  • What happens when a person dies? What becomes of them? African thought and spirituality have addressed these questions with remarkable insight for thousands of years. This deep understanding of death is shared across the diverse traditions of the African continent.
    ]In this video, we explore the unified spirituality of Africa, using the cosmogony of Iounou (Heliopolis) in Egypt as our guide.

      That is correct. We have a shared history. This is what those so called Egyptologists cannot steal from us. Our ancestral umbilical cords are buried in the Great lakes region of Africa.

    Listening to this I find some similarities to how we also acknowledge our ancestors as a black South African. Especially the discarding of bad ancestors because of their bad earthly existence, and how good ancestors are acknowledged as guides for the living. Interesting indeed.

    Among the Bakongo, Osiris is known as Nzala Mpanda, Isis as Nsona, Thoth as dikita (a bird in fables), Inpw as Mvumbi Mbumbulu, wi (the mummified body of Osiris, a mommy) as mvumbi or nzambi (to be distinguished from Nzambi: God which comes from the Egyptian Imn Ra). The Bakongo practiced mummification. It was suppressed during the colonial rule at keast in Belgian Congo.

    Very interesting. I'm sure others have mentioned that the Japanese kanji, ka, means power. Coincidence? Out of curiosity, does this spiritual system have a concept of redemption for evil spirits or is judgment considered final? It's interesting in that there are aspects that got incorporated into the religion of Christianity, and there seem to be elements that may have been incorporated into Hinduism or Buddhism, but they're not completely the same. For example, there doesn't seem to be the concept of samsara, i.e. the endless birth death and rebirth cycle. But there is a one time reincarnation. I hope you make more videos on this subject.

      I think so. There were many versions. Some with more chapters than others. And also depending on theological schools. The most known, although according to Wallis Budge containing "less than one-half of the chapters which are commonly assigned to that version (the Theban version), is the Papyrus of Ani.

    There is no book of the dead. Coming forth by day, they already knew before it was buried with them. This is why Africans should teach African history.

    • @HistoriaAfricana
      @HistoriaAfricana  Місяць тому

      Well the papyrus of Ani exists and there are variants of that name. We are just mentioning variants in other more modern texts. We have no reason to believe there were no other copies before 1500BC. Tombs in Luxor have similar texts and drawings on the walls, sarcophagi etc. Papyri are fragile and likely did not survive long enough. and what makes you think I am not African. Fa won kwasiasem fri ho. Tswwwww.

    Actually, the ancient Kemetians (Egyptians) not fearing death sound very similar to NDE (near death experiences) countless people from around the world witness. I strongly know there is an afterlife and ghosts. It's too much evidence to say otherwise. FBA all the way, everyday🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻!!!!! Yera💧.

    Trying to understand all the gods sounds like greek myths first Egyptian didn't believe in many gods so where did they come from

    • @HistoriaAfricana
      @HistoriaAfricana  Місяць тому +4

      We never mentioned many “gods” in the same sense as the Greeks. I have already belabored this point regarding the false notion of polytheism in Kemet. Divine manifeststions of Imana are not the same as gods. Egyptologists with little to no understanding of African spirituality are the ones spreading these false claims. Watch our videos on kemetic spirituality. The Greek pantheon is based on misinterpretation of kemetic spirituality. Of course they copied a lot of them from ancient Kemet. That is an indisputable fact! You are talking to someone who has a firm understanding of these matters. Thanks for commenting.
