Foundation is a grid-less, laidback medieval city-building game with a focus on organic development, monument construction and resource management.
As the newly appointed lord or lady of a land still untouched and full of potential, you are given the opportunity to create a prosperous medieval settlement as you envision it, managing your resources and growing population, whilst being challenged by narrative events, quests and missions, from across the kingdom.
From very modest beginnings, build rudimentary workplaces, extract and store resources, establish trade routes, erect majestic monuments and before long... a bustling city will emerge in your new found lands!

To move multiple building parts you gotta hold ctrl and individually left click all the parts then you'll add them all into one to move
I, for one, like your "I'm enjoying myself" style of playing the game. It makes for great content. Great series!
You absolutely stay ON that horse, bud! Play the way that makes you happy 😊
I think the charcoal burners do cut trees but only where it’s painted for woodcutting?
Yes. This.
Maybe someone's already said this, but I've found in my game that adding fences or hedging (I really like the hedges) around the wheat fields really makes people walk around them
You play it your way, Jonti. I enjoy watching you play, and decorate your builds. My current map is an ocean map with a large island just off the mainland. I was going to place my monastery on the island, but I decided today to move my castle/army onto it instead. Plenty of room to place every thing, leaving the mainland for crops, sheep, cows and the monastery.
The fisherwoman you followed in the lake, set out from one of the fishing huts, went fishing, took the boat to the other fishing hut. Then brought the fish across the bridge to the island, over to the other side and back to where she first set of from :p
Just a warning, if you later do the tax on mines, there is a bug and the tax collectors cant go to the big iron or marble deposits, meaning you’ll constantly get the message that a villager can’t get to their destination
Some people just put the cranes and sub buildings on the side not in front of the mineral node and it helped
You can build TWO tooling shacks for more farm workers and larger fields, or fields that will be attended to enough ;)
Okay so I've had this thought for the last few episodes - but with the farms, could it maybe be better to have the farm house in the center of the field so they don't have to walk as far?
Gonna try this on my next farm
I found this worked really well. It was vaguely annoying, because medieval farms didn't work that way, but I got over it. ;)
If your stonemasons are commoners, they are probably complaining that they can’t find a suitable home close enough to their work.
Im looking forward to see some pave roads please.
Won't forbidden zones in your fields also prevent the fields from being harvested?
Is doing “remove resources” quicker than having a lumber camp chop down the wood?
I think so, but you don't harvest the wood so the resources are somewhat wasted
Just build fence instead of using forbidden 😂
