We played below our best and still got a precious point. Honestly couldn't be happier with the result. Proud of the boys and very proud of Trent who defended well against Doku who is a beast of a player, and of course scored a wonderful goal and put the City fans in their place with his celebration!

Medias and fans should talk about Matip coming back to his prime as Van Dijk, both are the best paring CB in the league. City needed mistake from us to score but we scored most beautiful goal by building fom back so City performed better than us but we were more efficient, fair result for both teams.

My favourite club!
Liverpool plays really well. In Etihad Stadium were every team lost for 27 consecutive games was incredible. Liverpool broke that combo and beyond that a beautiful goal from Trent. Also, we had good and dangerous chances to score for example the one of Darwin. I am not saying that Man City played awful, it was a tied game, but I think Liverpool has being having awesome games and stats recently, they are a spectacular team (one of the best in the world).❤

2 injuries is devastating right now, hard fought draw in the end but with hardly any time is unfair to the game and the players

Mac Allister though he is a top-quality player definitely isn't a no. 6, Kudus to him for trying so hard to fill a position that isn't his.
His movement in the Man City goal shows that despite his best efforts he's still playing with a number 8 or number 10's instinct.

In all fairness, I think Alisson did well. Foden had clear shots at goal, no defenders stopping him only Alisson to make the saves. Compared to our forwards who had man city defenders giving them no space.
For me, gravenburch will be our engine when he fully finds his feet, hes so underrated 😮🔥
If we compare this result from the previous season, I'd say we did better this time. We definitely have a shot for the title if we play consistently.
Still all about next year for me. A rebuild takes 2 years and we'll sort our defence out next summer. This year is all about getting top 4 and having a decent cup run. Anything more is a bonus

I thought also the same, but if you freeze at 4:47 - 4:48, you can see there is no chance to deliver to Salah. Maybe if Nunez send the ball back to the guy ( maybe Tsimikas? ) who came in the third wave...
The essence of that situation is City defending well.
A lob to Salah would have given a chance for all five City players to get behind the ball and cover all the spaces, same goes for leaving the ball for Tsimikas, pressure had to be kept up.
Also, probably Dom did not mean that as a last pass, while Nunes did and tried to be unpredictable how he should.
All things considered I see no reason for regret. Could have been a better chance with tiny changes like Nunes changing directions twice instead of thrice or Dom's pass is a tiny bit less cautious of City defenders range to get to it. The general flow of the action wasn't bad at all.
