I am in a wonderful position to get to hang out with my city council rep at my neighbors’ (socially distanced) casual front-yard gatherings, where a handful of people sit in a wide circle and talk about civic matters, among other things. I’m learning so much about how things work in my city. Another neighbor invited me to several meet & greets with candidates for things like state senator, where I also leaned a LOT. There is hope - Houston made great strides in the Mid-Terms. I just hate being represented on a national scale by loathsome people. Still, it’s nice to watch them get dunked on like Cornyn did. Not productive, and embarrassing by association, by satisfying it it’s own way.
My main concern right now is that the pandemic is hitting us harder and harder, yet the general attitude seems to be getting more and more more laissez-faire and even actively against precautions. Here, where the world-famous Texas Medical Center is located!
But I will try to focus on the things I can do, and not get caught up by the things that are beyond my reach. Again, thank you much for your supportive words and your kind nature. A rare and beautiful thing to encounter on UA-cam comments. ✌️

He may be old, but he's a WISE old man who knows how to surround himself with the brightest and most informed people; not criminals and assholes like Agent Orange. It would be better to have the president be someone younger (and I *do* think there should be a requirement that the POTUS be between the ages of 45 and 70). However, with Kamala Harris as his VP, and Preet Bhahara as AG, along with other younger, brilliant minds in key positions, we don't need to worry about Joe. He has already proven to be wizened.

Yet her understanding of Senate rules is what is elementary. I"ll educate you. Sending a bill back into committee that is up for full senate debate is sending it backwards in the legislative process. It is called pocketing a bill.... that is a way to kill a bill without having to take a vote on it. The Democrats voted against DEBATING the bill. Sen. Scott lobbied the Sen leadership to allow up to 20 amendments. EVERYTHING she said could have been added as an amendment to the bill. DEMOCRATS killed police reform and anti-lynching legislation and are being celebrated for it. What is wrong with this country..... well the people of it

Some men have limited their ideas to preconceived ideas and when asked questions come unprepared to think outside the box of modern day issues and problems. It's always easier to just continue the same thinking of the past whether it worked or not. Cornyn is not articulate because he has limited his thinking. And therefore he has limited ability to have a productive discussion. It's not Kamala,'s job to teach him to think. It's his job to research ideas and come prepared for the discussion test.

You could be mediocre or uncaring about a job you had at 18 and kept to this day yet someone who started yesterday may have all the potential in the world to be better than you by the time you’re both dead and gone. Please never forget what it’s like to have a blank resume. You shouldn’t criticize someone for what age they started but rather hold them accountable for what values or lack there off they uphold and the quality of their work.

She didn't need any of the necessary qualifications - like alll the other applicants applying for deputy DA in Alameda county. She had Willie Brown.
Finally, Fresh, there is no evidence that I am aware of (and I have looked ) that indicates Harris ever prosecuted a single case. Where is it? None of her former colleges have ever come forward to claim she was such an outstanding attorney, etc. No one. She didn't need to do a darn thing. She had Willie Brown protecting her.
