As a hobbyist, it is great to see the process you go through. I enjoy making Kumiko and this video series is so helpful. I must learn not to cut corners, pardon the pun :)
Terrific Work, Taeho! The plans for this lamp are excellent and well worth the modest purchase price. The details in the drawings make this a simpler build than one might expect. 49 pages of precisely measured drawings and even some bonus alternative kumiko panels for the sides of the lamp. I encourage everyone to get the plans and build this lamp. I will be making a scaled down version of this since I prefer a smaller size. Thanks ever so much, Taeho!
Thanks, Peter. The bit is called Big Daddy Bit. However, it's not a carbide bit and will start to burn the wood pretty quickly. I would recommend using a 1/2" or 5/8" spiral bit which is all solid carbide.
Travail splendide , félicitations !!!

Hi Vern, I was about to call you... are you okay?
@@WoodArtStudio1 I’m good, almost have the kumiko frame done, John is coming over Tuesday to work on his. Was going to call after I finished.
Great work as usual, Taeho!
🙏🙏🙏 So Much! 👍😃
This work is just mindblowing!!! Realy beautiful joints.
Thanks for the compliments. 🙏🙏😃
I love the lamp! A lot can be learned just from watching your method of work.
Awesome! Thank you Jim!
You make it look easy Taeho! Looking forward to seeing the rest of this series.
It is an advanced joinery project. But with accurately made jigs, it becomes somewhat intermediate work. Thanks! ^^

What is that big bit that you use to shape? Love the video!
