+ Nc3, for example.
From the design, I can tell this is a localization of the Saitek Alchemist. At max level, this computer I've heard plays at the level of a 900-1000 elo player, so it is not that strong. Also, it has a weak opening book, knowing only around 12 or so openings (for example, it knows Queen's Gambit, but it has a tendency to only play the accepted version) Update: It does know Queen's gambit declined, but it rarely plays it from my experience. It also prefers playing the Nimzo or the Grunfield to 1. d4
You should've played pawn to D5 to attack the queen, it not only attacks the queen but the bishop on C8 defends the Knight, and say Kasparov was to take the pawn you could take back and still have the same thing going.
I like the video very much, but can you always say each moves cordenates pls? I enjoy watching your videos with my eyes closed :) I mean, sometimes you just play them... Again, thank you for the videooo
Great vid as always. Are you telling these machines to play D4? Hard to believe every computer ever always picks a d4 starting move. Don’t think you’ve faced E4 once.
I have a localized version of the board featured in the video (the Saitek Kasparov Alchemist) and it sometimes played 1. e4 against me when I played as black. This board does not have a large opening repertoire (in fact it only knows 16 openings), so you probably won't see more weird openings like the Bird opening since it doesn't know that opening
@@AS-yi1gj It is a literary technique (usually used in poetry) where you combine multiple words together in a row that have the same starting letter/syllable sound/ letters. It is usually done for making things more memorable and sonically pleasing. You can look it up yourself if you want to learn more. I’ll give an example…. Peter piper picked a pair of pickled peppers. (P sound) The crowd cheered when the champion hit the challenger with a chair. (Ch sound) The beautiful bouquet blossomed in the bright sun. (B sound)
I really love your videos. But man, can you please chill on the Budapest. You play it every other video. I am not hating, there is just so many other openings for black in the Queens' gambit lines. Have a nice day!
I'm going to guess the answer is no ;)
only time can tell! :D wether you sleep or not I hope you enjoy the video!

can't wait to rewatch this when I wake up 😴
No cap your videos are god tier level
Cannot wait for the next video that you upload, they're so relaxing plus we learn sooooo much from them! Thanks heaps man!!!
I have to watch your videos 5 times because I keep falling asleep to them

At 6:00 I like the move d7 to d5 attacking the queen while also defending the knight with the bishop

Loved this video, accidentally fell asleep before I could see the whole game but am now rewatching and am really enjoying this alliteration

That is music to my ears! Chess Fundamentals is a perfect book to get into chess and the history of its author makes it so compelling.
The purple light on those white pieces is really something. Im always suprised how you manage to make cheap ugly plastic look aestetically pleasing.
I don’t do much. If the chess shines through it usually works.
😮 you really did that! 🎉 I enjoyed this thoroughly 💯

No they literally all have just played 1. d4

It’s not only good for ASMR by being sonically pleasing, but also is beautiful poetry.
